Marcial said the league was just waiting for the approval of local government units (LGUs) for the return of scrimmages as the board of governors acknowledged that teams should be given 10 days to practice.
As stated from the source, they're still waiting for the LGU's approval to have a green light and to start the 10-day allocated practice before they announce the exact date of when does the games will resume, so I guess 1st week of February isn't final yet. But atleast we know that there's something we can look forward to especially that this games is likely to happen as the covid cases is also slowing down.
Its a win-win that this league will continue which is I think will resume at first . Its good too that they didn't went to the Bubble set-up which is we are expecting that they are doing. The number of cases too in the NCR are slowly decreasing already and overall cases are decreasing as well so... yeah I'm happy to see the league resume .
It was indeed a great news to us and soon we can begin betting on our favorite teams too
The PBA has already clarified 2 weeks ago that there will be no bubble set-up and will only resume the season when the covid cases will be reduced especially in NCR to make sure the safety of their players and staffs. As of now, the covid cases in the NCR are really decreasing everyday and it's a good news as the PBA games won't be postponed again anymore.
