Meanwhile, there's a rumor that Banchero might leave the Phoenix super LPG, where do you think he will sign?

COLUMN: Chris Banchero leaving Phoenix a 'big possibility,' says insider

Banchero maybe not be happy with his role with his current team. Looking for a new team might help him show his full potential, we know that he is good and his best season was when he was still playing with the Alaska Aces. Not sure if it's possible, but if there's a case he will be back, maybe he will be a big help to the team as they need a good point guard.
That rumors might be true, since we saw his performance with Phoenix and I can really say that he is not that good with that team, I think he can't go back to Aces anymore since he was there already but still depend to Alaska if they still see potential with Banchero. His next team will be hard to find for sure especially on a season like this, other teams cut some of its budget and they might not afford to pay Banchero, hoping for him to find a better team so he can work on his true potential.

If possible, better for him to go back to Aces. He can play his role well and the system is no longer new to him. It won't take long for him to adopt.

The question is will Phoenix allow him and who will be his replacement, who's player in his same value Aces may let go. Still lots of question behind

and the only thing now is to wait if this rumor is true and if his camp already talking to other management and dealing behind doors.

But what if he is looking for a better deal? I believe that Alaska can't give that to him because they are even letting their best players out, Calvin, Manuel, and Banchero all came from Alaska, and now the two are playing in the SMC teams. Maybe if Ginebra or SMB will give him a chance, he would be happy with that because these teams has a great chance of winning a championship.

PBA is still positive they will resume the conference.

https://pba.ph/news/if-situation-allows-3-provinces-keen-on-hosting-all-star-game

Also, it's stated that there will be an all-star, that's good for the fans as we have not seen a PBA all-star game for a while or in this pandemic season. Slowly but surely, first, they need to ensure that they'll resume (probably a bubble set up), then plan the all-star game.

That's good news for us fans and bettors, ensuring that they are in plan now if what to do to make sure that resume is coming, let's focus with the schedule for upcoming games first then discuss all-star after, we are longing to bet and we are waiting for them(PBA officials) to announce the final stand either bubble or semi-bubble setup.

As long as they are resuming in near time frame, it's good to wait and save some spare money to play along with those teams that will

They would not make such an announcement if they will not resume, so it's great news. Meanwhile, there's a rumor that Banchero might leave the Phoenix super LPG, where do you think he will sign?

Good to know that they are working to resume the conference, we might see them back in February, hopefully.
I've been waiting for that Allstar game, I wonder who will be the new part of this Allstar game most probably if they can finish the governors cup this Allstar game will push through as well, players should stay compose for now so when they come back in court, they are still in good condition.
Maintaining their condition is very important, I'm not sure if the IATF allows indoor training on teams but hopefully, they'll not restrict it as that's very important for the players to keep themselves fit all the time. There's no clear statement yet as to when PBA will return, but getting optimistic is very important because if the fans want it, they will find a way to give it to the fans.

They might post their final decision at least the final week of January or in the first 2 weeks of February.

I don't think that they can wait for longer than that or they will lose more money if they'll still not make a decision. Bubble is their best decision if they need to resume the Governor's Cup. Well, its good to see that the number of cases today decreased from around 28,000+ only after seeing consecutive 30,000+ cases for a few days.

Though the numbers are decreasing since there are many social media posts about Omicron and by that, instead of bringing patience to

the hospital. Many decide to stay at home and try curing themselves, just an opinion though,

if you surrender yourself to the hospital automatically doctors will count you as part of the infected patients,

sad to say but hospital not all but most are taking advantages of this situation.

Moving back to the league, we are all waiting for the announcement and see what would be the best alternative in resuming the games.

You said it right, they are taking advantage of the situation and that is because of greed. People who are infected with the virus has to only go to the hospital if they can't handle it anymore, if they can, then give those slots to the patient who has the severe effects of the virus. Nowadays, it's very expensive who you get admitted in the hospital due to covid 19, and with our economy struggling, it's not worth to spend money.

They have to decide and embrace another bubble set up or else it will take a long time before we will same setup.

With lots of new cases, IATF will not change anything, the stand to fight against this variant should be more strict to avoid further spread.

Better to embrace the reality, no other option aside from extending the postponement, otherwise cancelling might happen, not sure though

Since PBA is a business, and businessman knows more.. Wink
It's said that they've done already a meeting and they shall conduct assessment on what's their next step. I think there will be a bubble setup soon just to continue this current conference. They have no choice but to move onto those places that aren't in alert level 3.
That's the best possible decision that they can make and the worst is to stop and cancel the whole conference. But they've done a solution during the hard lock down days and with the current alert level, they can still move but with proper adjustment and approval still from the IATF.

They will be making their last option now, which is a bubble. Well, it's not new to them as they have already did that in the past seasons, so I expect that they'll be able to do it effectively and the conference will resume soon. I'm sure imports will be okay with that as long as they can play as the teams are playing them and they also know the current situation.

Do you have any prediction what month they'll resume?

Feels like a new bubble may comes up again as the best and safest alternative plan for them to keep the league going and of course the revenue. I don't know what's the mitigation plan by the government it feel like we really lost the confidence in them but the fault shouldn't be on them at least since we also have these hard-headed individuals who can't control themselves to get affected, I think most pinoys do.

We've been this before and I'm still hoping we can decrease it once again, hopeful that this will slow down.
Hopefully they'll grab that opportunity to play on a bubble again so they can finish the conference in time, this spike on cases is very unfortunate but we have no option now aside from this. I'm confident that we are slowly adopting this new normal, and the spike on cases will become normal as well let's hope for the real vaccine this year so we can move forward now, this is just like the other viruses before, we can survive on this.
The thing is, will the bubble require these players to get vaccinated? I don't know the details in regards to players who are and aren't yet vaccinated but I think it will be imminent if they wanted it this time again. Well, this too shall pass, we can sure survive this, the necessary thing is we must be willing to do so like the vaccination and other nice factors should come to play if we really wanted it.
Before the season was on pause, I think all the players are already required to get vaccinated so they can play, and now if they will set up a bubble, vaccination should not be an issue as they will just stay in one location, lesser chances that the virus will enter if they do the right health protocol. Do they announce already that they have plans to set up a bubble again? I guess it's too expensive for them, are they willing to spend again?

The alert level 3 implemented will possibly continue as we recorded new 39k cases which is currently the all time high as per DOH recorded so I think there will be more restriction will be implemented by IATF if the spread  will continuously high for the days running. So I think the option they only have is to run that bubble style game so that they can continue the league which I think they are planning right now.

Probably next month they will come up with an alternative plan, so far the spread still reaching more people though it isn't as deadlier like what those

Previous variants, but still the virus, can harm everyone. If they will decide to proceed, the only option for now is to have another bubble setup just

to continue and complete this season, unless the spread will be contained, and the government declares the level to a much lighter one..

Till then, we just have to wait for the final announcement.
They have no other choice right now but to enter to a "bubble" set-up.
Its either they will enter the bubble set-up or they will postpone the season.

Right now, there is already a community transmission of Omicron Variant and with how fast this virus spreads I'm pretty sure cases of around 30,000 or more will continue in the next few weeks and we might see new all time high in cases within the next few days to weeks. Right now, they are observing on what is happening and from that they will decide. Best choice is to go bubble set-up or they can wait until the number of cases goes down and if that happens then they might just continue what they've started.
They are thinking on it but they are also worried with their revenue since the league will get affected if they don't have fans watching in the arena but they cannot do anything since the number of cases still rises and its bit alarming as the cases is so high in a day only. For sure this alert level will take a long time before we can see the case drops.

The only solution for now is the bubble so hopefully they will do a right decision on this since if they lose revenue and sponsorship due to this incident maybe this will totally hurt the biggest league in the Philippines.
