Anyway, have you guys heard about PBA joining an Asian League? not sure though but I've seen one article regarding this one.

Will you share that article? How would they join? in what way?
I’ve read this one as well, its EASL not sure how they come one with the teams or GILAS will represent our country on that league. This is good for PBA and for the players, if we are able to join but let’s focus first on the up coming Governors cup, it will happen by next week and I’m so excited to see the teams again on court.

Will the Blackwater would improve next conference?

This is a good news though. Amer-Casio pair impresses as Blackwater beats Meralco in tune-up... however it's just a tune up game, hopefully they'll do that in the actual game as last season they are winless IIRC.

They will always be a farm team no matter what they do or how they fare against some teams in a tune-up game. Casio is in the twilight of his career and he can't be relied on to lead a team to the quarterfinals at least. These farm teams are the ones that bring the PBA down but seem they are mum about it, maybe because of the amount of money involved, hope this will change in the near future.

Blackwater and Terraferma are the worst teams in the PBA, so what can we expect from them anyway?
They'll probably have a little improvement but they'll never win a championship because they are farm teams of big teams in the PBA.
They can have a good start but will still have a bad finish, I've seen that most of the time.

Yes PBA and other games as well are also starting their own to get everything back to normal, to everything what it's used to be. It's really fun and entertaining to watch PBA games live in-person even in MOA Arena. Let's just hope that this new strain of virus will not get us to go back in quarantine modes.
Looks like we are slowly getting back to normal simply because of elections, and maybe after that we might be on trouble again especially if there's a lot of mutation coming to us, this pandemic still affecting many lives and that include sports. Missing the live games with PBA and the excitement cheering for your teams, let's all hope for the best that PBA will be granted by live games soon. That’s East Asia Super League 2022, that news hits the headline and that could be a great exposure being one of the best country in Asia based on FIBA ranking. Well, we are slowly getting back to normal and adopt this new normal, this virus will stay for sure but more vaccines will be created to fight this, it will become a normal flu soon and live games with Audience will also start in our country.

Thanks for the links. He firstly denied his involvement with the deal and that's usually going to be the first thing he's going to do because it just pops and that poor bettor has shared it on social media. He has forgotten how quickly to spread information through it and can easily make it viral.
When De Guzman and the accuser goes on face to face, there will be an intense face off between and the two and many information that haven't heard yet will come out for sure.

He destroyed his career with just a small amount he would make, if he avoided giving tips, he could have played with the SM Beerman and maybe given a break if he do well which would made him a millionaire, too bad for him, he was attracted with instant money without realizing that he risk his career for that.
That's him being careless and not contented with what he has attained. A lot of good players are wanting to get in on his position but he's the one that got lucky and chosen to get into the league.
But with his luck, he has put himself into the wrong situation by rigging a game with the little amount that he can even earn and at least get with some sponsors. A very bad decision that he has made and I don't know where he's going to be led by the decision thrown to him.
The case is still pending investigation, but he is already banned for the moment, so if the investigation may take too long, that is how long he will be out even if he does not really make a violation.

@LogitechMouse

Thanks for that wonderful update, seeing the PBA slowly getting back to normal is a huge improvement and that will bring more fun. Maybe we will see it more entertaining to watch especially the team which has the biggest number of fans, and that is non other than the Ginebra San Miguel.

Not sure they will but hopefully they will improve because they have an import already and Casio is a big help due to his experience. Blackwater and Terraferma are the worst teams in the PBA, so what can we expect from them anyway?

There's news I've read that PBA has made a deal with Easy Asia Super League. I didn't know that there's an existing league but it's composed of the Philippines and other countries too.

Even with the ease restriction, looks like having a live audience is still not possible. IATF is sometimes crap at making decisions lol.
That's true but we should remain optimistic that they'll allow the audience this conference.

Meanwhile, Brownlee is already confirmed to have arrived in the Philippines.

here's the pic.

Like I mentioned previously, the Governor's Cup is surely this month. I'm also having a thing in mind before that it will be on Ynares because if anyone passes by there, there's a large PBA poster on the main gate. I'm just a few kilometers away at the venue that's why I regularly pass by there but do not pay attention much to that PBA poster.

So, we can bet for the PBA again next week, hope everything will be fine during the opening, and also hope that IATF will allow vaccinated spectators to watch the games live even half the stadium capacity.

I guess only C Stand and Pringle are the new faces of the team that Brownlee has not played with before. However, IIRC,  Brownlee, and C Stand are teammates in Alab Pilipinas before, or rival? So these two meet and know each other hopefully, so let's hope that bond will be stronger as they play for the first time on the same team in the PBA.

They are rivals, Brownlee played for the Philippines while C-Stan played for Hongkong if I'm not mistaken. The bright side for Ginebra when Brownlee is around is that C-Stan may not need to score heavily as Brownlee will do that for them and he is also a willing passer so this will make C-Stan play inspired basketball.

So, we can bet for the PBA again next week, hope everything will be fine during the opening, and also hope that IATF will allow vaccinated spectators to watch the games live even half the stadium capacity.

As long as there's no case yet for Omicron covid virus, I think we have a chance to see a crowd in the game. For now, our government is temporarily imposing a travel ban from some countries to prevent the virus from entering our country, but based on history, the virus will still spread, so maybe vaccination should be increased.

Our government recently announced a national vaccination day from Nov 29 to December 1.. I think that's the effort they made in order to strengthen our immune system against the threat of the omicron virus. Even if the virus will enter our country, it will not create a panic anymore as we have adjusted already since this virus has been with us for almost 2 years already.

Imports will be arriving this week, but I'm most excited to see Brownlee arriving in the PH.

As per a report, he will arrive today, so let's wait for an update.

Dec 8 is the opening of PBA Governors Cup right?

Still semi-bubble, it's that mean  that the player will stay in the nearest hotels or rented house along the gym? or it's just the limitation of the fans?

can't wait to see how team will perform especially those trades that take place during the break.

New challenges with those import backing the local stars, who from SMB and Pangilinan group will stand out and dominate?

or Any chance with those single franchise to win a title?

Yes, it will start on Dec. 8. It's still not yet sure about the setup for all of the participating teams and players. I haven't read that the setup is going to be semi-bubble but most likely it won't be since the precaution and alert level in NCR isn't that high anymore.
What the management is pushing is the possibility that the fans would be able to watch the games live. I think that Marcial and his fellows are focusing and pushing for that.

Since the import list was released, we don't have any news now regarding the Governors Cup opening. Manila will remain in Level 2 status and on that tier, sports activities are allowed. I hope Manila will just keep its Level 2 status so we can now expect the opening of the Governor's Cup without any problem. It's been a while since Ynares, Araneta, MOA Arena, etc. host a PBA game. It should be done now!

There's an update, mate.

Ynares Center will host the PBA Governors Cup.

Semi-bubble setup again so nothing new and just the same as the last conference. They should at least allow 50% capacity for vaccinated people. Still no intense and action and they just like playing in a practice session with referees involved.

Its been years since SMB and MVP are dominating the league with or without imports so.... I'm pretty sure that it will be the same this Governor's Cup.
A quick google search and you will see that from 2013-2019, the champion of Governor's Cup are coming from SMC so I will not be surprised if it will be the same scenario this season or it will be coming from MVP.

Though I want to see a new champion right now especially those independent "farming :X" teams, the chances of them winning is very low. Right now I'm just excited to watch PBA again after weeks of off season. I will still go for SMB as my pick to win Smiley. Whose your pick in winning this year's Governor's Cup?
