A news about Marc Pingris. He unretires and will play for Nueva Ecija in MPBL. His passion for basketball can't be removed and good to see him back play again but no longer for PBA but now for MPBL.

Also see this news and its not a shock to me since many athletes are coming back from their retirement so basketball here in our country are also belong to that. Its a good decision for Pingris for sure and probably he misses playing on court with his favorite sports, let’s see if Nueva Ecija will become more competitive after Marc joining this team. Seriously, MPBL are getting more serious year after year.
I agree with that, they could be a big competitor of the PBA as long as they are getting a good network to broadcast their games. Their league is not manipulated unlike in the PBA where one company could own multiple teams, that's not fair IMO as they could rigged a game if their teams will face each other and rigging games is like fooling the fans, that's why speculation will never be eliminated.

Is he really retires in basketball or this is just a strategy so he can move to MPBL?
He only retires last May 2021, and now he goes back to court well if there’s a good offer and no pressure to play at all, he can really accept it beside I still want him to see on court playing. Good luck on his new team and hopefully MPBL will get more exposure just like the PBA.
He retired on PBA and that speaks for his actual retirement. Probably there's a good offer that's hard to reject and that's why he's in. Also, he loves basketball so that's not questionable if he gets out from his retirement.
He has no active contract and he can accept any contract when he was retired. But now that he has accepted this offer, he'll stay there and we can still watch him play again in the court.

He can choose to play if he feels he is healthy, and the level of competition in MPBL is not that strong compared to the PBA, so as a big man, he can still dominate. I like his decision as MPBL really opens doors for PBA players that have cut their contract already, good luck to him, and hopefully he can contribute big time to his team like what he did during his time in the PBA.
There’s a lot of good players as well on MPBL and so underrated so this can still be hard ball for Marc but I also believe that there’s a good offer at a lesser pressure that’s why he choose to accept it. He’s still healthy and love to play basketball, its good that he accept it because MPBL has been the place for the players from PBA.

Good decision for Japeth, he knew that he no longer on his prime he will only bring shame to his career.  Grin

Kidding aside, he has a good relationship with Gin kings management so why bother to move away? His team gives him another chance for his career
it's better to end it up and retire using the banner.

We never know who among those stars will change up their minds and transfer to B-League. Only time will reveal that for us.

What are you saying? Even not in prime, he is still better at those all active Filipinos playing right now in B-league. Smiley And why does he get an offer if you think he is already past his prime?

Who among the current PH players there playing at B-league can match Japeth's skills? Parks Jr.? Paras? Ravena's? Those PH players are in their prime but look they are not that ringing the bell in the basketball world. Nothing will be a shame in Japeth's career if he decides to be signed at B-league.

I read some news popped up on my social media account, and it says that Japeth Aguilar will stay with Ginebra despite the offers from B-League. I think every one is getting an offer, especially the big man in the PBA and we will likely hear more news that a new player had already signed with B-League.

Maybe our performance during the international competition made the Japanese realize how good our talents were.

If Christian will leave after this season, who might replace him as their center?

Good decision for Japeth, he knew that he no longer on his prime he will only bring shame to his career.  Grin

If he is not in his prime anymore, I don't think he will get an offer from B-League, so I disagree with that assumption as Japeth can still put up big numbers and is very useful on the defensive side. Aguilar is already 34 years, some players retire at age 38-40, so he can still play for 4 years.

Don't talk about the "shame" because Japeth does not ask any favor for Ginebra to sign him, he did his best, he played hard that's why he was signed. If he chooses to sign with the b-League, Ginebra should not say anything bad as it is what it is, everyone changes their mind for the betterment of their future.

B-League is recruiting everyone who has potential but they will never get all they want because some players will remain loyal and will stay in the PBA. Ginebra is a championship contender team, so they will likely receive some good bonuses if they'll win, that's another competition aside from their monthly salary which is based on their contract.

Maybe our performance during the international competition made the Japanese realize how good our talents were.
Maybe because in some of the games we beat the Team Japan.

If Christian will leave after this season, who might replace him as their center?
They will get from their roster for sure, Prince Caperal or  Joe Devance , and don't forget that Japeth can also play a center position.

PBA stars might think about it and consider those offers, 1 season can bring decent paychecks which you can established good business for your future, instead of playing long years from PBA Cool
It's really about their future and those that are serious with it, they'll take the offer and settle when they retire. But we don't know the retirement benefits from PBA. So they have to consider bigger paychecks on the present and settle when they're ready for it.
These offers really good to decline and that's why some of them have already went to B League and we know that it won't be stopping there because there will batches that shall take the offer as they're being scouted to play there.

The opportunity given to play with B-League is not for everyone, it's only for players that are extremely good so we will still see the PBA continue to exist. About the benefits, maybe there are more benefits when playing in the PBA but that is still lower compared to what an import will receive playing in B-League, and as long as they know how to manage their finances, they can certainly save money for the business to secure their future.

Agree with that, the disparity of amount is too big, anyone who is in a clear state of mine will take that opportunity as PBA is not forever, you'll be traded when you gets old because that's a norm in the PBA. Meanwhile, Cabagnot is now an MPBL team owner.

They have to learn from that experience and start venturing their profession since Basketball is not forever for them and having other source of income is good for them. Take every opportunity that they have while they are still young so that offer from Japan is a big thing. Yes, Cabagnot is already a team owner that means to me he knows how to handle his money and its really good for him.

I'm not surprised about the news on Cabagnot as I saw his passion for coaching too. So by owning a team, he can develop his coaching ability and with the decreasing popularity of PBA, MPBL will surely become more popular as the format followed is like the NBA where a team represents a city or province.

I think there are plenty of PBA players who already ventured into business, some of the personalities I know are Jason Castro and Kiefer Ravena.

When you're whole life the only thing that you're doing is basketball and when it is your passion then they will always find a way just to let themselves involve to the thing they love.
Its always good to see a player turning into a owner of the team or a part of the team management. Some are just having a business whatsoever.

I expect these old players of PBA to follow him maybe or will try to be a part of the team management. With Cabagnot owning a team, he can always share his experiences to his players. He is the captain of SMB back when they are dominating the league and with his experiences, many players will learn from him. GL to him Smiley

Very wise move, he knows that he might be on his retiring stage, by owning a team you will continue your passions with this sport, and the very benefits are the side where potential profits will flow coming from endorsements and sponsors. retiring stage is not the end but a new beginning where you will need to start venturing your out of the court life.

Good luck to Cabagnot and his team, hope it will be more successful after he acquires.

It goes for the experienced and Scouters think that will really contribute not just for the team that they will be set but as well as for the B League itself.
We don't like the trades that are happening despite staying with a team for so long. It's just really sad not only for the fans but mostly to the player that will be traded even if he's found being loyal to the team franchise.
