The defense of TNT is ready to counter the aggressiveness of Magnolia, it looks like they got the taste of their own medicine and I think they didn't expect that to happen. The fact that they have a  high turnover, that means they are pressured enough that they were not able to effectively implement the game plan, in short, it was a very bad game for them that they need to correct in game 2.

TNT limits Magnolias offense, as we've seen the productions of key stars.

Sangalang and Abueva are not in their cheat mode, while the rookie Williams sees that there are nor Ross type player who will stop him.

First game was taken by TNT and if the same pattern to reach game 7 will be followed, the next game will be for Magnolia. Not sure if that

will be the same case as adjustment will surely happen. Magnolia needs to work it out not be left by 2 game deficits.

Williams lead the TNT to a win, this is nice for him as I'm sure he will be a problem for the Magnolia, no Ross anymore that would limit his offense and with this win, he will be more confident in the 2nd game. Pogoy, on the other hand, has not exploded yet, but in case Magnolia will try to focus the defense on Williams, Pogoy will surely do the honor to carry the team as only these two players are the major contributors of the team.

As we can see in the scoreboard (https://pba.ph/recap?match=1996064), Castro did not score a lot but TNT still dominated, TNT has really changed and improve as a whole.

The turnovers were a huge factor why the Magnolia had a loss in this game, also, Paul Lee has not gotten his game back yet, I don't know maybe he is still feeling some injury because he was injured when the PBA was paused temporarily before they transferred to this venue now.

Anyway, regardless of how dominant TNT is, it's still one loss for Magnolia, and just like the game with SMB, we saw how they adjusted and beat the TNT in the 2nd game.

When the PBA didn't start, Williams demanded for a monthly salary that is more than what is usual in the league and it seems like it is worth it because he is a very big piece in the team's rotation.
Anyway, these are the 3 reasons why Magnolia got defeated by a huge margin in that game.

1. Free throws - 26/44?? You are in the PBA Finals and you shot that low? In the first half alone, they shot less than 50% from the free throw line causing TNT to have a huge lead. TNT got so many fouls but unfortunately, MAG didn't convert those free throws into points.
2. Turnovers - 28 turnovers and TNT scored 26 points from their turnovers. We already saw SMB having these much turnovers and they lost against TNT and now MAG is doing the same. They can't afford to have these much turnovers or else, they might get swept in these Finals.
3. Paul Lee - special mention for him at least for me. In his last 3 games against Meralco, he scored way less than his usual points per game and this game he only scored 12 with 3/12 shooting. He is one of the main scorers of the team but he has this bad performances for 4 straight games already. Kudos to the defenders of TNT still because they manage to lessen Lee's production.

Overall, a win for the TNT and it is now 1-0. Second game will be on the 22nd. Adjustments will be made on MAG and I hope that they will come back in the 2nd game. I would love to see this Finals into 7 games .

Sorry for your loss man, this is the first time I saw the Magnolia getting dominated by an opponent, TNT is really something and if they will sweep the Magnolia, I would understand it because they have a lot of options on players that will generate points for them and Mikey Williams just proved his worth again and he deserved to get a max contract, not a rookie one.

I bet on the 3rd quarter only, I got Magnolia -2.5 for 3rd quarter.
I'm thinking maybe they need to have to play strong in the 3rd quarter to bring the lead of the TNT into single digit only in the 4th quarter.

With the looks of it, I think this game belongs to TNT, and forcing to bet for Magnolia might not be good for now.

I did really think that this would be a close game but turns out to be a blown-out one.

Good thing that I have not bet for this game 1  , really have a hard time predicting who will win but I'm locked on betting for Magnolia on game 2.

Probably that's the reason why the handicap keeps rising, but I'm hoping that Magnolia will be able to have a big run in the 3rd quarter.

The line movement is just probably because of the fact that TNT is the better team, they beat the SMB which are dominating in the All Filipino cup, so people expect them to win against the Magnolia Hotshots.

I don't know what's happening but it seems like the handicap is going up, actually, as of this writing, it's already +4.5 for Magnolia Hotspots. Maybe let's be more careful with this line movement as probably one of the players of Magnolia will not be able to play, it's just my speculation but it's better to just put the bet on live.

Up to +3.5 now, I like TNT but I like the odds of Magnolia, I don't think they'll be dominated here as Magnolia is also a good team that is ready to compete with the TNT. So, I guess I will take ML and +3.5, and of course, I like to bet on some extra special odds offered by my bookie.

It is and PBA should be alerted on it because B League plans to be next to NBA if not the 2nd then one of the biggest basketball leagues in the world. They know what they're doing and they know how to market their league. Unlike PBA, it's always the usual, it's been a lot of years and we always see the sister companies at the finals and it's always like that. Fans are too tired with such script-like league because there's no other than who are making themselves at the finals.

Thanks for sharing this information  but by looking inside Stake odd still unavailable, maybe they will cater tomorrow on the earlier part, TNT after beating SMB might get the side of bookies as a favorite, though the difference is more likely from how they treat the series against SMB, small gap so it will more on the bettors side to choose which team they think will win game 1.

Martingale for your favorite Maybe magnolia have something to surprise their fans. Their performances during the regular games are very decent, explosive and very synchronize, The chemistry between players is in the same level of TNT.

I believe it will be a balanced match but I still like the TNT to win here because I think they have the better team and they are more experienced compared to the Magnolia Hotshots. If Chot Reyes will win this conference, he might hold the TNT coaching job until he retires, so it's very important for him and it will also increase his championship achievement as a coach.

This is series is so interesting and exciting as well because there is no team that has a clear advantage over the other. One PBA analyst has said that this series is not between coach Chot Reyes vs Chito Victolero but rather it is a battle between Chot Reyes and Calvin Abueva. The brilliance of coach Chot will once again be tested and let us see how he depend  Abueva as the latter is the key for Magnolia to win the championship.

Yes, Abueva won a championship with Alaska in his rookie year, that is why he was named the ROY that time. 

Matched up between these two teams is almost balanced,

TNT may get the favorite, but in terms of spread, the chance that it will not be that much. Magnolia also has the counter to each attack that

coach Chot may use the game will be between coaches in how they will rotate players to have a winning combo inside the court, I'll be eyeing

for Abueva if how he will take this series personally, it's been a long time since he won a title, if I remember it right that was when he still playing

with Alaska.

Hopefully the spread of TNT is not so high if they'll be listed as the favorite to win in game 1, it would be fun if we will do another martingale play as this could be another close series IMO.
