They should make Paul Lee ready as they have a great start, undefeated at the moment and if Paul Lee will not play due to injury, I'm afraid they will struggle as no one could replace him with the same skills and talent. I guess they will resume this month too, it won't be long as they have already plan ahead before the new restriction came in.

Paul Lee is the leader of the team, but this team is still a good team even without him. The presence of Calvin Abueva makes this team be more energetic and their defense is really impressive. They have good guards as well, so there's no need to rush Paul Lee, he should be given a good rest as there's no urgency for this team to win every game since they are rank in the number 1 spot now, a solo number 1.

We all know that because before Paul Lee, it was James Yap who got traded to ROS for Paul Lee. I don't know about the impact for the fans but I think James Yap has more impact and contribution, so Paul Lee still has to prove he can again win a championship, especially in the all Filipino cup.

James Yap won't be traded with the Rain or Shine if he still meets the expectation of the team. Paul Lee is younger, and for sure he can still achieve more success than James Yap, and I think anytime soon, James Yap will retire but we will never forget him as he is Mr. Big Shot in the PBA.

I think he is still active now with ROS, but he only played limited minutes, probably because the team sees he can't be effective anymore when getting a lot of minutes like he used to in the past.

There's no decision for the final venue yet but more importantly, IATF allowed them to resumed on GCQ and MGCQ areas.

The ECQ will only last until the 20th. I don't see why PBA should give another effort to continue on the province. It's just over a week more then PBA will again resume at their usual arena. No hassle, no extra cost, no need to comply again with new protocols on the province and so. If they will start to pack up and fix everything, it might take almost a week or 3-4 days at least a minimum. Only a few days more and ECQ will be lifted here.
I've heard that it's going to be in Batangas for which the news before that someone posted a banner that they're welcoming PBA. But that was long time ago.
Yeah, there's no announcement yet. I understand that they have to cope up with such schedule and such delays might affect the entire schedule of the league and that's probably why they're pushing to find a venue even if this ECQ is just two weeks.

I have read in the news that the venue now that they seriously consider is Pampanga is it is MGCQ there.

wherever they will holding the bubble, I'm just glad that they are considering the resumption of PBA. Too much bad news these days and news like this will at least give some relief to people who are just staying at home since it's ECQ in some parts of the country.

PBA in Pampanga
Now, the PBA hierarchy is considering other provinces to host its game, including Pampanga, which hosted the Philippine Cup last year under a full bubble setup.

Pampanga is currently under MGCQ.

It happened all of a sudden and no one has expected that there's going to be an ECQ and the nearby provinces are also going to be part of it as we're in a bubble plus.
The PBA officials, if they're decided to put that back in Pampanga then that's much better as they've got a lot of choices so that they can continue the league even if there's a hindrance due to the implementation of the ECQ.

Let's remain optimistic, the PBA will surely resume because they are planning a mini-bubble in a location they used before.
We are all patiently waiting for the return, until now there's still not a tentative date as to when the game will resume but it should be soon or this month.

All we can do now is to wait and hope that they'll going announce it the sooner, and like what you have just said, let's remain optimistic as for sure we all affected due to our daily gambling practices.  Roll Eyes Grin But kidding aside I'm really excited with how SMB will perform.

I see some clips of practices featuring TR7, he's healthy and seems that the whole cast are in a mission,

fueling them up with a healthy JMF and a running CJ Perez and to Complete the cast bring in Ross and Lassiter or Santos and Cabagnot.. Roll Eyes Wink

They are back to their old location, well, this is a guaranteed success as they made a successful season during their first bubble, and that was a full bubble because there's no vaccine at that time. I'm glad the PBA had quickly decided, they don't really want to cancel this season.

Just saying  Roll Eyes Maybe that's the reason why they are not announcing anything, those are possible reasons as they needed to plan deeper since if they will move to another location, some sort of extra budget will needed.

While, waiting for another week and see what are the developments with this virus may let them play without any additional cost.

Taking time to wait and see if they'll going to announce updates regarding to the resume of the league.

BATANGAS won’t be able to host the PBA Philippine Cup.

On Friday, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) gave the league the go signal to resume its games in provinces which are only under a regular General Community Quarantine (GCQ) or a modified GCQ.

Too bad, Batangas has just been placed under GCQ (General Community Quarantine) with heightened restrictions starting Friday.

No venue for Batangas, I think this is the final venue and I hope they'll prepare it soon so they can resume.

Good for them as another lockdown is imposed and the Olympics is near to it's end,

fans needs some entertainment just  waiting  for some time before the resume, some discussions needs to finalized between teams and all the
people involve inside this league.

Expect that the game will resume PBA doesn't like to cancel this season, fans wait for long to see this rolling.

Great news, at least for now the venue is already assured and all we have to do is just wait for the schedule of the resumption of the games. As per their official website (https://pba.ph/), there's no written schedule yet, so they are probably still working on the requirements and getting the place ready.

Meanwhile, this delay in the conference helped Paul Lee to give time in recovering from his injury.

If the number of infections will increase, then for sure the government has no choice but to implement a lockdown again and we would not like it.
Though the PBA plan to resume the season in Batangas in a mini bubble set up, we still don't know when they'll resume as they have read the play first.

Cone is okay with the bubble, they might still win again as they won the first PBA bubble.

No other option as the country is fearing to face a much wider new delta variant if they won't act as early as now,

PBA needs to consider pausing the season again or if the government allows them to facilitate outside metro manila,

Maybe we need to wait for the final announcement from the league governors, there's no news yet but if the green signal from IATF comes up, another

bubble set up might happened, looking to see all healthy players to play inside this setup.

I think they already found a new location, and hopefully it will be realize and the conference will resume soon.

PBA eyeing to continue season in Batangas as NCR shifts to ECQ
This might not be push through because there's a possibility that region 4A will be place to enhance community quarantine together with NCR on August 6 due to increasing number of infected of the virus though its not certain yet.

The official announcement will be made tomorrow based on the governor of Cavite. Batangas is part of region 4A thus if this happened then its not going to be the set location for the league unless there's an exception. Nevertheless its not official yet so lets see what will happen.

Sad but PBA needs to slow things out as this Delta variant is damaging more people, they need to consider the health of every people who works inside   together with their whole families.

Though it's been a long delay for this season but it's situations where league governors need to set things out, deeper analysis is what they needed not just the locations but more on the possible effect of this virus.

There's not assurance that even you already take the vaccines you are now safe, this new variants is far dangerous than the first covid19.
During the old days, creating a new vaccine to a new strain of virus really takes at least 3 years before they will be used in public.
Now the virus only took a year before it has been used possibly because of how fast it is to be transmitted from person to person. All vaccines have side effects and that is for sure. COVID Vaccines doesn't make you immune but you can get only mild symptoms and can recover quickly when you are infected by the virus which is already good.

Viruses are constantly mutating thus, we've seen new variants like the Alpha, Beta, Gamma and now the Delta. This Delta variant surely is affecting not only the old but there is a proof already that even those younger kids (around 1-3 yrs. old) can get affected by this virus too. On the other hand, I hope that this Delta variant and the ECQ will not stop what the PBA has started already. They are kinda like in the halfway or near halfway of the season already and this mustn't stopped. Relocating is a good idea Smiley
