But on my end I prepare some balance since I want to bet on certain teams which currently have a great advantage to wim since they have strong roosters.
Good luck mate, hopefully, we will have a profitable season. I enjoyed watching PBA more than watching NBA, I love to support what's our and ever since I was a kid I'm already a fan of PBA but I just don't have the opportunity to bet that time, now, it's very easy to bet so I won't waste this opportunity.

Tab Baldwin explains dynamics behind any Gilas decision on Jordan Clarkson

Quote
GILAS Pilipinas program director Tab Baldwin said he would definitely love to have Jordan Clarkson in the national team in the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup, whether as a local or naturalized player.

If this would happen then the Gilas Pilipinas will be respected in this league.
Clarkson has been playing like a superstar in the NBA now, everyone knows him as he will definitely win the 6th man of the year.

So brothers, let's hope for this to come into reality.

Just my gut feeling, Jordan Clarkson will be in Gilas uniform in FIBA 2023 as a naturalized player. Even though the Philippine squad will give up some height with the inclusion of Clarkson but with the way he is playing now, nobody will pass up on him and you are right, we will be respected by other teams because of him.

I'm imagining it already, I hope it will happen in the near future and I hope Clarkson would still play the same or will improve. With the way Clarkson is playing, it's possible that he will get a max contract with the Jazz and that would motivate him to play harder.

Metro Manila will now shift into GCQ because most Metro Manila Mayors are alarmed at almost Php 1Billion expected revenue loss on that ECQ to MECQ period. Business should now come back and people have to go on their respective works now.

This is a good sign on PBA as they will back again in business. I'm against bubble setup as some players can't give their 100% performance on every game affecting our future bets but if there's no choice, then no choice for me too but to adjust. Don't want to see some teams again not taking seriously the competition like Coach Yeng Guiao did last season although I understand him on that part.

It will not affect our bet if we know the situation or what's gonna happen inside. However, it will affect the excitement as it's possible an injury will happen again since they will be rushing the schedule. The normal schedule of the PBA starts on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, they are used to this setup and they can really rest, but in a bubble, they might play on a daily basis as we witnessed in the past.

I know you guys are really excited about betting, but please calm down, the time will come, let's just focus first on the news about the opening of the PBA. It will be open next month, we will start betting and the good thing is that it's like NBA where we can bet on a daily basis.

Agree with you @Sanitough .. they will not follow the usual schedule because it will be too expensive from them to stay in a certain location if they will not have the game on a daily basis.

we got news ; https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/lgu-permission-required-before-pba-teams-can-practice-in-metro-manila-a795-20210514?ref=feed_1_section

Everyone is excited because that's going to give us non stop betting. Imagine, betting on NBA in the morning and PBA in the afternoon, I guess it would give us a satisfying day so we prepare a good bankroll so we would last.

Not only bettors are excited to see the league open up but as well the fans who doesn't want to gamble PBA or shall we say basketball is like a religion on Philippines and many filipinos like to see their favorite start up. But on my end I prepare some balance since I want to bet on certain teams which currently have a great advantage to wim since they have strong roosters.

MECQ on the Bubble Plus is until tomorrow Friday, May 14. I think even if it will lift up or not, PBA will still follow the plan of opening in June or July.
The announcement was made and again the NCR bubble plus will be undergoing a GCQ with high restrictions. I don't know what are those restrictions but let's wait this morning as they'll classify what does that means. Although they may say that it's too early to celebrate but things are becoming better and we're like this. We want to see the betterment of the situation and if there is a team that has already announced their training, for sure we're going to see some news that the others will also have themselves followed. This means that the meeting with IATF is a success. Congratulations to the negotiating team of PBA and its management.

GCQ with heightened restrictions for NCR+ bubble

As expected, MECQ will be lifted and NCR+ Bubble will now again in GCQ status.

What to expect regarding the league's plan? Here's my own view:

*No need to undergo training outside Metro Manila or GCQ areas (less cost)
*An increase of limited capacity allowed in the practice (more players can now practice at the same time)
*If the situation got better and a possible MGCQ next month, we might see a non-bubble setup wherein few audiences are allowed (less cost and slowly getting back to the usual environment of PBA where player's morale will gain back compare to a stressful bubble setup).

It's now confirmed that Meralco is the first team in the PBA that will undergo practice and training in Ilocos Sur.

No confirmation yet for other teams but it's expected that they will follow right away.

MECQ on the Bubble Plus is until tomorrow Friday, May 14. I think even if it will lift up or not, PBA will still follow the plan of opening in June or July.

July is already too long to wait, they can open the season next month, that's the announcement that we read which was posted before. The same setup happened in the previous bubble, first, they were allowed to practice, then the season was open. However, I think we will still see the same which is the All Filipino cup.

Yup, it's too long of a wait already and the NBA Finals is over by that time, there's a lull on the basketball bettors here lol.

The commissioner have said that the opening on June 15 really depends on the players themselves, on how they follow the health protocols to avoid getting contaminated by the virus. I do think that the players will do their best to impress the IATF so that they will be given the go signal to start the season.

There future is also at stake here, so if they will not cooperate, they might face a problem in the future. PBA players are professionals, they are paid to work or play, so there's no reason they will not take the protocols lightly and violate the rules, I'm optimistic that it's going to be another success.

For the current situation in Phils they will comply on what the league's need since majority of them needs money for survival on this current crisis, also I didn't see anyone who's pain in the ass on their team just like other NBA players who didn't follow protocols intentionally nor gave problems to their team on other reasons. For sure the target date will come in reality since currently the vaccine has already been rolled out and I believe this one will ease the restrictions on every corner in Philippines.

PBA already spends money for these travels, inspections, safety protocols, testing kits, and other miscellaneous spendings.

We can have an assurance that their meeting with the IATF a few weeks ago is a success so PBA is now continuing its roadmap. They won't execute these plans like stating the date of the practice if they were told in the meeting that PBA won't be allowed to operate at least a few months from now.

Laban!
I'm very optimistic that with the recent developments that are happening around PBA, for sure that the 2021 PBA season will start anytime.
On the other hand, there is this a part of my mind saying that "what if the worst thing happen and that is an instant surge of cases". I'm not being negative here but I'm just thinking both sides but I'm leaning more on the positive since I want to watch some PBA games too.

With all of the teams starting to practice already, I'm very excited to watch PBA games again. I'm curious about the new roster of Ginebra as well as TNT and SMB. I just hope that there will be no negative things that will happen at the time they start training and when the league starts.

As long as the league is not affected, they will continue. Remember that the setup is a bubble set up, they'll stay in a location until the end of the conference and for me, that's already the safest way to avoid getting infected by covid-19, unless someone would violate the rules.

Thanks for sharing this very important information @Hypnosis00.

As the training will start, there should be no more doubt that the PBA season will start next month.
This is a contact training, which means the same set up when they are playing an actual game, and this would not be approved if there's no measure in place for this, so there's no need to worry, let's just remain optimistic and we will eventually a new season getting started next month.

news related to practice.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/meralco-set-to-complete-pba-protocols-on-swab-testing-could-resume-practice-on-may-15-a795-20210512?ref=feed_1_section

Seems that the PBA is heading that way. With the number of cases steadily going down every day, there's a big chance that the planned opening on the middle of next month will push through. Commissioner Willie Marcial has said in his press conference that it's up to the players on how they will handle the protocol set by the IATF.

The PBA got to get going like the other basketball leagues in other countries. They have do it and i'm sure the PBA can.

The development is very positive, though we are witnessing a bubble again that's alright as long as we will witness a new PBA season. The sooner they'll start practicing the better, they need to prepare for the opening so their body could easily adjust, unlike before that some players are prone to injury since the practice time was short there was uncertainly from players that time.

hopefully this time everyone will participate, a complete squad will make it more interesting to watch and more competitive for every team.
