Like all of us here, I'm also excited to watch PBA. On the other hand though, SMC teams got stronger but did MVP teams got stronger too and can they compete with the SMC teams with their current rosters?? Hmmm.

With the arrival of coach Chot Reyes, TNT for sure will improved this coming season and i think this gonna be the start of rebuilding on this team. Whatever the shortcomings after the season i think they will focus on that one to improve.

On the other hand, SMC teams, specifically the Ginebra Kings will not be the automatic champion with the arrival of CStand. Remember when he was drafted by SMB, all of us thought that other teams were only competing for the second place as majority of us think that SMB is the automatic champion as the Fajardo-Standhardinger tandem is so strong on paper but it did not convert on the court.

I don't understand, how is it Jericho Cruz playing for Guam?
I'm just surprised reading this news.

Jericho Cruz could miss PBA games for NLEX due to Guam commitment

Why is he part of the Guam National Team?

Remember that this season is going to be exciting, there's a lot of movement prior to this season and I'm sure you are excited to see which teams are successful with their decision.

Yes, because for the first time, I believe that SMB will have a tough season even with Fajardo back in the lineup. Ginebra is stronger now, and Magnalia as well. I believe either of the teams I've mentioned will win the PBA All Filipino Finals.
More stronger teams = even more competition and that is what Fans are waiting for. We want competition. We want other teams to be stronger. SMB fan here but I want other teams to be more competitive too especially in this All Filipino Cup so that it will not be too boring to watch.

Agree to that, it's no longer the domination of the Beermen the upgrade of this two other franchise of SMB corp. will give them a hard time.

Last bubble champ BGSM added CStand giving them a two tower with speed and skills, while Magnolia added Abueva who can provide them additional

boost as the way he played this game. though it's not that this 3 teams alone there's also the Pangilinan groups and the rest of the franchises that will
compete with them.

We did not see C. Stand and Abueva played with their respective now in the last bubble, but it was Abueva who really help the Phoenix Fuel Masters to reach the semi Finals IIRC and to think it was his comeback after a long suspension, you can tell that he really has the talent and he is something special. On the other hand, C. Stand and his team had a back season last bubble, but hopefully he will have a good one under his new team.

I also don't see that just because of the bubble setup it will affect their performances. Well, probably for some of the players, they're depending on the cheer of the crowd but that's no reason because all of them are professionals and they've all started even without the cheering of the crowd. We've just got another news that Meralco is already in practice after the news that they're the first team to have a scrimmage on Laoag. (https://www.pba.ph/news/bolts-kick-off-preparations-for-pba-46th-season)

Another great news and for sure each teams will start having theirs too. Knowing that PBA is already finishing the schedules they maybe just waiting for the right timing,

Since we already back with GCQ setup is there any  possiblities that it will also be adjusted? maybe much lighter settings though anything still possible as the virus still ain't clear and the chance to infect players and those who works around them are still prone.

Waiting for the final announcement and what would be the best options for the league begin with.
Yup, they're also going to have theirs too. The announcement from other teams hasn't been said but for sure most of them got already their plan and if they're already on their respective training places and courts, they're going to have it announced or much better if they don't so that the fans won't come and see them and make everyone in safety to avoid closure and contacts from unauthorized people inside their training camps. About the adjustments, we have to wait no matter what will be the announcement soon, it will come and we just have to be more patient and they'll come right then.

They have already announced that PBA will start by June this year, some teams are already starting their training, that's already an obvious sign that PBA will start soon.  Be optimistic guys, the situation is not bad now, we are back in GCQ and we will certainly see the PBA soon.

Remember that this season is going to be exciting, there's a lot of movement prior to this season and I'm sure you are excited to see which teams are successful with their decision.

This is a good sign on PBA as they will back again in business. I'm against bubble setup as some players can't give their 100% performance on every game affecting our future bets but if there's no choice, then no choice for me too but to adjust. Don't want to see some teams again not taking seriously the competition like Coach Yeng Guiao did last season although I understand him on that part.
They really are going to come back and some teams are already going out of town for their very own training sites. I don't see that the bubble becomes a hindrance for the players to give their 100%. There's no option that they have to choose if they cannot give their 100% on it. Because if they love playing and it's their career, they should be happy and grateful that there's already a setup that's going to make them back again in action. It's not the leagues problem or the fans problem if they cannot put their 100% just because of the setup.

Practically right! it's their obligations to bring it up and showcase their talents in whatever set up the league provided to them, players are in need to bring back that talents to their fans who keeps on supporting them.

I don't see any problem aside from more games during the bubble set up, but with the game itself, players should be more responsible.

They owe the money from the owners and fans, better to bring back the favor by showing their best as always..

I think his journey in the PBA is quite successful already.

He started playing in the year 2006, so that's 15 years in PBA and he also won 4 championships in his career.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay-R_Reyes

The old guys are leaving to give that opportunity to the young guns, hopefully, this will open a slot for the young players.

All of his success is within the SMB team only, he is lucky that he has played in a good team with JMF being the consistent MVP. He is not a starter but with his experience, he was able to help the SMB to win, without a supporting player like him, a team would not succeed so he is also a big part. At age 36 and in the tough situation where we are at now, maybe he realizes that it's time to retire and focus on his life after PBA.

He got lots of injuries and he's speed is no longer there, I like him as one of those supporting
cast who can give quality minutes while JMF is resting.

Giving enough time he also produce good numbers, same with Yancee De Ocampo they gave Fajardo enough rest as they are
both good back up when SMB needed them.

Time for Reyes to step out since there are many new kids who can substitute for him, younger that can move more faster than him.

By the way, here's the result of the poll so far.

Quote
What team will win the PBA 2021 All Filipino Conference?
1. Barangay Ginebra - 4
2. SMB -1

I'm the one who voted for SMB hehe. I'm a Fajardo believer, if he will come back healthy for sure SMB will give other teams a hell of a fight before they won that championship trophy. CJ Perez will just be another guy and point production from him is not much needed as he will slide to a role player, not a go to guy anymore as they have Junemar.
I'm a SMB fan but I voted for Ginebra on the poll and now I felt regret on voting to them Cheesy JK.

The addition of Perez into their roster is really big knowing that they only traded some bench players and James Laput (what they got in the last draft which is a part of the trade deal) and TBH, they don't need Laput since they got JMF and Mo already but TerraFirma needs him.

If Fajardo will come back this season 100% healthy then we will see a big rivalry between these sister teams (BGSM and SMB). Perez will be a role player for now but he will be the face of the team in the future when Ross, Lassiter or Cabagnot chooses to be a bench player few years for now. I believe that him and Romeo will be the one who will carry the team alongside JMF.

I will not vote, for now, I will wait until it's confirmed that Fajardo will play, then I will vote for the SMB, if he will not play or not 100%, then I would certainly root for the Ginebra to win a championship. Having C Stand and Aguilar in the inside, this team will be very dominant.

I can already see their success, and I'm so excited for the season to start.

meanwhile, another player has retired from his PBA career.

But on my end I prepare some balance since I want to bet on certain teams which currently have a great advantage to win since they have strong roosters.
Good luck mate, hopefully, we will have a profitable season. I enjoyed watching PBA more than watching NBA, I love to support what's our and ever since I was a kid I'm already a fan of PBA but I just don't have the opportunity to bet that time, now, it's very easy to bet so I won't waste this opportunity.

Yeah right, once the league get started we would see bookies will add this event and it will be more easier for us bettors to place our bets.

It's more on the side that we are capable to analyze which teams are more better than their opponents, knowing the league more deeper, what I mean is knowing the team and how they taking the advantage.

Waiting and exited to start with who's going to excel this season. Best of Luck Guys!

There's no other popular sports league in the Philippines, so we have no choice but to like the PBA. Maybe I'm not as old as you. lol.. but I've been loving the PBA, I love it, even more, when I learn how to bet on it, and good thing that we have a thread here where we can see daily updates even PBA season has not commenced yet.
