Campaign Management?"Hhampuz" is the Man

There's not specific date yet, but I believe it will be soon.
Yes, no specific date yet but the way the development is going, it looks like it could happen anytime soon, if not this month it will probably be next month. They are working on it, we can expect a positive result from their effort. The first step, get a go signal from IATF, then everything will follow.

After that go signal that they are really working on, next news might be the finalization of the date.  So far we are all waiting for the this approval,

might be next month or if they'll get it earlier this month might also possible to push it and announce the earliest that they can, but in the positive side
they are working on it making sure that they'll really want to make it happen.

Better than nothing, unless you'll okay with other league that have controversial issues..

PBA reminds everyone to follow safety protocols in bid to finally launch season

Quote
THE PBA has launched a social media campaign called #PBAItuloyAngLaban in an effort to help the government in its fight against COVID-19.

Commissioner Willie Marcial said the campaign aims to create awareness that the fight against COVID-19 is not yet over and encourage the public to practice safety protocols to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.

“Inilunsad natin ang #PBAItuloyAngLaban upang bigyan diin ang kahalagahan ng pagsunod nating lahat sa mga safety protocols na ipinatutupad ng gobyerno. Ito lang ang paraan upang mapababa natin ang pagkalat ng coronavirus,” said Marcial.

It's very important as one mistake could result to the stoppage of the season, we are in pandemic now and we want the PBA to launch, that's why players should be responsible here and think of the league rather than their personal interest.

There's not specific date yet, but I believe it will be soon.

There's no argument that coach Austria really did a very good job on towing SMB to a record 6 consecutive AFC title and we have to give credit for that but i'm also imagining what if it is coach Tim Cone that handle the career of Junemar. I remember him saying that he love to coach JMF and even introduced the gentle giant to the Dallas Mavs scout to see if he have the potential to play in the NBA. Like i've said, one or two grand slams for SMB if coach Tim did the coaching job of SMB, just my thought  Smiley.

Both are good coach, but IMO, coach Tim is the better coach here since every team he handles, he always give success. AFAIR, he handles, Alaska, Magnolia and now Ginebra, he won a championship in that teams.

If only coach Tim Cone have taken the job of Austria, SMB might have two grand slams with this current roster.

I remember the talks before that whoever coaches the SMB will win the championship no matter what as long as JuneMar Fajardo is on the lineup.

Yup, I also remember that and many have coached SMB before coach Austria but they failed to impressed the management as they have not or won only one championship. Ato Agustin, Coach Racela and coach Gee Abanilla have not fully utilized Junemar's talent. It is only coach Austria who saw the potentials of the young JMF as he was the latter's coach during his sting in the ABL.

A big slap for Coach Austria's long tenure as a head coach but if we will look deeper, Coach Austria did a great job to blend the chemistry of his players. It's difficult to handle several good role players at the same time and how he will allocate playing time at those. Maybe during his early period as an SMB head coach, he's doing some adjustment but today, it's no secret that his players are respecting him as a good coach as they are together thru ups and down.

The majority of fans knew this fact. SMB is always one of the contenders for the finals and there's no doubt that this season, they can be part of it again.
Just a trivia, do you know guys that Junemar likes to play Dota 2?  Grin

For me, Ginebra so far has the best roster in terms of All-Filipino. Second, is TNT and third is Meralco.
Agree with this, but TNT and Meralco, I guess even without Fajardo, SMB could still match them.
I have to agree on this one Ginebra already prove a lot but we have to accept the competition is getting better and i have rooting for SMB for this season even without Fajardo because they also have a great player so my three team would be Ginebra, SMB and Meralco, can't wait for the upcoming bubble season.

I just don't like the fact that they are very dependent on JMF. I'm an SMB fan for a long time and criticizing them isn't a wrong idea. Depending too much on JMF is like LeBron on Cavs where he is carrying the whole team. I think that they need to adjust at least regarding this that they don't rely too much on JMF.

Not possible now for SMB to compete strongly in All-Filipino if no JuneMar Fajardo. If you remember when Alaska and SMB met in the Finals where the first able to take the 3-0 lead, that was an SMB without Fajardo as he was injured in the semis. When Fajardo back, they come back from a 0-3 deficit and won a championship. That was an SMB that still has prime players. Today, SMB prime players are now veteran and aging. CJ Perez is still not ripe to carry the team.

For me, Ginebra so far has the best roster in terms of All-Filipino. Second, is TNT and third is Meralco.
Yeah I still remember that and that one will be written in history as the first team to overcome a 0-3 deficit to win a championship. Even NBA can't make that thing to happen.
That is the effect of JMF. He can carry the team when he is healthy but when he is out, it looks like the team is an average ranked team. We know that their star players are aging already that is why they are slowly acquiring some young and talented players to be the new face of the team. Perez and Romeo will be the 2 of them and more in the future.

I agree with Ginebra being the best roster right now All-Filipino. Just imagine how strong they are even without CStand and now that they got him, how can other teams defeat them Cheesy. Maybe if they have a bad night only then that is the time that they lose. Also add their very expert coach in Tim Cone. They are a strong team right now and maybe, only maybe that they can do what SMB did on All-Filipino Cup too (6 straight All-Filipino Championship) Cheesy.

On papers, Ginebra is second to SMB who have the best roster in the PBA at the moment but what makes Ginebra a very strong contender to the championship in the All-Filipino Cup is their coach. Coach Tim Cone is a very brilliant coach and he knows very well how to use properly the strength of his players. With the addition of CStand to their line-up, Ginebra's chance of getting the AFC trophy gone up even with Fajardo's comeback with SMB.

If only coach Tim Cone have taken the job of Austria, SMB might have two grand slams with this current roster.

I guess it was already announced that Fajardo will be coming back this season, it's just that he might not play at the opening or in the early part as he is still not 100%, but he will come back. SMB will still be the favorite with him, without him, then that would be another story.

Marcial, Batangas City top execs discuss protocols

The fact that Marcial is now having conversations and discussions about the protocols on the supposed venues, meaning their recent meeting with the IATF was quite a success.

If we will analyze it (just my own view), IATF maybe ask them to finalize first the venue (approved by the Mayor or executives on the location) and protocols before giving them a go signal. At that meeting, there is no final plan yet on the venue.

Well then, I think it's now positive to see the PBA opening this year.
Yeah, that's a hint that they're successful with the favor that they've asked to IATF. And with the news of daily active cases, they're even more on the favoring side because it's dropping but still too early to celebrate.
I hope that there's only one venue and it's like a bubble setup again to avoid further issues which are normal in our country when favor was given away.

That's good news, maybe the speculation of some here that they will open by next month will come true. Plenty of times to iron things out, start training this month once everything is approved then officially start the season next month, I guess that's a great plan.

Yeah right, with that information it's more on the positive side, Marcial are pushing things up and for the fans who are waiting
this news are really exciting,

PBA are on the stage where everything will are on th finalizing stage, the league will open maybe weeks or months the whole idea will be share.

Coming to that also the dates once finalizations are already done. Looking forward!

He might not be the all-star player in SMB but in the future he will be when he stays here. We know that 4 of the 5 starting players of SMB are already at their 30's and they need a young athletic player like Perez just to carry the legacy Cheesy. I believe that he will play good in SMB.
Perez could carry this team if they'll allow that, however, this SMB will always be full of superstars and that will make them always a championship contender. Fajardo is still the main key to their success as obviously without him they are not having success in the Finals, so despite of this, it still depends on the health of June Mar Fajardo.
When the current superstars of SMB will be retiring which will happen few years for now, Perez, Romeo, Fajardo and other players will be the new face of the team. Now I'm thinking that they might become the big three of SMB in the future Cheesy.

You'll never know if there are fans that are not happy with such progress and has the audacity to complain even if the situation is very visible.
Yes, whatever the decision is, we'll support them and the important news is we're going to see the upcoming season with no stops.
It will not only stop if there's a vaccine already, and hopefully, PBA will be given a special treatment so they will be able to acquire the vaccine without delay. It's been almost over a month from the supposed start of the season which was in April, but here we are, we are still waiting so hopefully by next month there's no more problem anymore.
It's been mentioned in the talks for sure and they'll be part of the priority. I saw some news that some big private corporations have already been given permission to purchase on their own. I wasn't sure if that's already legitimate news but I saw it on socials.
And that gives an idea that PBA will be given that consideration and favor that we need.

PBA franchise are big companies so if there's some information about this the chance that the league will grab that opportunities to make sure that the game will proceed probably next month if everything will ends smoothly regarding to this vaccines.

After they'll inject this vaccines to all the concern people around this league, the target dates will be more clearer.

We might expect more good news to come hopefully the exact date will be announced.
We have to wait and that's okay to wait because they will basically be going to announce it as soon as possible once dates have been cleared to them by the IATF.
The important thing is that they're able to talk to some of its representatives which shall be sending their concern to their other IATF members.

It's possible, no doubt about this.

Fernandez believes current SMB team should've won two, three grand slams by now

However, I believe it also depends on the health of June Mar Fajardo, if he is not healthy, SMB is just an ordinary team that any team has a chance of beating them, it's always been June Mar who is the key to their success.
Fajardo is a key player of SMB and without him, it will be hard for them to win a championship. Though every team are working hard to place on top, so there’s still no assurance for SMB to win a title even if Fajardo goes back on court. With regards to Fajardo, he’s still young and if he recovers I’m sure he’ll be more stronger.

There's no assurance but they have a higher chance of winning, but the condition is, Fajardo should be healthy and fully playing like a normal Fajardo. His injury keeps him sideline for long, and we don't know yet if he is still aggressive as he was before, so let's just hope for the best.

Yes, I agree that there's no assurance, but, don't forget guys that SMB now have Perez which I believe the scoring champ, and he will certainly do well with the SMB as he has better teammates compared to his previous team. I still think that they will win a championship though it's not easy this time.

If Perez could blend well with the team, they might improve.

He also has to remember that he is not only the star in this team, he maybe is the lone star in this previous team but SMB has a lot of star players, all the starters are star players and even some of the reserves. We haven't witness yet so let's see how SMB would play in the season to come.
I believe that Perez will fit into the team full of superstars.

When he is on TerraFirma, he is the star player of the team but now he is on a different team and take note a star-studded team in SMB he will make big adjustment as a bench player. I remember Terrence Romeo back in the days when he is on TNT and GlobalPort (now NorthPort), he is the scorer on GlobalPort but it changed when he went to TNT and totally changed when he went into SMB where he is now a bench. He blended with the team perfectly and I know that Perez will be too. The management managed to change Romeo just to fit in their team so I believe that he will too Smiley.

He might not be the all-star player in SMB but in the future he will be when he stays here. We know that 4 of the 5 starting players of SMB are already at their 30's and they need a young athletic player like Perez just to carry the legacy Cheesy. I believe that he will play good in SMB.
