Is it confirm that Rey Parks will not play?

If he will play or not, still a risk to bet for TNT Moneyline (but I see TNT can still handle the BGSM even without Parks).

A calf strain injury needs at least 3 days rest or the longer much better. I believed TNT will rest him to fully prepared for Game 3 instead.

But for TNT fans, should be no such thing as Parks won't play and will just place their bets. Smiley

Parks injury won't change Ginebra preparation for Game 2, says Cone

They are still gonna play hard knowing Ginebra. No Park maybe in this game as the odds is slowly sliding in favor of the Ginebra, but there's a little movement only so I think TNT still has a good chance here despite park not playing.

As a fan, we just speculate, watch and enjoy the game, and you know I hope for Ginebra to win, and I'm a bit bias.

Confirmed, Ray Park did not play but TNT is on the lead right now, they had a very comfortable lead at 12 points, I think you guys are correct that Pogoy will get more touches of the ball and he is really playing well.

TNT once lead by 15 but it's tie now going into the fourth quarter, Ginebra's second stringer just heating up.

I hope TNT could sustain and Pogoy will once again catches fire in the final canto. Seems to me that Pogoy is making a statement here that they could win even without Parks  Grin.

what adjustment will TNT
brings coming this game 2, they need to keep close as BGSM will not lose every opportunities to win the title.
We don't know but I'm sure they are prepared for the match later. Have you guys placed your bets already? is this going to be the usual exchange of win and lose?
Game 1 win, game 2 lose and so on and so fort. What do you think?

Knowing PBA for sure exchanging of wins will be the result and I expect the game to reach at game 7 since it's a million peso business to them. Remember the bubble take long month to take place so provably they will take the chance to get more money from it.

But I'm placing my bets this time to Ginebra since their rooster is solid.

Good luck on your bet, if TNT wins in game 2, then I think your speculation is correct, they are the underdog now unlike in game 1 where they are the favorites, but it doesn't matter anyway, they played a very competitive game in game 1, and the game even went into OT.

That was two straight 3 point shots by Washington then Castro made one of his own, but fellas, Ginebra doesn't give up, that's their brand.
Jay Wash was on fire and if it's not for him, they wouldn't make those leads but sadly, it went through overtime. It's always on the overtime when a team losses their momentum and TNT just lost theirs.
The game's for Ginebra, moving forward for game 2 on Wednesday.

Ginebra deserves that win anyway. Without those three 3's coming from J.Washington and Castro, the game should've been over. Ginebra out rebounded the TNT guys by a big margin. How do you win games when your opponent are taking a lot of second chance opportunity grabbing almost every offensive rebounds.
That's a good game anyway, too bad Parks were hurting the whole 4th quarter including the OT.
They do and there's no question with their win. They've done and played well after all of those constant threes by Jay Wash and one help from Castro, well, that's a damn sure win for them as we're watching the match.
But, I guess it's not really for them and Ginebra's never say die attitude has always been applied. That OT really pulled them down and raised Ginebra.

Ginebra played as a team coming that overtime, they shared the ball perfectly and they continue doing it right also with their defense, they battled the ball and out rebound both offensive and defensive. Aguilar named as the best player of that game, he deserve as  well, he's always in the right place receiving those good feeds from his teammates.

Experienced comes up as he's advantage against Erram who also played well but not that consistent, what adjustment will TNT

Park was just forcing himself to play in game 1, I thought it was not serious, but if he will not play in game 2, I think TNT will struggle as he is the leading scorer of the team. I'd like to take advantage on this news by betting on Ginebra in game 2 but the line is not yet out.

Exactly, he was limping and yet he still force himself to play because he wants to win, it's just a mistake that they allow the Ginebra to force an OT and TNT seems to be tired in the OT due to their lack of defense and their shots aren't falling.

TNT needs some attacker because they can't just solely rely on 3 points which is not a high percentage shot, and they have to put a body on Japeth, he was killing the TNT's big man.

They only have Castro and Ray Parks who are consistently doing that, without Ray Parks in game 2, it will be a big loss for the TNT who need a win to even the series. I don't think TNT would win in the series if they will loss game 2, I mean it's only based on probability, but Ginebra does not left any opportunity slip away.

I'm wondering what's the betting odds for game 2.

That might be a good thing for the Katropa if Ray Parks won't play in game 2 because Rosario and Pogoy will got more touches with the ball and this might help Rosario get his confidence back  Smiley.
Agree with that, I hope he will not play so TNT would be able to even the series, lol.
Rosario has changed, I mean his production is not as good as it was before, I barely see him with double figures anymore.

Was it because of the rotation only?

Kidding aside, yeah the Katropa will be in a deep hole if ever they lose game 2 as who got a 2-0 advantage usually wins the series, just don't know the statistics of that one.
So they need to even the series, I'm excited to see the betting lines for game 2 but it's still not out yet.

What took them so long here?

You are right, Parks really helps TNT about offense and rebounds, He had the size and the skills to deliver, without him someone needs to step up, guys like Pogoy and Rosario needs to help and shows their lifting capabilities.

Castro can't do it alone, Ginebra squad are ready for him each time he attempts to lift the team up.

It's worth to take the risk for Ginebra's handicap once the odds shows up, as without Parks there a big dot that TNT needs
to fill up.

We may see a see-saw affair here but with the news of that Park injury I think we should put our bet for Ginebra this game 2 if the odds is attractive.

Yay, it was in the news that he is doubtful in game 2.

Ray Parks doubtful for Game 2 of TNT-Ginebra finals due to calf injury

Quote
SMART CLARK GIGA CITY – High-scoring TnT guard Ray Parks went down with a left calf strain and could likely miss Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals against Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old guard aggravated the injury he initially suffered early in the bubble season during the opener of the best-of-seven title series which the Kings won in overtime, 100-94 on Sunday night.

Park was just forcing himself to play in game 1, I thought it was not serious, but if he will not play in game 2, I think TNT will struggle as he is the leading scorer of the team. I'd like to take advantage on this news by betting on Ginebra in game 2 but the line is not yet out.

No doubt that Washington was lucky however Tolentino was luckier. Oops Cheesy! I thought that TNT will won already, thanks to Castro's tear drop shot miss. Ginebra extend the match and won.

It was a close match so we can really say that this series will not end by a domination. Ginebra should not be complacent, they must keep the hustle. Congrats to all Kabaranggays and winning bettors.

Turn off the television because I thought that TNT already won that one but when I woke up, I was greeted by the news that Ginebra won that OT game. Ohh boy, that was a heart breaker, lol. Never say die strikes again. Yup, you are correct, this series would be a chess match and I think coach Tim will win this one.

Why did you turn off the television man? You don't deserve to be a fan of the Ginebra because you don't have the mentality of never say die..  Grin Grin Grin
~
I think he turned off their television because he's a fan of TNT and he was confident that TNT would already win. That's just based on my understanding though. Grin

Anyway, that was a great match and I'm just glad Ginebra won. It's just the first game but they already did their best for making the match a close one. But as a NSD fan, I don't want to be too confident. The ball is round and it's just Game 1. TNT will surely have their revenge. We'll see about that on the next game.

Your guess is wrong mate  Smiley, I'm an avid fan of Mark The Spark. Who would have thought that they would win that one win, Parks is a very good free-throw shooter but glad he missed one.

We may see a see-saw affair here but with the news of that Park injury I think we should put our bet for Ginebra this game 2 if the odds is attractive.

Admit it, maybe OP should put a poll in this thread regarding the PBA Finals.  Smiley

Speaking about Parks, he's a monster but the important FT that he missed will send them the win, if he didn't miss that bonus FT the game should not send to OT. He played well but luck belongs to BGSM. Playing as a team works well with Tenyente Tenorio, look how matured he is when he's needed to bring something for the team, He and Coach Tim understand well the value of moving the ball.

Pringle and Aguilar shared doing well with scoring while Thompson and Tenorio works well with lifting everyone to keep playing positively, and adding to that are those rookies the new rising faces of Ginebra. Grats BGSM Fans!
