That was two straight 3 point shots by Washington then Castro made one of his own, but fellas, Ginebra doesn't give up, that's their brand.
Jay Wash was on fire and if it's not for him, they wouldn't make those leads but sadly, it went through overtime. It's always on the overtime when a team losses their momentum and TNT just lost theirs.
The game's for Ginebra, moving forward for game 2 on Wednesday.

Ginebra deserves that win anyway. Without those three 3's coming from J.Washington and Castro, the game should've been over. Ginebra out rebounded the TNT guys by a big margin. How do you win games when your opponent are taking a lot of second chance opportunity grabbing almost every offensive rebounds.
That's a good game anyway, too bad Parks were hurting the whole 4th quarter including the OT.

Breaks of the game just pointing to Ginebra and that's part of the game. That free throw by Parks could have sealed the game for them, i hope it won't haunt him in the next game.

TNT need to adjust and try to narrow that rebound gap if they want to make this series a long one. But i do believe that Castro, Pogoy and Rosario, the old reliables for the TNT will take over in game 2 and hope Parks will step aside  Smiley.

I really don't have news about PBA today since my province is still in recovery with the past super typhoon. But I saw it that TNT and Ginebra will be the finals rivalry. Its sad to say that my favourite team, SMB or Bolts did not enter in finals. Jay Washington is a great player since he was on Globalport Batang Pier. He can block shots coming from big men of Ginebra. I hope TNT will win the series but it seems that GSM is on fire. They always win in overtime because GSM can handle overtime rounds smoothly by the help of coach tim cone.

No doubt that Washington was lucky however Tolentino was luckier. Oops Cheesy! I thought that TNT will won already, thanks to Castro's tear drop shot miss. Ginebra extend the match and won.

It was a close match so we can really say that this series will not end by a domination. Ginebra should not be complacent, they must keep the hustle. Congrats to all Kabaranggays and winning bettors.
It was a close match indeed, I'm enjoying the game and I like that the team I root with is already in the lead in the series with 1-0 score.
Anyway, this is just game 1, there's still plenty of games, I expect that TNT will be more aggressive in game 2 and correct their mistakes.

Turn off the television because I thought that TNT already won that one but when I woke up, I was greeted by the news that Ginebra won that OT game. Ohh boy, that was a heart breaker, lol. Never say die strikes again. Yup, you are correct, this series would be a chess match and I think coach Tim will win this one.

Why did you turn off the television man? You don't deserve to be a fan of the Ginebra because you don't have the mentality of never say die..  Grin Grin Grin
Kidding aside, well, impressive win by the Ginebra, Tim cone done a well initiated play to make stan a decoy and let the Rookie do the score.

All in all, it was a great performance by the team but it was really L.A. the one who made this team better, the ball should in his hands always, he is so unpredictable.

ps. if PARKS shoot all 2 FT, things could be different.

Nice game, we have an overtime.  (92-92)

The rookie Tolentino save the Ginebra and help them bring the game into OT.
Now, fresh 5 minutes for this game and the fun continues tonight.

This is really a good match up, it's an even one.

Edit : GINEBRA TAKE GAME !. 100-94 Final Score

The game has started already, it's a close game thus far, well, it's just in the first quarter so there's not much of excitement to witness here.
I'm gonna relax and watch this game live soon, I just have to do some things before I sit on my chair with a beer in my hand.

of course, we that said, I like my Ginebra SMB to win.

~

Until the game is over, we can't conclude. I have a series bet and I'm with the TNT to win, but Ginebra is not an easy team to bet, even if TNT will win in tonight's game, it's just 1 game, they still need to win 3 to win the championship which I think Ginebra would not allow an easy win.
Yep, definitely. Ginebra will surely give a good fight especially that this is the finals. During the first part of the game, they were a little behind by few points but this 3rd quarter, they're now ahead by 5 points (45-50). May the best team win. Good luck everyone.

BGSM is not showing good defense, there are lots of miscommunications. Too early but if they won't adjust TNT may take that advantage.
Still close game, first time out and seems that  BGSM needs to talk and work it out.

For BGSM fans live bets are good to place your pick, @ 2.40 not bad to take the risk if you believe that they can handle TNT, very decent if you win it out.

Enjoy watching, very close as both teams are really aiming to take this first game advantage.

Only 2 hours and 42 minutes left before the game will start.

Game starts at 6:00 pm, but I think due to an introduction, this will not start right away, so you can still place your bet.
I like the odds, it's been changing a bit but now it only settle at 1.88(TNT)-1,89(GIN)

Problem with PBA is we don't have a timely update of player's injury status, unlike in NBA where we have a site to monitor the players status.

TROY Rosario has not been a factor so far in the playoffs, but maybe only against the Phoenix but hopefully he can still come back to help the TNT against a physical Ginebra Team. Also, Poy Erram has to step up his game, he also needs to be physical inside to battle with the big man of Ginebra, if he is soft, they'll lose.

I have also noticed that one, they don't update player's injury from time to time and we were just surprised to see them not playing which really affect the game.

Poy Erram have to step up if he want to be known as a legit big man in the PBA, for now "buhok lang malakas sa kanya".  Grin

haha.. that's too harsh mate.

Well, honestly speaking, his rule as a big man does not fit when their opponent's defense is good, just like the Ginebra Kings.
Poy Erram is tall but his body is soft,  but let's give him a chance to prove, we have game 1 today and see if he can prove us wrong.

You got it right mate, soft is the right term for Poy Erram. I remember that he was being scolded by Coach Yeng Guiao when he was with NLEX for being too soft that he can be pushed around by opponent's big man. He said that he will take it as a challenge but ever since I could not see any improvement on his game on being the man in the middle for the Katropa.

Yeah, I understand the sentiments about Poy, he can't attack good whenever his in front of a strong big man from other teams, but still I trust his outside shootings, if he can't score under the ring, I'm sure he can from behind the arc. And If he lacks in offense, I hope he should work harder in his defense. Let's see, he's a Gilas man after all.

I love to see you guys participate in betting because I will too, since there's no series betting on gambling sites and the series will start on Sunday, I guess we should make start posting here now.

I'm for Ginebra as well. 0.005 btc. "CALL ME!" lol....

0.005 BTC for you mate, please confirm if is a deal.

It's a deal.

The current betting odds is 1.98 TNT KaTropa vs 1.80 Brgy Ginebra, I think it's a fair series.

Thanks for confirming.

This is an even series and it shows on the betting odds. Hope this would end in game 7 for the pleasure of the PBA fans like us.

Just wonder though on what's the update on that Rosario injury, he was limping back to the bench on game 5, i hope he is okay.
