So, we see the difference, and if SMB could afford this kind of quality players, how can a converge them would be able to compete with them.

People may criticize SMB for not following the salary cap ( if there's any), but we can always criticize theses so called farm teams for not being able to come up with a required budget to pay based on standard salary.

As if we don't know what's happening within the PBA. If we are looking for a league that is fair then that should not be the PBA. Some of the players have criticized the way it was manage. I mean, why get a team to be part of the league if they aren't competiting anymore. I would understand that a team would struggle as that's normal, even Ginebra have struggled before they sign coach Tim, but these teams like DYIP or KIA and Blackwater has always been struggling, season after season like there's no improvement at all, they even get worst, and now there's converge which was suppose to be a good team since the players were alaska players that was bought by converge.

Phoenix coach Jamike Jarin signed to a three-year contract extension

Good for him, his team had an impressive run last governor's cup, they reach the Semi Finals and their import won an award on that. But we can't deny that he is really a good coach as although his team is lack of experience but they were able to give Magnolia a real challenge, it's just unfortunate that they fail to reach the finals, however, reaching that far is already big.

I agree to that, if what's happening right now can give some chance for quality players to demands their salaries and the team and the league will see the possibilities that it will help the league in terms of fans attendance, I mean if the team will adjust to what players are asking and not just these two giant companies but all the teams that inside pba will also be included, there's a big chance that competition will be on another higher level, which what the fans wants and not just a single team like ginebra who can bring fans interest.

It will be back from how the fans supported their idols and will be willing to pay for the tickets and cheer for their teams, I missed those years when it's not just ginebra but also Alaska , Shell, Purefoods and Sta Lucia teams that really bring the level of excitement for each fans who loves this support .

It seems that you're right that TNT is dying hard to take him but most of us are telling that they shouldn't take him anymore and just move on and leave him if there are any other takers of his own set price. There is no more salary cap on the PBA because most of them have their own demands and great salary offer that has been maxed out and even more than the suggested price and cap of the league. If there is a B League offer for him, he should take that away quickly.

Aside from setting his own value which I think is just fair. However, I agree with @blockman here that he should humble himself as reportedly he had some problem with his coach before not showing respect, like coming to the practice late, etc.. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated, yes, he has a talent but basketball is not about one person, it's a team effort and therefore chemistry should be created effectively from players, coachhes and staff so they are in one page while on the court, on and off. Or maybe this is just a rumor now as there's been no official statement yet whethere TNT really wants to sign him again.

I agree with the post above that Converge being competitive can only be seen in import conferences (Governors & Commissioners). Their previous hired imports in the history of the franchise were solid and caliber imports such as Tom Vodanovich, Jamaal Franklin, and Quincy Miller.

That's what I like about the whole PBA Converge team from executives, managers, staff, etc. that they don't want to give baby treatment to anyone. If they think the player is not happy with them despite that they can match good offers from other teams, they will let go of that player. As for Coach Ayo, he also has the guts to tell their imports to always try to associate with the locals like what he did to Jamaal Franklin that known for ball hogging.

It always comes with a price, and I think coverge could not afford quality players that's why they are just keeping the players that are still in contract, but when they also become free agent too, they could leave and play with SMB, Ginebra or TNT, and will become worst for Converge. If they like to be competitive, they should consider giving offers that are hard to resist, I don't know the exact figures we are talking but that was the rumors I read.

Ahamnissi and Teng probably want a championship, but the price is right, they might stay. Or maybe if they are really serious, they could get a quality player like Mikey Williams, this guy has a big demand but could help a team to improve.

Magnolia is known to have a tough defense especially when they are up, Converge is unmatched with Magnolia's experienced and like what you said, there's no system in terms of defense that Converge shows from this game, they just try to exchange scores but they are unfortune compared with Magnolia who still carrying their pride after being short winning the last conference title.

Magnolia with the same system and same executions, they are tough both defense and offense with very familiar blends of players inside the court they can simply execute and it's going to be smooth and seems like easy for each players who's playing inside the court.

2nd game is Magnolia vs Converge, if I'm not mistaken, this is the first game of Magnolia this season, so coming from a long rest, they should dominate the winless converge (so far).

Big run by the DYIP to come back and win. Juami Tiongson's dagger gave his team a game winner where they won by 1 point only. There's a lot of comeback victory so far, good for bettors as this would provide a very attractive odds.

However, can it happen again in the current game, the last game?

59-73, Magnolia is up by 14 points, IIRC, the spread was around -15.5... so just a little push, they'll cover it.

It was different compared to the first game as Converge were not able to come back. So far, we had witness the biggest win this season.

106-75... a 31 point victory, Magnolia just trying to prove that they are ready for the championship once again. Their first win and Converge losing streak continues to 5. 52% overall FG percentage, too high, it clearly shows that Coverge doesn't play defense, no wonder they are at the bottom now.
