Gin Kings resident and already a franchise import, Justin Brownlee will play for the Indonesia Basketball League.

Don't worry Brgy. Ginebra fans, Brownlee is still the resident import for the team. Since PBA is currently in the Philippine Cup, Coach Tim allows Brownlee to play for other leagues. According also to Coach Tim, Brownlee will back to Ginebra in the next import conference in June.

https://www.rappler.com/sports/tim-cone-wishes-justin-brownlee-well-indonesian-basketball-league/

Also read this article, the sole purpose of Justin Brownlee playing for the Indonesian league is for him to keep fit as the import-back conference of the PBA is still far away, shake off the rust as they say.
But his heart belonged to the Philippines since he is a naturalized import. In fact, he is the most consistent import in the Philippines as we have naturalized players before but they are not consistently playing with the NBA conferences where imports area allowed.

He will be back soon, and yes he needs to keep himself fit and at the same time will earn decent money as I'm pretty sure the offer is good knowing how good he is and had proven it already when he carried the PH in the asian games.

Speaking of Ginebra, they were upset by the Meralco Bolts last night. Chris Newsome and Allen Maliksi led the way for the Bolts, scoring 19 and 25 points respectively.

That was out of expectation, LOL.. Who would thought Ginebra losing that big? I mean, no disrespect to Meralco but this team has been struggling early on, so we got caught up by surprise and we loss our bets as well.

He was well defended, Meralco didn't allow him to get hot. 2-10 shooting, he got the lowest percentage in the team, so it's really a bad night for him.

Aside from that, the biggest issue was actually the Turnovers of Ginebra. They made 19 here while Meralco only has 6. Ginebra are not a high TO team, they are careful with handling the ball as they move the ball well with less dribbling, but in this game they mess up, so a loss is just not surprising at all. They had a bad game, let's just accept that way and Meralco had a good game. Though it was a dominant performance by Meralco but it's just a one point victory and Meralco have to proved by being consistent, especially Maliksi.

Bad night for the Gin kings as they've got so many turnovers and they are not playing the same intensity from their previous game, it's  normal as we all teams have that kind of a night, even how hard they'll try if there's a mistake with how they execute their plays expect that it will not result to the outcome that they plan ahead, just need to move forward and accept the result, there are many games to compete back and bounce from this lost.

Same deal with those Gin kings backers just need to forget about this lost and try to find another game to bet, analyze before placing another bet to try recovering the lost.

What happened to the Ginebra San Miguel? They were dominated by the Meralco bolts ... (91-73).  I'm pretty sure bettors loss money in this game, luckily for me I didn't think of betting on this game because I had a busy schedule today.
Yeah, that was a trap. After a big win by Ginebra, people would think on backing them against a struggling Meralco bolts, but the result was way too opposite since not only Meralco won but winning by 18 points, that's kind of unusual. I never expected this would happen, thought Ginebra is a legit team and would dominate this season, but this one happened. They badly need Thompson to bring some energy to the team.

Malonzo was hot on their first game but had only scored 4 points this game. And again, Maliksi lead the team with 25 points, when he scored like this, most likely the Bolts will get a win. It's a much needed win for them and they just get a big one against a strong team.

TNT seemed not moving on from Mikey Williams, they want him that's why his name has appear in the speculation again. They keep chasing him as they had already proven he is a good fit to the team ( based on what they achieved with him).

Unfortnately this guy wants to get paid big, it's his right to demand since he is a pro and he'll play according to the contract. it's not actually a big deal, TNT could just say yes or no, but since they counter, it means they are really desperate on getting him.

Yes, there are local players with talents as well, but TNT doesn't want them, they want a mixed breed  as it's more atheletic than pure Filipino. I'm sure we can noticed that most players that have dominated the PBA now are not pure blooded Filipino, only one I know who is full blooded that is dominating and that is our Abay JMF.
Yeah, it's his demand but if TNT won't obliged to pay him and there's no deal that will happen as TNT have kept their mouths shut after Williams negotiated for his 2nd rate after discussing things. Well, that's it and TNT is still a favorable team but they just have to scout out good players while many local players are being on the radar of getting traded, that's where they should focus their time and resources as they can get better and more loyal players to the franchise with that salary.

He's brought championship to TNT and that's why he's demanding. But if I am the management of TNT, I'd just let it go because if someone don't have that passion to play for the team despite being paid that much, he should know that even this is a professional league and career, budget might be a problem for the team although they've been there around for a long time. There could even bigger problems as you've said since the salary cap is bypassed if granted his request for a bigger cap.

Saying Mikey Williams brought a championship to TNT is not an appropriate description to say, at least for me.

When TNT won the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup, Williams might have been the Finals MVP there but the whole cast of TNT also contributed big. It just happened that Williams topped the scorecard but overall, he's not the one who brought TNT a championship back then. Can't say he brought the championship in that case.

When TNT won the 2023 PBA Governors Cup, the league couldn't give the MVP to the import that's why the locals are chosen. But on the whole series, it was their import Hollis-Jefferson as the main reason why TNT dominated the Brgy. Ginebra in the Finals.

Mikey Williams has had a bad attitude even before. Always late in the practice without being noticed, always asking for a max salary increase even way back in his rookie season because he claimed he was good (yes he's good but not professional). TNT can move forward without him not unless Mikey Williams itself will be humble in returning to the team.

I think this is the second time that Williams and the TNT have negotiated so I don't think that there will ever be third time even if he humbles himself. The problem with him is that, yes this is a livelihood to them but the opportunity that he's getting for that slot of his is being desired by the other players especially the local players that have talent and heart to play the game in the PBA. Well, TNT must just move and forget about him and ask some other players that are okay to be traded to land that slot for him.

It fits to chot's system so they are still pursuing to have him back even the kid have that attitude, he's promising as he got the same type of a skill set like Alapag and Castro, we know how chot  relied with these two stars and they are trying to duplicate that with Poguy and Williams combinations,  though I guess with his attitude it will be difficult for coach chot to develop him from how he wanted him him to be, not unless TNT will give him the money that he's asking but I doubt maybe he will accept it then demand for more after,  not sure what's the real score here but we just need to wait for more updates regarding to this negotiation that still ongoing for both Williams camp and TNT management.

About Mikey Williams new can not say that he is very demanding but as we can see how he played in the court sometimes we can say that  big money is for him cause once a company paid him then he will do his very best to carry his team of course by the help of his teammates. But the main point here is Mikey Williams is a very good player he can adjust the possible scenario in the game. And he is already proven when he show his best.

Some of the players nowadays are not fully blooded Filipino cause we all know that some of them are half Filipino. But it doesn't matter as long  they are in here, living  having their Filipino citizenship then that's good.

That was his first season with the TNT and they already won a championship. The description that "he brought championship" might be accurate since he was the best player that time, and winning a finals MVP is a proof to that. We can always hear that kind of words about the best player carrying the team but in reality basketball is a teamwork, so statement like that is quite normal, that only means he was the best palyer that time.

And to the attitude problem, I totally agree with that, but look what is happening now,, as per rumor, they are still pursuing him.....

So good luck to TNT.

At first I thought he was really gonna replace Castro as the best player of the TNT, but overtime he became inconsistent that his shots are not falling anymore. He become most confident in his outside shooting but sometimes he had some bad shooting night which would result to the team losing. But then I read the news that he does not show up in practice  or sometimes will come late, so I believe that it was really his unprofessionalism that made the team suffer because they trusted him to contribute big for the success of the team. Now, if TNT will again hire him, hopefully they'll not complain because it will make them look stupid.

I just noticed, it seems like this TN had some problem with their players.  If you still remember, the names Romeo and Ray Parks also have some problem with TNT.

He's no doubt needed by TNT but if negotiations won't do with both of them then TNT has to drop their interest on him and they should just go for any other available player that can play his role. He sure is fit with the TNT but if the budget won't fit what he's asking, there will be a lot of issues since this type of talks have been publicized already when the maximum salary cap isn't even half of what he's asking and this is another controversy for the PBA management why they are obviously allowing such under the table.
Better to let him go and  not pursue in any negotiations with him, there are  many things that TNT needs to explain about his demands if ever they'll managed to sign him back, it was publicly reported and with salary cap that each players can receive for sure it will bounce to the pba commissioner if they will allow this under the table negotiations,  I agree that he deserves the payment he's demanding but they placed that cap so better to follow the rules.

Though I doubt, if TNT will continue trying maybe they'll just come up with something to announce if ever Mikey will play for them again, we know how things works inside this league,  just need and wait on any progress that will be announced.

78-94, it's a 16 point victory.

They are back!

Hopefully they will carry that momentum on their next game. You can see how good their defense are to limit their opponent to 78 points only. This team reach the Semi Finals, for sure that experience was already huge as a factor for them to be more confident, and with this strong 4th quarter run is a resemblance to what they did during their series with the Magnolia Hotshots.

RR Garcia was probably the best player since he score 20 points, the leading scorer and it looks like he turned the clock back with his great performance.

Honestly, I'm surprised and impressed at the same time as I haven't seen him getting this kind of numbers anymore.

Yeah, they managed to reached the semis last season and they are now showing what they've got, after losing 2 games they are now adjusting and I like how you pointed out the defense that they've made, limiting their opponents especially in the 2nd half they just need to be consistent and just play the game with full confidence working along side of each other,  they've got a long season to compete and for sure lots of games to work and execute that right system to win a game.

Speaking of Garcia it was  way back from the time where him and Romeo was so hot,  it's been a long time just like you said to see him producing this numbers.

PBA have games today, 2 games to be exact.

The first game is over and NLEX again with a win. As usual, Bollick led the game on that win. And it's almost a triple double performance for him.

21 points
9 rebounds.
9 assists.

He is beginning to look like a really special player. I think if we want to see the TNT improve, they should have gotten Bollick as he is good at sharing the ball, making his teammates better and could really carry a team in a consistent basis.

He is playing inspired basketball since his baby will be out soon. And she has a lovely wife, I think he is a lucky man and he is happy with his marriage. NLEX now on a winning streak, just a great start of the season for Bollick, clearly we can see that he is an all around player. Meanwhile, Phoenix finally are in the win column, after 2 losing streak, they were able to win via blowout beating the DYIP. It was all tied in the 3rd but in the 4th quarter they have a big run. Great adjustment as they outscored the DYIP 30-14 in just the last quarter.

78-94, it's a 16 point victory.
