To be honest, I do not understand this closeness at all. If Qatar is interested in attracting as many football fans/tourists as possible, then they should show everywhere that everything is ready and lure potential visitors. Maybe the preparation for the World Cup is not so good and they hide it?

Very surprised by the discussion that has unfolded about what can be considered an alcoholic drink and what is not, hehe. Another confirmation of the fact that there is very little purely football news from Qatar.
Everyone is so excited about the world cup match - there is a lot discussion before even the teams have landed for the tournament.
Lots of excitement and lots of stuff to look at how will Qatar be dealing with the tournament and the guest and teams and non islamic culture

Yeah, it will definitely be interesting to see what's going to happen in Qatar, will they simply sell alcohol? That's what happened in Brazil, they changed a law that prevented selling alcohol inside the stadiums. Probably something similar will happen in Qatar.
I think Qatar will host the World Cup in the biggest way this year. They have made many new rules this time which some like and some don't like. As far as I can tell you have banned alcohol. New technology is being added to the ball of the game. In fact, we have to wait for a few more days to see how these things affect the World Cup in Qatar.

Argentina's team is very strong in this World Cup, the youngsters in their team are playing very well. Besides, they have world class players in their team. It seems that this is Messi's last World Cup and everyone will want to at least do something for Messi. However, there is nothing to look down on other teams. We are all waiting for the World Cup.
We have around two months in this event right now no one can predict about any team's strength or weakness because many things can happen in this period as we have European Soccer season any serious injury can bring down any team because these things can happen and no one have control on these just because of this right now mostly members are giving their roughly idea about this all.

If someone says surely this is going to happen then I have doubt about this because all 32 teams are surely had good quality just because of this these are coming in this event with their best players so better wait for final preparations from them and final squads which could give better idea because last decisions could be from coaches and relative authorities who are coming and how is he going to perform.

But Christian Ronaldo is not good enough to win this world cup alone for his team because now age factor is also having big impact on him, and he can't do things like which he has done few years back for his team right now if Portugal is going into last eight then surely it's going to be big achievement for them.

Let's see later what tactics and strategies Fernando Santos will use for his Portugal squad. and how he prepares for the Portuguese squad. if santos still uses the same strategy only relying on ronaldo, then i believe that portugal will experience difficulties in every match later.
Portugal actually has a fairly even depth of players, on the attack line there are Diago Jota, Andre Silva, Ronaldo. In the midfield there are Bernardo Silva, Vintinha, Rafael Leao, Bruno Fernandes. In defense there are Nuno Mendes, Pepe, Dalot, Danilo Pereira.  with these players, they should have a chance to get into the top 8.

Spain, France and England are surely best teams with their quality and players those can do something amazing to win this year's event.

Brazil, Argentina, are the best team based on their match statistics and have very talented players. these two teams are the strongest candidates, compared to England or Spain.

This world cup is going to be very competitive you know because we also need to look at Christian Ronaldo now that he's going to be leaving football soon, he would want to play to his strength even though Portugal did not reach the final but he would want to prove to us that he can make another record before leaving football.
Well looking at Spain and there passed history when it comes to world cup, I think this one is going to be interesting and tough for competing team that is going to play to them. I will relax and watch the outcome of this great Matches coming.
No doubt this is world cup, and it's going to be competitive because we have 32 world's best teams in this event and all are coming after having hard fought wins in their relative qualification matches, so it's not easy for anyone to have anything out of range all teams can do better than expectations specially few teams which are very tough and have services of quality players which are playmakers and can bring any result with their skills.

But Christian Ronaldo is not good enough to win this world cup alone for his team because now age factor is also having big impact on him, and he can't do things like which he has done few years back for his team right now if Portugal is going into last eight then surely it's going to be big achievement for them.

Ronaldo was at his peak 4 years ago at the World Cup in Russia, but it still wasn't enough for Portugal to come even close to a chance to fight for the title of world champion.
Ronaldo today is not even a shadow of that Ronaldo from 4 years ago and realistically Portugal is not one of the favorites of this world championship.
I think the situation is very similar with Argentina and Messi.
In my opinion, the main favorites of this world championship are Brazil and France, and Spain, Germany and England also have good chances.

You're missing Brazil and Argentina in that list, and also Germany. It's going to be a really tough world cup, there are so many excellent players and they're going to put all their effort to win the world cup

Ahead of the upcoming World Cup, Qatar government has partnered with David Beckham to promote stopover travel. David Beckham's visit to Qatar may be a program that can clear up some of the question marks about Qatar. This program does not solve all the question marks. But it can help us partially.
Honestly they do not even need this. Because if you spend enough money, football world will forget about what kind of inhumane things you have done. Remember, Newcastle is now owned by a person who cut a journalist into small pieces. I do not want to be dark here, but bad people can spend millions and even billions and be loved by the football world.

Qatar may have used some slavery to build the stadiums and maybe dozens of people died in the construction of this world cup stadiums as well, but since Qatar is willing to spend money and give comfort to westerners, that's not going to be an issue. All those drinks and booze and whatever deals are not even going to be a problem. Look at Saudi Arabia and formula 1, you will see how it works.
Well in this case there are some things that may be positive and negative because every thing that is done must have a purpose.
Qatar clearly does not want to expose the negative things that they experienced during the preparation of this event and one of their ways is by partnering with Beckham to keep the enthusiasm going.
But as for slavery here if this is really happening then there must be action but so far no one has spoken much about this.

but in fact we will not know what strategy luis enrique will use, and who will be the first starting line-up.
In my opinion, there is no time to experiment, the squads of other countries are quite ready to compete in the world cup tournament later.

this is not an easy job for luis enrique and however he must prepare his squad for the competition for the world cup trophy this time.
Nevertheless, I hope that at least Spain can qualify for the last 8 phase.

I think it's pretty certain that Spain will end up in the last 8, i would even go and say that they are probably going to be in the final, or at least the semi

I dream of the next world cup to be in the west of Africa. Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon and Senegal are places of interest to me. I hope they meet the minimum requirements and one day we will have the opportunity to watch a World Cup there.
A very good work done by Qatar authorities for having better understanding of their local rules and culture because programs like these and celebrates like David Beckham can do much better in current situation for country like Qatar which is going to host next world cup in November/December.

These activities are surely helpful for westerns peoples those are not aware about this country and their domestic rules, even it's not going to solve all problems but still good try from both ends.

A good dream from you but most chances it's not going to fulfill in coming few decades because these countries need some good work specially inner conflicts are the biggest enemies, and they are under many political and civilized problems which need very long time to settle and arrange events like these.

To be honest, if Luis Enrique can combine young strikers with the right formula, Spain's chances in this tournament are wide open to compete with a more favourite squad.
In my observations of the Spanish squad, Luis Enrique always places Dani Almo instead of playing Pablo Saraiba or Ferran Torres. IMO, Dani Almo's performance was not very good in some of his matches to strengthen the Spanish squad.
as for the ideal position in my personal opinion, the Spanish formation remains with 4-3-3 but the main players are Ansu Fati, Alvaro Morata, Marco Asensio.
I think the combination of young and experienced strikers will create a pretty sharp striker. as for ferran torres and pablo sarabia can be substitutes instead of placing dani almo.
Surely Luis Enrique needs to have changed his tactics in this World Cup because now he has too many options which can give their best in this event, and he can bring good results from this all but for this all he surely needs to do some experiments which give him better system for the combination of youths and experienced players.

And surely going with 4-3-3 is best for him and his team because with this he can add his best available option and this can give him better results in presence of Ansu Fati, Alvaro Morata and Pablo Sarabia. Sticking with just Dani Almo with his current performance is surely not going to be positive for Spain, as they can use many other quality options as well.

Do you consider beer a non-alcoholic drink? This is very strange, since those people who do not drink alcohol regularly (for example, I) can get very drunk from two glasses of beer. As for restrictions and reputation, I do not think that it will suffer - those who went to Qatar were aware of local rules in advance.
I'm interested in something else - is the preparation for the championship completely completed? I haven't seen (maybe missed) any news about it. There are 80 days left before start.
Things are not clear as they are increasing man power and doing their best for having one of the best tournament in recent times, but interesting media is not allowed at construction sides just because of this no updates are available what's going to on and how they are going to do in next 80 days.

With laws are surely stick about many things which are not acceptable for many peoples those are coming from Wester Countries as they will not give any permission for anything which is out of law specially alcohol is already announced not allow on roads and stadiums, but you can enjoy in hotels and rooms with few more things are until now no clear but FIFA officials are working with Qatar officials hopefully before thirty days of event they will give all updates and rules about this event because this is important for all parties those are going to visit to support their teams.

In my view Brazil has excellent players all around, even their worst players are extremely talented. It's rare to see a team like that. They also have superstars but the rest of the team is absolutely fantastic as well, so I would say that they will perform great even without the superstars.

Brazil maybe tough to beat even without Neymar. But the chances of an upset will definitely go up. And what I have noticed is that during the last few years, Brazil has maintained its quality, while those of some of the European countries have gone down. You guys may not notice this, because most of the time UEFA nations play amongst each other. And Brazil adjusts better if the matches are being held outside their continent. On the other hand, UEFA teams always struggle when the matches are held outside Europe.

Did you come to the conclusion that some European national teams started playing weaker based on some matches in the League of Nations this year?
Yes, it is true that some national teams, like France and England, played badly in the League of Nations, but it is not really a serious competition and coaches mostly try out new, young players, and the result is not the most important thing. Don't worry, all these national teams will be fully prepared for the World Cup in Qatar.
UEFA teams always struggle when the matches are held outside Europe? Are you sure about that? At the 2010 world championship in South Africa, Spain became the world champion, and in 2014 in Brazil, Germany became the world champion.

there is so much hype for the FIFA world world cup and people are going crazy for it.
I have read that security and the football for the tournament will be coming from Pakistan - what a big achievement for Pakistanis.
There's probably going to be a lot of local security as well, and I reckon any cheaper security from overseas that they can get.

The amount of extra visitors that a world cup brings is insane, so the country must prepare a lot, and security in particular is a key thing to keep in check.

I'm sure they're going to be very organized though.
The oversea staff they are calling for security to Qatar is from Pakistan - and Pakistani force is not cheap they are very expensive and they have best military in the Muslim world. Full of valour and enthusiasm - we will see how they would manage security in Qatar. Fingers crossed to experience amazing matches.
