For FIFA to choose Qatar as host for this year word Cup am sure they might have make good plans for the world cup and also fans who will visit Qatar for the world cup.  If Qatar is not a good place for the world cup I don't think Qatar  will be selected to host.  FIFA always take security so serious when selecting a host for world cup.
I've been talking with my friends and I've also read on some websites, and almost all of them commented that the World Cup this year in Qatar could be interesting to watch.

As it will be the first time that Qatar will host a World Cup (correct me if I'm wrong), they will do everything they can to provide an excellent event!

I will be anxious to follow the World Cup this year!

I don't think it makes a difference or at least I would say it is an excuse if the players claim that the time of the year was decisive. They are top notch professionals and will play that tournament at any time in any place on any planet Wink They are used to playing almost year round anyway, they know snow, rain, and extremely hot weather. I think it won't be about the "time of the year". If anything, the climate could play a role in soccer, but even that is taken care of within the stadiums as far as I know.
Another point is that it would be hot or whatever the condition is for both teams and not just one team. If England loses to France, they can't say it was too hot as an excuse because it was hot for the French players as well, how could it be not equal in that sense.

However, playing on perfect conditions allow us to watch a better game, it matters to us. If the weather is good enough then everyone will play their best and we will watch amazing games, if it's too hot, too cold, rain, snow or whatever, even if too windy, then we are going to see results that are based on not the perfect situation and that will not be good thing to view as a fan who will be watching from home, certainly not to people who watch it on the stadiums.

The issue is not just the physical condition, this can be more or less well managed by the players and technical teams. The issue is the preparation time for the tournament. The technical teams of the national teams will have less time to prepare the team for the tournament. The internship period will be shorter.
In addition, the different tournament times as usual make the players and teams need to prepare so that everything can be fit,
however I still see the weather atmosphere can affect players because they are still human,
Hopefully there will be no problems later

Most of the players from South America and especially the big players play in European teams. It has been like this for a long time, we can say 30 or 40 years at least? They were never in a situation that they have regular season and in the middle of it they have to concentrate on something else for a quite some time. Then go back to their clubs again. Even this is ridiculous enough in my opinion that we are having a World Cup in the middle of regular seasons. It is neither good for players nor their clubs nor the national teams. Qatar did some very sketchy things to get this World Cup obviously. I find this irregularity a disgrace for whole football world. This might affect players, clubs and national teams in a bad way for years to come. Let us not care about the time zones please. There are more important things at stake.
One important question is how they are going to deal with gambling, alcohol and other things which the spectator would not mind doing because they are legally allowed to do it in their country. Also I too sense that Qatar has done something sketchy to get the world cup I think they are the first muslim country to host such big event -correct me if I am wrong.

I think that there was a bribing scandal which allowed Qatar to get the world cup, the moment such a thing was discovered the world cup should have been moved to another country immediately but it did not happened, so if something as important as a corruption scandal was not enough to change the host of the world cup then we can deduce there are very little chances that the event will be moved to another country when there is so little time left for the world cup to start.
And this is how Qatar got their World Cup. Instead of football fans watching World Cup in the summer, they bought the World Cup to be arranged in the middle of winter and in the middle of the season in all the big football-leagues. It a shame. And UEFA/FIFA still doesn't lift a finger regarding FFP and let Qatar do whatever they want.

Well, that's just a northern hemisphere point of view...

It will be close to summer time in the southern hemisphere though, South America, Australia, New Zealand, etc...

I'm sure all the fans in those countries will be happy to have a World Cup at that time, plus also the times of the matches will be better, not at 4am or so like when it's played in Europe.

I think Qatar have full power how controlling with kick off begin on middle of the season, all European competition and League stop awhile and they keep focusing with 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Actually have bad impact for European team because they have play above ten until sixteen match and keep pause more than one month for playing on World Cup, after World Cup ended they will back to their team and get negative impact for all player, they don't have enough time taking rest after playing on World Cup will back to their team and play again at domestic league.

This is undoubtedly a new challenge for players who play in European leagues, as well as European clubs. I think it's the first time that a world cup is not played in June/July.
On the other hand, the world cup will take place at the end of the season, at the championships in South America. This could be favorable for the players who play in these championships that will participate in the world cup.

That's why I think this World Cup will bring many surprises.

If you look at all the Qatari players in the domestic league,
but there is one name that seems to be striking and dangerous in the world cup later, namely Akram Afif,
this player has been at Villareal and Eupen, of course Afif will be one of the top players in Qatar

I think it doesn't matter what the weather is like where you are watching it from, it just matter what's the weather is like around the stadiums, so that players would be better. Qatar is such a hot nation that they literally built a whole air cooling system into the stadiums that they will use during November, I mean think about it, if it is that hot during November, how hot it must be during July or so?

It must be melting your brains. Outside of that, you could be any place in the world and your own weather shouldn't matter, you are usually watching in closed places, bars, pubs, houses, even conference places if you organize it, but not open places usually, so it should be fine.

Argentina I find hard to judge right now. I think that this World Cup is a bit more about luck then it used to be. In the past we had some very balanced team, first and foremost Spain for many years. This year I am not sure, there isn't really a team that is perfectly balanced from the keeper to the offenders. Argentina was often incredibly strong in the offense, but had their blatant weaknesses in the defense.
I don't feel the world cup is now more about luck, for example it is not possible for an underdog team to win the world cup out of nowhere. Argentina are contenders, they made it to the final in 2014, though they lost to Germany, this world cup is Messi's last and that is more motivation for them, i am not saying that it is enough to make them victorious, but it can be a morale booster. There are some national teams that are favorites to win the world cup this year, they are the strongest, the likes of France, Germany, England, Brazil, Argentina, i feel the world champion will emerge from one of these countries.

Of course Argentina are contenders and also one of the favorites, but I think one of MANY favorites. By the way, when you say the little teams have no chance, of course statistically you are right. But do you remember when Germany became World Champion in 2014? They almost lost it against Algeria in the round of 16 and were only able to win the game in overtime with 2:1. It goes to show that even the small teams can create a lot of fun for the audience. Or at the European Championship when Greece won it. Also a very crazy outcome. I am just looking forward to how everything will go and I hope there is still a lot of action in the stadiums given everything takes place in Qatar. Hopefully no discrimination of women and so on..

With the hype World Cup has already created. People are getting crazy to get a place in Qatar.
It will be a great opportunity for the business class in Qatar and obviously for the people there. Let's see how they deal their Islamic state protocols and the tourist and players concerns.
Qatar is a very smart country in handling any issues or any protocol, because Qatar always upholds their own rules and also the special rules for the World Cup so there will be no worries for tourists and players. Because Qatar has made everything very complete so anyone who wants to be there must be happy to follow the rules that have been made.
That is what Nazi Germany tried to do for the Olympics as well, and we saw what it lead to. Just because they will show a greener side of their nation to the world, doesn't mean that death and suffering isn't going on in there. This means, if you give them a platform to show the whole world how "free" they are, then many people will believe that and it will create a bit of a chaos, and that's a trouble.

We should focus on the fact that they are a terrible nation and shouldn't be doing this to begin with, I would be fine with cancelling it all even today, keep the dates and do it like all over the world, whole teams have flights enough, or just go to England, they have like a million stadiums, should be fine, but DO NOT do it in Qatar, they are horrible.

From what has been shown in the French league, it could be said that yes, what happens is that there are players like Pogba who are compactly integrated with the entire team, most of the players on the squad get along with Pogba, Sometimes it is difficult to find a player with the characteristics and characteristics similar to his, however, it is as you say, France has very good players, no player is irreplaceable or essential, they all have substitutions because the team has to move on With or without stars, but it would affect at least the work that Pogba does, but between now and November 20 it is very likely that Pogba will recover.

He had influence in the last World Cup! when he was a "newbir"...he is one of those players who has to be there for crucial matches...there are no essential players in the starting eleven of a team but there are exceptions to the rule, man! with Pogba It is to have better chances of being champions.

I think that at the level of this type of short event and especially the World Cup,  there are essential players, even at the level of any team that goes to the World Cup.

For this reason, it is not only so difficult to want to win the world cup, but for small teams to give a good performance, a good player or the star player does not play at the level in at least 3 games, to wait 4 more years or hope that a new star.

Are we talking about the same country? Like Qatar the Qatar? Maybe you should read some amnesty international reports and the set of rules has already been clearly defined. This World Cup will clearly be different. Read about Back and Batista, two women who are referees, and how that sheihk behaved when they crossed his path at the award ceremony. That has nothing to do with rules, that's just disgusting. I am curious how this World Cup will go and how many things may (or may intentionally not) come to light.
