The last match of Qatar vs Ecuador is in 2018 when Qatar won 4-3 against Ecuador.
And based on FIFA Ranking, the two teams are not much different, Qatar Ranking: 49 and Ecuador: 44.
Ecuador has qualified well for the World Cup after finishing 4th in the Conmebol zone
but the home match and the supporter factor is a distinct advantage for Qatar.
And my guess is this match will end in a Draw

yes it is, they have a history of matches in 2018 but it was a friendly match, and ecuador had two red cards for it.  I think this is where the real match will take place, in the opening game of the world cup.
and yes, the host factor is a distinct advantage for Qatar and other supporting factors, one of which the Qatari public will provide full support for the match.
however, I don't think these factors will have much of an impact throughout the game. vice versa, i think ecuador will also do its job with full totality and however in terms of player quality, ecuador is above the qatar squad.

There is no doubt we have good history of early upsets, but this need something special and Qatar is surely not capable of giving any type upset in this world cup because their most players are playing leagues at home, and they have not good enough structure and quality in their league just money invested by few rich peoples for their sack is working in Gulf soccer leagues.

They have no enough quality to compete with top class teams right now in this group Ecuador and Senegal both are having good results in last few matches and most chances they are going to be tough for Qatar to give them tough time or having any upset against them as both are going to fight for place into next round.

All results are possible with most of the teams are doing good job in last few months right now we have just predictions which can go into wrong way as well because in this event we have all good teams those came here after winning competitions against quality sides, but Qatar is here just because they are host nation, but preparation is going good for them as well.

Ecuador is also not bad side, but surely home advantage is going with Qatar, and they can go for win and draw all options possible because it's a big event and all here for win Qatar authorities are also doing good work for their domestic set up as well and investing good money for bringing quality as we all know current Barcelona coach Xavi was here as a club coach so its mean they also have potential for doing good.

Let's see. First match will be Qatar - Ecuador. I reckon Ecuador will win by one or two goals. Then Qatar - Senegal... I'm not really sure about this one. Maybe a draw. Then we'll have The Netherlands - Qatar, which of course the dutch will win. So, overall I can see Qatar ending with 1 point, and not going through the next stage. My guess is that The Netherlands and Ecuador will advance in that group.

I won't be surprised if Ecuador wins by a margin of 4-0 or higher. Still, Qatar's performance during the FIFA Arab Cup was satisfactory. Managed wins against strong teams such as Iraq and the United Arab Emirates. And they won the 3rd place by defeating one of the strongest CAF teams (Egypt). Also, last month the Qatar team toured Europe and played a series of matches against various club sides such as Udinese, Lazio and Fiorentina. They lost only one out of the 6matches (against Linfield FC).

No matter that Qatar is the host country on this first game against Ecuador there is money to be made and I think Ecuador odds will be really low as the difference in quality between the two teams is noticeable. We have seen quite some big surprises in the last World Cup but I doubt Qatar is able to achieve a surprise result against Ecuador.I think Ecuador needs to win this game at all costs in order to have a chance to qualify further,if they don't win against Qatar then against who will they win?

I remember that run by Korea and it was full of controversies, however even then Korea was a difficult team to deal with, but in the case of Qatar there is little doubt they are one of the worst teams on the competition, so even if they were to receive some kind of external help, something I will not put past them, the chances they will make it to the next round are low, however I cannot completely discard it as I am sure we have seen even weirder things happening in soccer.
yes this world cup will never be free from controversy, but we agree, we have the same doubts for qatar, seeing their abilities are below average.
And if I'm honest, we will all agree that the Netherlands and Senegal have the most potential to qualify for the next group stage.  however, that doesn't mean we all have to underestimate the team's squad as the weakest squad label.
however they are the host of the event, they will fight to the best of their ability in front of their own public, as long as 2×45 minutes of the match runs, anything can happen.
That's what we are going to see, Netherlands and Senegal. Even Qatar wouldn't be stupid enough to do something so obvious as buying of refs, I mean it would look terrible for everything on their future, people would never consider them as legit anymore and they would have hard time getting players to their clubs.

It's always better to be a good loser, then a sorrow one and if you do that, then it's better for their future considering how they could simply just act as if Qatar is a great nation and not a bad one like people think, if they do that then they could get superstars to their clubs when they are old which they have done for so long now, maybe even pay for some that are not too old after this.

I still feel that their chances of advancing to the knockout stages are still a bit open even though there are the Netherlands and Senegal here.
These two teams will be strong contenders in this group. As for Ecuador and Qatar, they are still the Underdogs and are not seeded despite hosting Qatar.
But sometimes the home team is always lucky and at least getting through it can be a good achievement even though it is very difficult.

IMO, Netherlands and Ecuador are the strongest teams in that group. Qatar stands no chance against them. They may have a chance against Senegal, but as we know the latter have some very good players such as Sadio Mané and Kalidou Koulibaly. Qatar doesn't play that often against teams of this calibre. They usually play against AFC teams such as Saudi Arabia and Iran, and their style of play can be very different when compared to the CAF and CONMEBOL teams. To be honest, there is a good chance that Qatar may end up with zero points in the group stage.
Ecuador is still something that can be considered good in this group but I don't like the tough game they apply in this case because it could be a suicide bombing for them.
Senegal is still very good, especially with the current conditions, they are indeed the champion of AFCON which clearly brings high confidence.
Actually Qatar is the least seeded team but with the home title hopefully they will give a surprise.

No doubt about the Netherlands they can top the group as they are much superior in quality and skill players but for second team it's not easy because Senegal is good team, and recently they won African Nations Cup, but Ecuador is also very good and full of good players as we watch recently they have done good performance in qualifiers which is giving clear picture that they also can go through into last sixteen but most chances we have to wait for perfect result on match day because here in talk and on papers no one can predict about any result all will be happened on ground.

Qatar is surely coming at fourth and most chances they will be going without any point because they need some good time for having quality and combination which is essential for staying into this event and giving challenge to top ranked teams.

At least Qatar should try to get a very large number of goals against Senegal because indeed when they meet the two big clubs Qatar will not be able to calm down and may also lose but if Qatar can get lucky and can win this season then it is very encouraging. many people were astonished.

The first match is going to be between Qatar and Ecuador. I am not expecting any miracles, because Ecuador performed exceptionally well during the CONMEBOL qualifiers. They managed to finish ahead of top teams such as Colombia and Chile. Obviously there was some controversy regarding the eligibility of Byron Castillo, but it looks as if they have managed to put that episode behind them. Anyway, Qatar's best chance is going to be against Senegal. But who knows, if they can get a draw against either Netherlands or Ecuador, they may be able to qualify to the next stage.
We all know that Qatar is the host country for this World Cup. According to FIFA rules, the hosts can directly participate in the World Cup. And the first match of this World Cup will be played between Qatar and Ecuador There is a lot of excitement around the first match in the World Cup. However, the first match between Qatar and Equid Or will be a very tight battle I will put Qatar ahead as the host nation in this mess. There will be enough Qatari supporters in this match and the Qatari weather will help the Qatari players a lot.

I feel that Quatar will suffer heavy defeats in each and every match they play, and just cause they’re hosting the tournament it won’t do them any favours, hence if I get decent odds I plan to wager against them. Also Ecuador should be wary of Senegal cause they’re getting strong, and if they play well then they can beat any opponent in their group and that’s why I feel that even Netherland’s won’t take them lightly.
I am also feeling in same way Qatar can face some heavy defeats as the Netherlands are going to top the group with we are going to have some tough match between Ecuador and Senegal because both teams are good and having few quality players specially Senegal which recently won African Cup, and they have few masterclass players those can do much better in any condition and Ecuador is also having quality players those are playing in South American and UEFA clubs but on other hand Qatar is here just because of host nation and their players are also not experienced like other teams and most of them are playing in local clubs because they have no enough quality to join big clubs around the world.

Senegal, Qatar and Ecuador all are in good shape and can give any result in presence of their quality players those are involved in UEFA clubs and have good enough experience.
Those three have to be the weakest teams in the world cup, not sure if this was supposed to be a joke post, but i definitely don't see any of them in good shape.

Of course the host team is always a favorite, but I'm not sure if Qatar will be able to go to the next round for example.

maybe Qatar can advance to the next round, we will never know what will happen later in the field throughout the 2x45 minute match anything can happen.
I remember the 2002 World Cup, when South Korea and Japan hosted the World Cup. The only Asian squad that advanced to the next round and beat the big giants was South Korea, how South Korea beat Italy 2-1 with all the controversy.

maybe this could also happen with qatar if they can prove it or luck factor on their side.although it's hard to imagine they can qualify for the next round, and the quality of the Qatar squad is far below the average European and Latin American squad.  however, I think, in this phase of the group stage, all the teams that will compete later have a chance to qualify for the next round.

I haven't followed the Netherlands too much lately, but the Belgian team is already quite an experienced team with very good results recently. Weren't the Belgians third in the world at the last world championship in Russia?
In my opinion, France and Brazil are the main favorites at the World Cup, but between these teams, Spain, Argentina, England, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal and Croatia, I believe we will see at least one participant in the finals of the World Cup.
This world championship will be highly uncertain and small details and luck will probably decide the winner.

This World Cup is so uncertain that it changes the traditional date for the end of the year, something very rare for those of us who have been following the World Cup for years.

Belgium according to a survey that I present I do not remember which thread1 of these of the World Cup was above of the england team something that caused "heartburn" in another user, though the percentage difference didn't reach 1%, but that tells you in a certain way at what level the Belgium team is.

I think that maybe Team Belgium, just like what happened with the Dutch team in those 70s, 80s and part of the 90s where it was a candidate team to win the World Cup, it became that team where 2 generations of good soccer players were left without winning. the soccer world cup.

In my opinion and in a certain way keeping the distances of individual figures of the Dutch national team of those World Cups or times mentioned, Belgium is in something similar, I repeat I do not say that it is the same but it is very close.

Belgium is a candidate team and it cannot be called a surprise in this World Cup if it manages to be on the podium and even win.

It is true that the only way Qatar was going to play in the world cup is by hosting the world cup. And I really don't believe that they have any chance of winning or even getting past the first stage of the world cup. I am not even sure that they will be able to win even one match. However, as they are the hosting countries, they will be able to participate in the world cup, but even the people of Qatar don't have high hopes for them.
