I don't think Brasil is the biggest favorite for this tournament but they are always in the discussion. They used to have more powerful squad but now they are mid team at best. Neymar is not the ideal leader, they are far away from real Ronaldo and then Ronaldinho era.
England never had an achievement for years, they always say maybe this time but it never happens. I'll probably stick with Argentina this time as I want Messi to finally lift the trophy before he retires.
Wishful thinking  Wink For all his shortcomings, Neymar is clearly a better leader than Messi, and Brazil is clearly a stronger team than Argentina. I do not think that Brazil will become champions (one of the European teams should become). As for England, I would say that they are in the position of Spain before they made the treble (two European Championships + World Cup in a row), I don’t know if they will be lucky this time, but the possibility of this cannot be ruled out.
I am not agreed with you about this here Neymar is never been better than Messi because he is mostly having issues which injuries and never give his best for Brazil he is far from Ronaldo and his other top ranked leaders with this all I am still positive about them in this world cup, but I am feeling Argentina is also having fair chance for this event because they are also in the best shape and their few players are capable to give their best in this event.

After having these two I am going with two European teams which are Germany and France because these two also performing consistently and having few quality players which are able to perform in this mega event no other team is near them, but upsets can happen which already have in past many times.

Well... Brazil has already lost 7-0 in a game for the FIFA World Cup, it's something that every Brazilian like me would like to forget, but there's no way... it's something that will be forever marked in the minds of everyone who watched it. that shame.

Anyway, Brazilian football hasn't lost its credibility, I myself believe that the Brazilian team has many chances to win this world cup.
So, I also wouldn't take the merit of England because of a single game in which they were bad, that happens even with the best teams.

I am feeling this is an ideal and realistic review about two teams which are currently having too much hype for this coming world cup which is going to play in Qatar in November. England has never been quality team for this even they need to do some more work if they want to win trophies because their mostly players are tired with their domestic setup, and they were never able to perform good in this event. Southgate is also not good coach which can bring good results for this team, even he is also hyped for last few months which is just because of bookmakers tag about England is second or third favorite team in this event.

Brazil which is most favorite I am also having not positive feeling about them but still they are underdog's and can do anything with their samba style.

England is good, but way too volatile. Besides that, I also have my thoughts about the quality of the coach. An inexperienced coach who has never achieved anything anywhere. You can never become World Champion with that. France has had a poor preparation so far, but that's not saying much. Brazil has a very strong team, but it wouldn't surprise me if Argentina takes the title. After all, a title suits the best football player in the world, Messi.
I've never considered England to be a big contender for European or World titles... They have a great level of club football, but the high results the national team has started to achieve in the last 4 years... In 2018 they finished 4th in the World Cup and in 2020 they played in the final of the European Championships but finished 2nd... Probably the bookies are making them second favourites for a reason, but I don't think England will win...

English clubs are very good in European club competitions and achieve excellent results, but mostly due to financial power and a large number of foreign players in English clubs.
On the other hand, of course, only English players can play in the English national team, and England is not as dominant there as in club football.
In fact, it is incredible that a country that is the cradle of football, and that has such a long tradition, is so bad in representative football and that they were world champions only once, way back in 1966 on their own field and with the help of a controversial referee.
I think that Brazil and France, not England, are the main favorites at the World Cup in Qatar.
I think the English national team has the talents in the squad that could give them any trophy including the world cup but their performance have always been average in all competitions. I think they need a better experienced manager to take over because their current manager is not able to get the best out of the talents at his disposal. They are like PSG team under Mauricio Pochettino

FOr most of the people Brazil is the hot favourite and for others. Portugal is on the hit list.
But one thing is important to see
Yes, maybe I should admit how people always talk about Brazil.
Precisely what people often talk about these five countries.
[🇫🇷: France.
[🇧🇷: Brazil.
[🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿: England
[🇦🇷: Argentina
[🇵🇹: Portugal

However, I'm not sure that Brazil can enter the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA world cup in Qatar this time, let alone the final, even though Brazil has won several world cups, I don't deny the fact.

However, this is the generation of football in 2022, the story is different from 2002, when Brazil beat Germany 2-0, I have more confidence in the European representatives this time like: France, Spain and Germany went all the way to the end of the semi-finals and finals, though that will all be evident when the match kicks off in Qatar.

how Qatar will deal with Alcohol and other things which are banned in Islamic states.
Qatar has a tax on beer, wine and alcoholic beverages, which are priced at 340 riyals/bottle, while wine is priced at 86 riyals/bottle, for that amount of money, it's nothing for world football players, even though Qatar is Islamic, it doesn't mean that Qatar doesn't have alcoholic beverages, it's actually the top and most expensive alcohol there, there is no obstacle to that.

England will have to play a lot better to become world champions. It may not say everything, but they lost 0-4 at home to Hungary last in the Nations League? I don't see countries like Brazil and France doing that anytime soon. And then also at home. I think England made a bad and strange choice with the appointment of Southgate as coach. Little experience and no big club trained. England is not just a country to coach. They should have asked someone else. Would Ferguson not be interested? I think this World Cup is going to be a huge disappointment for England.

I think, England coach has a lot of work to do to bring the team back  again by increasing their performance in this world cup. England fans was not happy about the poor performance they experienced during the nation league, that is causing their country fear if they will be able to perform well in the world cup competition. I believe England will definitely improve higher in world cup competition, because their coach is well prepared to introduce more tactics that will help the team to achieve victory through out the tournament.

Brazil hasn't lost a single match in the entire qualification stage. And that's in CONMEBOL, one of the most competitive confederations of the world cup. Argentina has the same stats.

For comparison, the other two teams that qualified, Uruguay and Ecuador, have both lost six matches.

That tells you something about how good Brazil and Argentina are.

can't you see how European teams are performing lately, not too good, odds are favoring brazil and I'm not surprised and they seem to be the closest to win it in my opinion, I'm putting England at almost the bottom of the list to win the world cup this year, I don't think they can do it, Argentina has a better chance.

I agree that Nations league is not something to base what they have been going through. I mean France and England saw that as a friendly game and tested both newer players (not just young, but new to national team) and also strategies and formations that would be different.

I know that some teams cared about it enough to try and win each game, but that doesn't change the fact that they didn't really have anything special going on with no rewards or anything so nobody really cared 100%. They will not be the same in World Cup, they will play with 100% all they got and they will be doing much better. If everyone didn't believe that, the oddmakers wouldn't give these odds.

Hehe, repeat that once more please.
They are simply over rated and over hyped.
I can't even place one cent of my mortgage on England to win the World Cup.
Southgate is no better than a division two manager.

England performance has been very poor recently and this level of performance will not get you past the knockout stage. If they want to progress further past the round of 16 stages they will have to do much better, put the team together. I also agree that Southgate is not good enough for the manager position because they have quality players and yet he is not able to get them to top performance. I think a more suitable coach should be brought in.

I agree with you that England have not been part of the team I have excelled in even for a number of years. There are so many reasons why I don't think England has the capability to compete any more. Their game is not very promising, even when they have a line of great names in their place. England failed to take advantage of the ability of its players.
There was time when England was able to have this trophy, but they fail now with current situation and their game plan it's not looking promising even bookmakers feeling good about them but still it's one of most tough condition for them to win this trophy.

And they are having some good results in Nations League, but there are other factors which are having their impact, and they are able to perform in better way right now I am also having same feeling it's not easy for them to win or even reach into last four of this competition because few other European teams have much better quality and skilled players which can do better than England and have chance of winning this trophy.

Sure. On the one hand, I agree with you, but on the other hand, bookmakers are already taking bets on that event with might and main. Here is a group of favorites:

Brazil 5.50

England 6.55

France 7.00

Spain 8.95

Argentina 8.95

Germany 11.90

Portugal 13.00

Netherlands 13.00

Belgium 13.10

If I remember correctly, the last time I looked at the quotes, Brazil and England were on the same level, and France lagged behind quite a bit. It turns out that the games in the League of Nations had a negative impact on the chances of European teams.
Nations League was a disaster for France and England but I doubt that these clubs will perform poorly in Qatar like they did in NL.
Brazil to be the most favourite is OK. England in the second place? That's a bit exaggerated imo. France is better tho. Argentina isn't that bad and there shouldn't be such difference from England. Portugal? That would be a surprise.

Maybe the motivation of the teams will be better at the World Cup, or maybe not, so the bookmakers are doing the right thing by taking these results into account. As for the chances of the teams, the differences are not so great if we translate these coefficients into percentages. Brazil will have 18%, Argentina 11% and Portugal and Belgium 7.7% each.
