Sadly, it's a loss.

Seems that the later WNBA matches are much more difficult to bet. Since obviously, that Moneyline is not worth picking, no choice but to bet on handicap. Most WNBA teams seem also not consistent in most cases wherein if they will show dominance tonight, the other night is worst and etc.

Looking at the gap in the current odds on the upcoming games later on which is posted above, is that how far the distance between teams in WNBA right now?

I want to see the next day's set of matches if the ML odds are still having that wide gap.
No, the games today are a good match.
Washington Mystics vs Seattle Storm is playing while posting this reply. The score 46-45 and the spreads are just +0.5 and +1.5.
The other game today is Atlanta Dream vs Dallas Wings and the spreads are also near at just -1.5 - +1.5
There are just weak teams like Orlando Magic in NBA that are being given higher spreads when clashing with a super team.  Grin

But correct, the difficulty level to win is higher because of inconsistency.

Correct danherbias07, I have been betting in WNBA prior to this thread, unfortunately, it was a very different league as the NBA as it was really hard to read as teams a very inconsistent.

The last bet I won was Las Vegas Aces vs Los Angeles Sparks, under 162.5 final score 84-66.

But then lost on Indiana Fever vs Dallas Wings at under 173.5 in which the Wings won. However, both teams suddenly find their shooting range in the 3rd specially in the 4th quarter.

So it's really very difficult to me, that was my experience in the first week that I bet on the tournament.

...//...:::

Well, actually I never bet for the Aces VS Fever match and I really don't want to risk a bet for the Indiana Fever aswell, because I think this is a sure win for the Las Vegas Aces, well I should have indicated that I didn't bet on this one, but I have bet on the 2nd game for Halftime/Fulltime, New York Liberty on the 1st half and Chicago Sky on the fulltime, 5.60 for Chicago Sky winning this game,

At first, I was really hesitant in creating this thread, because there might be no people who would like a discussion for the WNBA, but I still made it, and hoped for the best, at the 1st week there are no one posting for the thread, but I think 1 or 2 more weeks have past and likely many are posting in, well not a bad idea posting this thread after all,

There are other threads out there that don't generate as many visits or comments but that doesn't mean that they don't reach certain users, I like soccer, I'm passionate about it, but the fact that I don't write in the MTs doesn't indicate the opposite,  even sometimes I read certain posters.

By the way I like the WNBA, so from time to time if I find myself with a promising odds on a team that I know I have some information on, why not bet a few $.
Then here we are reading to see what information one can to "fish" or learn in the continuity of the thread.

I'm a basketball guy but not a fan of WNBA but it's good that you have created a thread about this so I'll learn more and be acquainted with the players and teams so that i could bet in the future while waiting for the NBA to open.

edit:

researched a bit about WNBA and found out that Las Vegas Aces is the favorite to win this season's championship so I'll watch out their every game from now on.

Yes, the thread is good to see how other bettors pick their bets in WNBA,

Not a good fan of this league, but like you while waiting for the NBA to start aside from local basketball games, WNBA
is also a good place to bet.

Just need to do some research and see how things work from this league. Info are also available online, so it will
be interesting to start sparing some extra coin here.

Oh I've seen some crazy stuff bet on so this isn't even crazy, just funny how people will literally bet on anything.  Chances are these bettors don't even enjoy the game from a fan standpoint.  Just playing the numbers.

Not that crazy but I'm sure these people preferred only to bet on the sports of basketball that even if they don't have any knowledge of the league itself, as long as it's basketball, they will bet on it. As long as what's the available league is currently active, they will consider placing a bet on those.

Take for example some NBA bettors, they will bet on Euroleague, Chinese League, Australian League, etc. I'm sure these NBA bettors don't know much about those leagues I have mentioned but just want to test the waters betting on it since it's basketball and they are comfortable betting only on basketball matches.

Much better to see it that way compared to people jumping and shifting on other sports without any knowledge. That's basically a suicide bet.

Honestly to me anyone who makes bets without even knowing anything about the league is definitely crazy.  Basically just throwing money in the wind and seeing if it comes back.  The beauty of sports betting is trying to get an edge on the house by knowing the ins and outs of each team to hopefully get that edge.  Otherwise just play the lottery right?

My first time visiting this thread, I'm glad that we have a WNBA thread, and though I'm not following this league so much with this thread, I become more interested in learning about the league. So anyone here betting on this league? Kindly share your bets to make this thread more exciting to follow.  Smiley

Welcome to the thread, and like you, I am also new to the league and pretty much still familiarizing some players and teams and their skills and I am providing my picks and what I have bet on a particular game, maybe I will post mine if I get interested in such teams because most games in the WNBA is not consistent but surely it is on my own knowledge and used it as a guide only,

Yeah, she may never be the same again but for her coming back she can still play and be with her team again.

I really feel sorry for her, in fact, I am looking for some news if what will really happen and if Biden really will push the prisoner swap, or if the WNBA will keep her playing, even though she still wants to play for the WNBA if the WNBA doesn't want you to play because of bad record but let's wait and see, I will keep us posted if there are Current update on the case,

Here are the results for today's game

Indiana Fever VS Las Vegas Aces SCORE 72 - 93 - WIN

Just like I have said A'ja Wilson has scored more than 20 points today, and she has scored 22 points this time along with Kelsey Plum, and yes I haven't bet for the winning team but I have bet on the Halftime/full-time and it was a bit lost because the Las Vegas Aces have dominated the entire quarter, the 1st half and the 2nd half they have dominated the Indiana Fever, and indeed I may have won my pick but I indeed lost the bet, because it is unpredictable if the Indiana Fever will win a quarter,

Chicago Sky VS New York Liberty SCORE 89 - 81 - WIN

And with this match, I indeed won the picks and the bet as well, and because the odds were slightly increased in this game, I also won my Halftime/full-time with this game, New York Liberty will win on the 1st half, and the Chicago Sky will take the full time and it did, it was really an amazing night,

Brittney Griner pretty much is in prison on Russian soil, but Biden has announced that he approved a prisoner swap with Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan with Viktor Bout but there are no further details about it,
Let's say the swap occurs, do you think that she'll be able to get back on track on the league?

Brittney Griner will never be the same again, all that moments lost almost 5 months, and after this incident, if she can surely play for the WNBA again, maybe she can, but I highly doubt that time that she has missed is surely a lot, and this incident I think was very traumatic for her as well,

^I like the picks but it ain't profitable.
Spreads are -14.5 for the Aces and -10.5 for the Sky. I would just go for the +14.5 for the Indiana Fever instead.

This is good. I was thinking about opening a thread about this too but I was in doubt it will get the support because most of the members here are likely to watch NBA than WNBA.
Perhaps we could make some spark starting with this.
After many years I am checking anything related to WNBA because nearly ten years back we are active in this game and have good predictions even this is one of the most difficult sports to predict and odds are also not good enough for these bets because bookmakers have no enough stuff like they have in NBA, so they are not offering good markets and odds for these games right now end of first match between Aces vs Fever which easily won by Aces with the score of 93 - 72 and spreads -14.5 works in this game second game of this evening also won by Sky vs Liberty with the score of 89 - 81. Now we have one early game tonight, hopefully something good works for punters.

Was a great bit because he is on so right with that.  His delivery of that bit was great too.  I mean really how can they match nba when they aren't pulling in any money.  Do people actually bet on wnba?  Ya'll hard up for some action 😅

They won't match NBA and I think NBA is subsidizing WNBA to keep it afloat. Anyway, a match is still a match and most gamblers, specially addicts, will bet on anything they can bet on. If sportsbook pick it up, somebody will make a bet.

I won't take too much action in WNBA though because I don't follow this league. It is hard to make a bet when you're just guessing.

Yeah no I understand they will never match nba.  I think the only thing that can come close is probably women's national team soccer in the US.  And that is strictly because they are generally successful where as the men's national team is nothing on the big stage.

Women don't watch basketball to adore the sport, they look at men and appreciate abs and strong men. If the WNBA's uniform will be different like two-piece swimwear, men will flock together in the gym and buy tickets for thier teen kids. Sports athletes' event is a good place to look for your preference. Maybe WNBA will mandatorily require athletes to be sexy and beautiful to have  more support for both men and women.

In my opinion, there are different types of women with different likes and I think the adoration of a woman and another woman is not just intimacy, you can also say that some adoration because she likes how she plays and wants to play just like her, just like Jayson Tatum to Kobe Bryant, Tatum wants the mindset of Kobe and adoring him and one be like him when he plays ball, I really think WNBA doesn't need sexy and beautiful players but if there will be beautiful players that are a bonus, but just like in the NBA talent and greatness in playing basketball is what they are needing,

Here are my picks for the WNBA 2022 tomorrow games

Indiana Fever VS Las Vegas Aces

Stake odds for this game are 7.20 for the Fever while 1.06 for the Aces, for now, there are no injuries for any teams, and Las Vegas Aces have the upper hand with the odds if they are the favorite to win, and the last game for this team it was Las Vegas Aces wins with the score of 90 - 77 a pretty much high Advantage for the Aces, and I think A'ja Wilson from the Aces will score more than 20 plus points again, While Jackie Young is on support, so my pick will be Las Vegas Aces but due to the number of odds for the Aces,

Chicago Sky VS New York Liberty

Stake odds for this game are 1.16 for Sky while 4.50 for Liberty, Right now for New York Liberty Betnijah Laney is said to be the only injured player, and she underwent arthroscopic surgery, On July 24, Liberty won a game against Chicago Sky with 83 - 80 Score, but for now, I think Chicago Sky will take their revenge in this game for me Chicago Sky could win this game, so Chicago Sky is my pick,

I haven't seen any thread here so I made one, well I think there are not many who wants to discuss the woman's NBA but it is worth the shot,
That's probably because nobody or less than 1% of the sports bettors in this forum gamble on their games. WNBA are not generating enough revenue year on year to sustain the operations and the last time I read anything significant about them was that they're able to raise millions early this year for a business model revamp.

As Bill Burr said so eloquently, the WNBA has been failed by women. Women aren’t supporting women’s sports the way men (or women) support men’s sports. This leads to a major difference in revenue and thus salaries for players. If women supported women’s sports more, maybe networks would start making a bigger deal about their games and people might eventually take an interest.

Unfortunate as it may seem but that's the reality. Some men even compare watching WNBA to buying an inferior product. They would rather choose the best out there if they're going to spend their money.

Well, I can not blame them and I think they are used to supporting the regular NBA more than with the Woman's league, but I am just asking if we can surely give credit and importance to the woman that surely has potential to the sports of basketball, well and just like what I have said that Kobe Bryant little girl (Gigi) Gianna Byrant was inspired of this sports that she promised that she will one day play on it, well rest their souls, if Bryant is still alive I think he will surely support this in any way possible,

Brittney Griner pretty much is in prison on Russian soil, but Biden has announced that he approved a prisoner swap with Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan with Viktor Bout but there are no further details about it,

Anyway update to the WNBA right now as I am posting this, the Phoenix Mercury and Los Angeles Sparks, are having a match and they are in the 3rd Quarter of their game, having Phoenix Mercury on the advantage, having Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smiths pumping some score for the Phoenix Mercury,
