I advise all beginners who are going to invest in altcoins do not invest the entire Deposit one coin, scatter parts, it reduces the risks and increases the chances.
If you have 500$ and u dont know where the best place to invest your money. Then I will give you a recommendation to invest it on ETH or BTC only. Why?? Because ETH and BTC is the key of all crypto. If BTC down then ETH will down too, then if ETH down almost all altcoin is down too!! This is good to investing your money for long hold because BTC and ETH definitely will up every end of the year - the beginning of the year, therefore all crypto will up too, but if u choose other token you have a very risk to investing on it because if the price goes up it won't be too high
With respect to me I will encourage you to Devide the $500 To at least 5 sections and put resources into various new alts simply turn out to advertise from "high" appraised ICOs on icodrops and exchanging close ICO cost. I think as well, if you take that $ 500 and invest in Ethereum, it will be a smart investment when Bitcoin has risen to $ 7000 but Ethereum is still unoccupied.
I might want to differ with the assessment about the vials. This stage has been working for quite a while. It doesn't contend with the new separations. There are no desires for it. Sasha does not satisfy the guarantee of his guide. The cost is at indistinguishable level from a year prior. I figure that it is sufficient aggregate to put it in one altcoin like Waves, since it is extremely encouraging task with can grow up more than 10x in future.

Ethereum.you can invest your $500 in ethereum, The price of ethereum is now only $279.34 its good price to made investment. You can also buy some lite coin now. lite coin price is also low and it has huge demand that I believe.Pundi x and Dent coin have also huge demand and they already started to pump.for long-term investment those coins are also good.
i think NEO would be better,
500$ invest to NEO at 16$/NEO. and wait till end of this year to get profit! 
At first you shouldn't invest your money in ICO, so many Scam project. You want to be safe and you should select top best coin. This coin chance to huge pump and plus point is you are long term investor
