Achieve 80% ICO fraud according to me it's not true. In fact, there are still many people who believe in the ICO. New investors and a lot of that goes to profit and the result is that a lot of their profit. With so many new ICO project made us a choice and we have to be absolutely in the best decision to create us.

I think so. We can be cheaten by others if we are not careful enough. We need to make enough research while we do the the investment. The more careful we are, the better we will be. Just do the right thing.

Well, firstly, not 80% and less. Secondly, if it was as much as you said here now would not have been half the people who are present here. Third, some ICO projects are reborn again and try to restore the missed chance to become successful.

I've seen a lot of people asking about how many legit ICOs there are, so I thought I'd share

Quote from the article: "The study begins by breaking down ICOs into 6 groups: Scam, Failed, Gone Dead, Dwindling, Promising, Successful. “On the basis of the above classification,” they wrote, “we found that approximately 81% of ICO’s were Scams, ~6% Failed, ~5% had Gone Dead, and ~8% went on to trade on a exchange.”

"Scams were defined by researchers as “Any project that expressed availability of [an] ICO investment (through a website publishing, ANN thread, or social media posting with a contribution address), did not have/had no intention of fulfilling project development duties with the funds, and/or was deemed by the community (message boards, website or other online information) to be a scam.”

DYOR people ...
I do not really believe that 80% are scams, may be about 30-40% a real scam .other will at least to try do what they promised

I definitely agree with that 80% ICO is really a scam and I'm not investing in ICO anymore. Audits develops a lot of altcoin will be destroyed. That's why we need to invest in ethereum and bitcoin.

So many ICOs these days are just scams. They are just trying to take money off of investors by disguising the scam in cryptocurrencies.  Be alert!

I see some ico that scam and token they launched so worthless in the market but I think the percentage is not that big because there are still a lot of ico that succeed and people still believe to follow it because it's already a lot also that succeed with ico.

People who continue to invest in ICO should be extremely cautious. As practice shows, most of the projects that are on the market do not lead to success. There is no reason to suppose that this will change. As long as the ICO system exists, this will continue.

Who knows it will decrease  soon and I'm hoping.

I think you are mistaken.  Now there are much fewer scams of projects.  Now there are a lot of unsuccessful projects.

My advice to you is not to participate in the ICO. If you are not 100% sure that this project is not scammers. Better buy coins after entering the stock exchanges
There are projects in which you can invest but they need to be carefully selected, and a long time to study. But today it is more profitable to buy coins on the exchange at a price lower than the ICO.

I assume 80% is still a very good number!
ICOs are very risky, but very profitable.
but look at them from ICO to when they're listed on some exchanges.
most of them are 50% off in USD pairs. doesn't need to scam, we still lose money when invest. kind of disappointed.

It's true. I think that the sunset of ICO is beginning, something really unique is already practically offered, but the technology is slowly gaining strength. Plus, investors are becoming more legible. the number of scams and fraudulent schemes in the ICO grows in arithmetic progression, so clearly ICO-industry needs a competent regulatory mechanism, and what will come with it, time will tell.

This is a huge problem because it's hard to choose a real project. Even very promising can turn out to be a scam, but if you study the project in which you are going to participate in detail, you can make good money, I think that it is necessary to allocate a lot of time for the analysis of the project.

therefore we must be careful if we want to buy an investment in ICO project, maybe this sounds like gambling, but so it is now, it is difficult to determine which ICO project will succeed and compete to enter the market of cryptocurrency

You can invest into ICO which will multiply your investment or you will invest into ICO which die and you will lose your money. Every investment is risky but I won't say 80% are scam?
I think it's silly to think that 80% of the scammers. Among them, after all, there may be other projects that got there by mistake. And who decides which project is a crook, and what is just bad.

80% is too much, because this is about 40% at the forum, it's really a fact, now there are a lot of sites with statistics of this benches, but even such statics can not exactly guarantee the normal life of crypto, why people are so greedy?

I think that now this is a big problem for the Ether! The loss of investor confidence significantly limits the price increase!
