Unfortunately the last time it has become this way. now, airdrops are used to easily create spam databases. I think this method of promoting the coin showed itself not on the best side.

You are absolutely right. Now airdrops are more interested of collecting information about the participants, than distributing coins or promoting the project.

I only participated once in the landing. And then me on time and the entire sum is accrued. However, I could not use them, as the conditions of the exchange did not allow.  I realized that airdrop is for those who make referral links.  There are special organizations that offer others to follow the link, they get a big profit.

So why spend time on them? Just because everyone is fascinated by the idea of getting something for free? Then I'll disappoint you: airdrop is not "free" tokens.

Only the airdrops that request donations are scams. Most of the airdrops for their tokens are worthless, but you can't think of them as scams.

Of course 99% of airdrop is a scam. Crypto currency is very popular at the moment and scammers have appeared in tens times more in comparison with last year. Of 50 airdrop in which you will participate, you will receive about 10. But why worry, you do not invest your money, it is free of charge and on a voluntary basis

You are actually right, this is one of the major ways they use to scam people of their coins through donations. Although, very few are legit, majority are just there to make the developers rich quickly which i think it's not good for coins generally. Only if there is a stringent rule which can help curb all these scammers

The title of this thread is bit provocative, but the fact is that most people have a bad experience with airdrops. According to several airdrop hunters I spoke to, the majority ICOs don't pay out at all.

What's your experience with airdrops? Did you get scammed most of the times?
2018 has a lot of ICO and I think Airdrop is what helps them promote their ICO for free. After too many people sign up and invest, they will never pay us a free Airdrop coin

For sure, no serious project will spend time on foolish airdrops.
It`s just a characteristics of poor and unhopefull projects, trying to receive attention.
For me, airdrop is diagnose of poor project..

No, this is only 2018 current condition. If I compare with last year (2017) there are many legit airdrops. Like BLUE, ELTCOIN, EREAL, BITWHITE, REBL, and many more. So, I can say 2018 is the worst time for airdrop. I think the last Airdrop which gives good token was POLYMATH.
I do not think POLYMATH is the best token I get. Hydrogen's Hydrogen is the best token I have ever received. Today, I owned 222,222 Hydrogen Tokens and the amount I received was $ 1k

I completely agree.  A couple of times I tried to participate in airdrops and do not want to do it again.

I do not see any reason to waste time on airdrops.  I advise you to take part in the bounty.  It's more profitable.

Really, the bulk is fraud. Do not waste your time on this. I had my own experience in 2017. Out of 100% of companies, tokens sent 3-5%. Of these tokens now traded on the stock exchange only 2. Draw conclusions themselves.

Not all of airdrop is scam. The fact, we just get little amount of tokens if we dont have many referral. Mostly the airdrop force us to find referrals as many as we can. Especially who want to invest in their ICO. That's the hard point to do, persuade people to invest there which mostly didn't have good roadmap or whitepaper. The best way that we can do is join the airdrop which also have bounty campaign on it. So we can get extra token by joining both of them. And not waste our time.

Absolutely agree. 6 out of 10 airdrops do not come on the wallet, and only 10% of them will cost something. Each of us can decide for yourself whether to do it. The probability to make good money is always there.

I am even tempted to say a hundred percent of airdrops are scams. You would do better investing the time that you put into signing up for airdrops, into signing up for a signature campaign and devoting your time to making the required post counts weekly. I have never gotten paid by the airdrops I have participated in but I have always been paid by the signature campaigns.

I have applied for about 100 airdrops this year, of which 25 tokens have been  distributed and some are still being processed. Of the tokens I have recieved, about half are tradable. I think at least 25% that I have applied for will not pay though.
