I know that feeling. Well, I've come to the conclusion that such a premonition is just an illusion. There has never been a time when this premonition justified itself. Winnings, and especially large ones, always occurred completely unexpectedly. So the illusion that there will be a win now is deceptive, you should not trust this feeling.

And isn't a premonition the same as that? There is also no assurance that it will happen. We that are gambling for a long time have already experienced the OP had experienced there and I bet we still do it sometimes if we haven't quit on gambling but that is better than if we didn't learn or if we keep on doing it at all times.

Besides, there are still times that our premonition about this is true and that is we really win on that xx-xxx... deposit but we must be grateful about that and it's better to not do it again next time as that can be like our close call already. Larger wins are harder to find and some of us don't expect anymore to hit them and when they hit it, this is the time that they can say that larger wins can come unexpectedly. If it was only a regular/small win, it can still occur much often. So, having that kind of feeling is likely true and not deceptive.

We can trust it if that is only what we are after and the rest are mostly for the fun part because a small win might not make us happy but that is okay and not something that can disappoint us to continue even longer and try to increase it or we will also increase our betting size this time because we know what can usually happen next after it.

I guess that feeling is unavoidable. The point is how further you are feeding this feeling inside yourself. Personally, as soon as I start having dangerous thoughts like that I force myself to fight against them, so I immediately stop gambling, even though there is a strong inclination inside me urging for further bets. I'm not saying it's easy to do, but that is what must be done, so you won't have anything to regret later because you acted responsibly in the present moment.

And as you practice that kind of decision, you will see it ends becoming easier to do within time each new situation you have to retreat in order to protect your finances. Sometimes to have someone nearby who you can talk with about your urge for gambling is also very helpful to mitigate the desire and calm down the impulses.

Well, pursuing profit in gambling come in different ways, and what makes it wrong has to depend on how a gambler choose to go about his or her own pursuit for profit.

It's all about chasing losses which can either lead to hitting the winning or losing more but the more reason why we should totally avoid chasing loses is due to the condition we might find ourselves if the winning doesn't come in the end. Imagine if the money you kept depositing was an amount you kept for other things and you end up losing all to gambling do you know how sad you will feel. Gambling doesn't end so when we play with a budget amount and loses we should just accept it with good faith. Sometimes the feelings of multiple attempts leading to winning is what deceives most gamblers but if they can endure a loss and walk away it will rather be better then even if they're to continue it shouldn't be that same day anymore.

A friend of mine that plays crash games had a terrible run for over two days. I asked him why he was still consistent despite the fact that he was losing his response was.."The only way to win is by staying in the game". I do get such feelings but I don't obey it because I know it's such inner voices that convince one to keep gambling for the hope of recovering their losses and anyone that obeys that feelings will end up losing more. Only a very few people have been able to luckily recover their losses like that.

In addition every new round looks more real than the previous one with very good potentials of fetching you a win until it comes out as a loss again and you regret your actions. We often make those mistakes of brain-calculating the possibilities of hitting the next win with the next gamble and FOMO gets us believing that the win we need is just by the corner.

These are just us playing ourselves and filling our minds with very false hopes which still gets us back to the unique gambling rules that nothing is assured and every gambling activity is subject to pure luck. Also events like these are good to happen to us sometimes so we can convince ourselves that gambling in moderation and staking amounts that we can afford to lose is the undefeatable golden rule that protects us in gambling and not some random patterns in our head.

That's right and I would possibly follow that. But, there's always this urge that makes us deposit more and I won't blame gamblers who do this. Why? Because when you are at that moment it's rage that's circulating in your blood and all you want is to get your money back as soon as possible. Trust me, I have been in this position many times and I can say it's the wrong thing to do because we are hating something that doesn't have a feeling. An algorithm, a system, an AI, or whatever an online casino is using to prevent us from winning.

it always happen especially if you really want to take back your losses and also you still have a capital to gamble, or let say a money to spare that for you can't hurt you no matter what happens. So that is why you are still positive despite of the situation. But of course afterwards you will realize how dumb you are spending too much on a gambing which is a game of luck ,instead of using it for your daily needs. Lol

And tbh ive been there on that kind of such situation so many times and i still blaming my self for all my stupid decisions on gambling. Grin

It's illusional you meant to say? Well, you are right though, like when I started gambling anew, specially in slot and casino in-house games, I used to think or believe (rather) that every spin lost in a roll increases my chances of winning the next spin, and this believe made me waste alot if money back then, since that made me always live with that mentality that I am very close to winning since I've been losing for a while, and if after a certain time frame, I hadnt won, I begin to have the feeling that the casino is cheating me, that they are purposely holding back my win for them to collect more money from me.

But after some time, possibly a year after, Iearnt that losing does not increase ones chances of winning in any way, this knowledge change my perspective in gambling for ever.

Lol 😂, I am laughing really hard even as I type this comment, and that is because, I've had this very same experience a couple of times, not once or twice actually, but multiple times, and it's actually very painful, but at the same time ; very funny..

Painful in the sense that you loose a lot of money in this process, makes one fill his or her mind with regrets, wishing had he or she known, he or she would have just walked away after losing all of that first deposit.

But on the other hand, funny in the sense that, at the very beginning, you are eager and very optimistic, feeling like if you give up at that time, you will not only lose the huge winnings on the way coming, but you will also finally for real, lose all the money you've lost from the beginning of this whole process..
This optimism keeps the gambler going, feeling every fresh deposit after losing all the previous ones is worth the big win coming, but as time goes on, this optimism begins to die off, and by the end, the gambler may still feel that the big win is coming, but it's no longer worth another fresh deposit 🤣, at this points, regrets sets in.. Gambling can sometimes be really stressful.
