Here is an interesting thought. I imagine the A4 to be using the new raspberry pi's? The old model A/B with 26 GPIO pins are so hard to get nowadays.

Reason why I ask is that my model A has broken down but I have like 3 B+'s lying around but the GPIO pins don't match. 26 v 40. Has anyone tried modifying a B+ to work with an A2?

You can do your own adapter (with pin 2 pin wires to use the necessary pins...)

I've already communicated shipping 6 units to Cryptoboreas and notified Chloe that is my shipping destination. Not sure how we piggyback other units but I'm sure it's possible.

anyone buying and sending to Canada?

My ISP is in Canada.

I plan to buy just 1 unit first.

Hi, what isp you have? cryptoboreas?

Yes.

How many do you plan to purchase?

If the order is delivered directly to Alan, i could buy one  Wink

I believe it can be arranged - as per Chloe, they can send directly to ISP of our choice.

If so, we can get Alan to be the central contact person as long as it minimum 5 units (ie. no need group buy).

Anyhow, still waiting for a realistic video of an actual full-sized miner, with details on power configuration and such.

Thats whats worrying me as well. taken from the Inno website:

Update on July 1st:

World Most Profitable A4 Dominator Miner is coming soon! Early batch goes fast with best efficiency ever and very limited quantity, and who are the lucky ones to get the access to the first batch will, with no doubt, enjoy the early gain before anybody else, that means big profit.

Pre-order price: 1800 USD per unit plus shipping fee, 5 units to start

Estimated delivery time: Starts from August and max delay is one month.

If Inno is going to ship them latest september (which i doubt) one could expect them to have at least 1 miner they could show to the public......nobody else wondering about this?

Yes it is an issue as to why they don't have a working A4 to demo. Apparently they are working on something but who knows. Hope for the best but expect the worst.

I got an email from signing up for newsletter at Innosilicon and they are at a tradeshow -- if anyone happen to be nearby -- can ask them for more info on a working A4

Anyone in the metro Phoenix,AZ area I ordered 5, but may be able to tag on additional units.

Sweet!  Thanks for letting people know and offering to help people in your area usao.  Decided to get wild and order 5 of them?!  Grin

Yea, it was based on the info I got from Chloe about less than 5 requiring waiting for additional orders.
Got the order placed on July 5th, but I think I can request additional units be added without delaying the order.
Anyhow, that's 5KW, and I have 10KW available on my mining circuit, so should be good to go.

So, anyone from central EU willing to chip in?
I willing to drive to Germany/Austria/Italy/Slovenia/Croatia/Hungary to pick up the unit.

Put me down for 1 for sure and maybe 2, im living in germany and we could pickup the units together....im sure we can work that part out.

So I would suggest you pick a leader to coordinate your group buy for the EU and get a shipping point arranged.  That is how we are doing it for our US group buy order.

It would be a good idea to pick a member you trust to receive the miners and handle the customs, and secondary shipping if needed.  This person will receive the shipment from Inno, and then coordinate the shipment or pickup at their location and will communicate those costs and any customs that will have to be paid.

Also please do not forget these folks who are volunteering to help us that are trusted members of this community.  Please remember to tip them for their help as they are doing us a huge favor.  We couldn't do something like this without a certain degree of trust and people willing to take time out of their own busy schedules to help with this.  Thank you Searing for helping us with the US group buy!

Interesting, even though I told her I was with the group by, she told me 5 units.

Quote from Chloe:
If you buy only 3, then I’ll have to wait for somebody else from the group to place an order of at least 3 units, since you are the first one to claim that you are from the group buy.

I suppose I could be reading that wrong, but she required at least 5 units to a single address.

If you want to jump in with our group buy order PM me and I can get you the details and I can let Chloe know to expect an additional order.

I know several people have expressed interest in this thread.  You might try PMing them to see if they might still be interested or if they have something already going that you can tailgate on their order.  Just a thought.
