They muted me for three days for asking if people remember "Cold Fusion" that became so "promising" in 1989  Grin  I trully think that those snippets of infor from GPUHoarder are just becoming funny and those two support people are like mushrooms

They muted me there as well  Mods there are easily triggered now.

Their efforts to put something out to back their website claims is looking more and more like a joke with each new passing week.

I have been showing my co-worker who's into cryptocurrency mining the ridiculous of SQRL research, he wisely gone the used Z9 mini route and I stupidly went with these overpriced crash easy 215+ acorns.  I had no idea going FPGA over ASIC would turn into such a tremendous flop.
"easily triggered" I've looked at your recent post history on discord and was wondering why no one muted you before. It's only temporary and the goal is to see individuals who are unmuted to return back to less "troll" discussions in the hardware channels.

Ever since we became stricter on muting trolls who have no intention of actually contributing to any discussion, more productive talk has happened in discord and less shit is posted every day in the wrong channels. People that were given a time out have come back to the discussion less toxic or resolved their issues in PMs. It's not an objective of mine to mute people who have negative things to say against SQRL or any company, criticize them all you want but there is a line that needs to be drawn for some people who take it too far.
Could it be because I hardly post on your FPGA discord since sensing you becoming extremely triggered.

Like the time you bitched down my back for posting a non-offensive gif image and tried to make a big deal out of it.

So spare us your damage control.

The only thing we want here is that company you work for to produce what they claim 8 months ago was achievable.
Silencing out the customers for statements or snarky reactions to your company's incompetence and failure to produce anything viable is a reflection on YOU and SQRL not the customer.

I don't bother posting on the discord anymore.

I have to thank mfurman for breaking balls months ago as it saved me around 800 usd.

FOMO is hard to overcome. I’m glad your starting to come around.  A little anyway. It still takes other users to steer you clear.  Why don’t you Start asking the hard questions.  Quit worrying about whether it will tarnish your rep.  I’m here for answers.  If this is truly going to be the worlds means of transactions then people need to take this shit serious.  Stop tip toeing around the questions that an honest person would have no issues or hesitation to answer.  This world is going to shit because too many worry about how this will effect my income vs doing the right thing.  There is A final destination for those with this way of thinking.

Wrong, you were muted for being off topic again, after being asked to stop posting in the wrong channel. Let's not try to play the victim here.

Cold Fusion was very much on topic, if you remember what it was all about. I also asked about boondoggle  Cheesy

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?

I don't get it why anyone is even willing to pay that $55 and get 215+ when the miner isn't even out, yet
Let the sw come out and then do the upgrade? What's the hurry?

well IF the software ever arrives i would like to have the replacement already in hand to run on day one of the release.

dunno how long this whole 101 swapout thing will take (days? weeks?) but if i had a lot of (or perhaps only) 101s i sure wouldnt be happy that everyone else is mining away while my 101s sit around till the swap finishes.

so i am glad the swap came 1st.

worse comes to worse now ill have three matching paperweights instead of two 215+s and an oddball 101.

Oh so you're Esme squalor, maybe you shouldn't go around trolling with fake dates.

You are aware that a z9 mini at 13cents /kw profits at 17 cents a day right? They launched at $2,000 when new.

They run at around $500 with PSU, that's obviously used to hell and back.

You can easily get two 215+ that bring it 3 cents a day profit each for that cost. That's 6 cents vs the 17 cents profit. Now here the thing though, those 215+ will have different bitstreams come out and buy July won't literally be sold for parts, the z9 not so much.

Believe it or not you're in a better position than you're buddy.

Please do not forget that first batch Z9 mini was released in June and therefore has already ROI'ed. The Z9 minis from the second batch were ~$600 for me. My elctricity cost is ~7c/kWh and Z9  ASICs are still earning more for me than any GPUs (Grin mining on RTX2070 was for a short time more profitable)

options were $15 for a 215, $35 to a 215+. add $20 for shipping. and they will be cross shipped.
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice...  they should be upgrading for free.  ESP after the launch this company had.  Typical of crypto tho.   Now trying to save face because they knew the original device wouldn’t do what they purported them to do.  All theory.  They basically did sell you a paper weight.  They then used that money to build them the real product.  Aren’t we all tired of being made out as suckers yet???

Br

i hear ya. but ive got around a grand tied up in acorms and nests, so whats an extra $55.

sure i think this is wrong on one level, the 101 upgrade should be free. and i thought there was going to be a special 215 model that the 101 could trade to. speced out somewhat under a standard 215.

i would have done it like so:

101 to "special edition" 215 - free, including free shipping.
101 to 215 and 215plus - ok add a bit for trades like that.

i think they (they = someone i have no remembrance of who or if they are connected to sqrl) said those who keep the 101s may have some sort of special, one time support algo boost on something but no later updates for it.

but again i just see bits and pieces from discord so take all that i say with a grain of salt.

once i have the upgraded part ill post.

and sure this reeks of some sort of exit strategy. but at least this is much more classy. for whats THATs worth.

Yes it’s very wrong. At the very least for squirrel to gain some trust back they should ship upgrades for free to all customers.  Then send the customers bills and wait for payment.  If they don’t get paid well that’s punishment for bad design and execution.  As it is now only customers are feeling the pain.  And they continue to try to bleed you out.  Fuck them for being so full of themselves.  Excuse my French

not yet.

been rumors that the miner wont be out till the 101 tradein program is done. there were other rumors that the miner will be released, then the 101 trade in.

but seems the trade in is happening now, before the miner. i have my email from them, i elected to trade my 101 for a 215+

options were $15 for a 215, $35 to a 215+. add $20 for shipping. and they will be cross shipped.

haven't paid yet, just verified shipping addy and phone number.

strike that i now have an invoice and order number. they will give the payment addy later today.

I hear this company is preparing for a nice soft launch of their miner on April 1st.
That's a meme, don't spread it, if are lucky it would be that early.
Do you know what a April fools joke is?

Yes, I think I am one of the thousands of fools who got suckered in by SQRL and their FPGA hype. The only use I get out of my acorn is as an expensive paperweight.
sorry for your loss.

I think I will run a promo for all the acorn victims.
