Empathy is lacking in this thread - swap shoes with Ken, then consider how you'd react to the vitriol flooding in from a minority of investors and non-investors who completely drown out the rest of us.
... by providing detailed updates. Or at least close to it. He never mentions what kind of delay, or even what the estimated setback in time would be. They just edit the webpage and remove shipping information and say the word delay. I would love to see why people put so much faith into the sporadic and general details that are given out as it is. His linkedin profile is a joke for a CEO of 3 companies. 2 being get rich quick schemes.
Detailed, consistent updates are definitely the way to go. If you don't want scam accusations, if you don't want people hounding you down, and if you don't want people getting authorities involved then the best idea is to communicate all delays and changes to the plan as soon as possible to the people who have invested in you. Gathering money from people and then going AWOL from the only form of communication with these people for entire weeks at a time is not a good way to instill trust or confidence.
The reason we beg for pictures is because Ken isn't being detailed enough with his words. If he told us exactly where were at with miners we wouldn't scream for pictures. The reason we scream for shares is because he haven't been given an update about them for almost three weeks. We can understand that he has a lot on his plate. We're not asking him to work even harder if he is already at the edge, but I don't understand why it is wrong to expect someone to devote 10 minutes a day to this thread with a quick update when we hit a roadblock, make some progress, change plans, have new estimates. I personally don't think that is too much to ask. But that is just my very humble opinion.
Just some examples of what we would like to see instead of what we are seeing.
"We are working on xxxx." <<< "Expect xxxx to be done in 10 days at this rate."
or
"We have devoted 100% of our manpower to yyyy." <<< "As you know we started yyyy, #### of days ago and we are now about 50% of the way there."
or
"There was a delay with the chips." <<< "We have experienced an issue with zzzz part of the chips and have been informed that this will set us back #### of days."
Now these types of updates don't give us the full picture and could be ballparks and estimates, but they would allow for a lot of the speculation on this thread to be grounded in some form of reality and allow investors to be able to make smarter decisions. It will hinder the trolls from stirring up issues which will in turn slow down the howling and bickering that is on this forum and stop scaring away customers.
EDIT: I just only hope Ken will understand this. There is no decent reason to hide information (except for specific secrets such as how exactly Intelihash works) from us as this is merely a "Get to the market as soon as possible" endeavor.
