Have you by chance senn this stat in anyway ? If hard way is the best way, then I do think Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal will eventually emerge as Fifa World Cup winners. They have what it takes at attacking, midfied ad also defending.

Considering that Manchester united/Real Madrid has more fans in Nigeria than PSG/Barcelona, I'm not surprised seeing many people wanting Portugal to win just for Ronaldo's seek. I'm a big fans as well but sometimes I like to look at reality. Those scenario you posted don't always play out as they illustrate and they're usually fan boys just wishing for same outcome as illustrated. Well irrespective of how the world cup would end, all I want to watch is good football so let the best man win and hopefully that's Senegal.

In other news, the Nigeria football federation can't just stop embarrassing themselves, just imagine the kind of news I came around;  NFF Tells Super Eagles Coach - Hold Sunday Dare Responsible For Your Unpaid Salaries

Lets be sincere, considering the form of the two Goats (Messi and Ronaldo) and also the form of their respective countries (Argentina and Portugal) do you think Portugal stand a chance of winning the world cup when teams like Brazil are also in form. Understandable since this might probably be the last time we see both goat at a world cup tournament, football fans are wishing for a final between both country but I doubt that'll likely happen. It'll just be a fairy tale which might end the debate of who is the real goat if both country should meet at the world cup final but we can only dream of such turnout of event.

Yeah, Argentina National Team is doing super cool but I'm not even considering them as a major threat, the Brazilian side's are more of a better threat to any other countries the internet and media must have hyped. I'll still stand on my ground. Cristiano Ronaldo for the Fifa World Cup.

Nigeria vs Columbia: FIFA U-17 women's semi-finals world cup

I don't why Nigeria's coach have to change her goalkeeper to put in another goalkeeper that is too stiff to dive a ball. Am blaming the penalty lost on the goalkeeper, it's like we don't have any goalkeeper keeping the ball for us. What a terrible goal lost to a penalty when we were supposed to win by 5th take

You do not need to blame the loss on the goalie. Those young lass played their asses off. They fought hard till the end. Obviously the goalie need to improve but then you must give her some credit. Hopefully, they come home with a third place win. I want to see these girls go on to play in top clubs in the world and be stars like Agba Baller' Oshoala who is our star girl doing wonderful things in Barca.
The players were downcast throughout the shutout, with no single motivation. They were all praying including the coach as if God will come down to play for them(instead of staying at the touchline and clapping when necessary)
It's apparent from the player's countenance, they have no single passion and hunger in them but only rely on luck.
Good luck to them next time.

Full Time Cristiano Ronaldo's fan, I'm not sleeping on my prediction, I'm backing the 🐐 to win the World Cup at Qater.

This is why I hate praising our players be it the girls national team or that of the guys because they disappoint when we do this. It seems like it gets to their head and they begin to feel themselves. Why give us high hopes if you aren't going to deliver. Same thing the super eagle did at the just concluded AFCON tournament and the Falcons did at their tournament as well and now this, very disappointing.

Most Nigerians I've come across down my ends are big supporters of Sadio Mane and the Senegalese National Team in the FIFA World Cup. They have a good chance to make the second spot. It's also a good thing to see that, Koullibaly of Chelsea hasn't been over worked, he should maintain full fitness for the World Cup. Keeping the Dutch side at the top, they should follow suit. It'll be tough for the Black Star's to come out of that group and even if they did it'll be considered a miracle, Portugal will top this, followed by either of Uruguayan National Team with Valverde in a good goal scoring form.

I have notice that it's not only Nigerians that are supporting Senegal but all most all Africans except North Africans and the rest of African countries in the world Cup. Its not superising considering how they performed in the last Afcon. They also have the squad to compete because almost all their players are regulars/starters in top European teams. Been ranked 18th in the world is also an accolade for them although to me it is still bias to rate them 18th they should be high up than that. I just hope they do us proud

I am also a big man of Ronaldo I fancy him to win but I prefer Senegal because Africa comes first. If theres any team I want been knocked out early its Argentina

Well, if I am to be sincere. I don't see any African country qualifying out of their group stage. Have you tried to compare and contrast the tough countries they are playing against in their group stage? Countries like Portugal, France, Brazil, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

We do have one hope, two teams qualifies from each group, now take a look at the group A nations, Senegal has a shot at coming out second over Qatar and Ecuador. Only the Netherlands can comfortably defeat Senegal while Senegal will comfortably defeat the rest nations. Senegal shoudn't be underated as they're one of the best performing nation in the world cup from Africa. In 2002, they joined the like of Cameroon to become of of the few African team to progress to the quarter finals They were the first nation to be eliminated from the tournament through fair play which if that wasn't available at the 2018 tournament, who knows where they would have ended.

Ghana has also reached the quarter finals in 2010 but we can't hope on them this year most especially as they're in a tough group with power house such as Portugal (Ronaldo isn't letting any of those team spoil his chances of topping the group) and Uruguay that cause them a chance at playing at the semi finals in 2010 with the famous Luis Suarez’s handball.

it looks like most punters and football fans around the world believe Morocco, Tunisia and Ghana are the weaklings of the group, but they have no idea whats coming! Football is not won based on statistics and alike, you have to prove yourself on the pitch and by the way, all these teams labelled as underdogs have players playing in the top leagues of football around the world which should give you an idea of the calibre of players their opponents will be facing!

Women U17 World Cup

Nigerian Super Flamingos won USA. Nigeria 1-1 USA. Nigeria now has qualified for the Semi final of the world cup that is going on. But they still played 5:5 penalties which made Nigeria to win the game. In the penalties Nigeria scored 4 while USA scored 3.
Nigeria's U17 both male are female are the ones that do make Nigeria proud more than the Super Eagles. Congrats to the Flamingos for their wonderful victory. It is not an easy one

But there's no lie there, also when you consider the groups this nations are playing in and how poor African teams has been in the world cup stage, you just have to consider them the weakest. Teams like Senegal has more international players than those you mentioned and that reflected in their dominance in the domestic competition as the AFCON that they just won. Ghana doesn't even deserve to be playing in the competition and that's not because they defeated my country to get their but they don't look prepared. Did you watch their game against Brazil, Brazil disgrace them and even if it was just a friendly, it was still embarrassing.

Ghana have to face Uruguay and Portugal, can you confidently tell us if they can win any of those game or even get a draw. They also have to face South Korea which you might think they got a chance at winning but South Korea also know their best chance of getting a qualification from the group is winning Ghana and they can do that with players like Son Heung-min then play for a draws in other games or somehow win Uruguay.

African countries are not going to find it easy to qualify from the group stage. Alot of them will result to prayers instead of practising harder to beat their opponents on the pitch. Am sure Nigeria would have been in Group C if that we qualified. There is something with Nigeria and Argentina to be in the same group at world stage in football. For the group, Morocco, Tunisia and Ghana all seem like they will not make it to the knockout stage. They are in the group of death.

Congratulations to our young ladies, when it comes to women football, I'm never in doubt of our ladies always delivering for the country but our male footballers are just full of themselves that they hardly put in enough effort to play for the country. They're just for their clubs as they're the ones feeding them meanwhile our ladies play with all their energy and smile, yet they don't have as much funding as the male team. I saw how the Flamingoes were passionate about winning the game and just hope they can make it to the finals and bring home the medals.

I'm thinking Nigeria government and private sectors in the country should invest more in the women team, as in coming years, the woman football will be as big as their male counterparts and If Nigeria can be dominating that worldwide then it'll be phenomenon. We have to start winning world cups with the senior women team and not just dominating WAFCON.

Nigerian are into the semi-finals of the U17 Women's World Cup. I am impressed with the girls on both sides. They fought real hard. Despite moving on to the next stage, i just want to point out that the first penalty against the US should not have been a penalty. It was outside the box. There should be no penalty for a toe inside the box. Moreover, the Nigerian player was unable to control the ball after the ball was already tipped. Anyways congratulations to them. Looking forward to their next games against Colombia.
A well deserved triumph onto the next stage indeed. No matter the case of the penalty awarded, what mattered,, in the end, is the success of the qualification onto the next round, with hopes held high to seeing them win against Colombia. The nation needs such wins in a time as these when flood is almost crippling balling activities. Our women soccer players have proven to be more consistent than the males in recent tournaments, I wonder if the men are abandoning the winning ways for money ways only.

Mane may not be recognised in the way he should,  but the truth is that we the fans knows who Mane is, how he has contributed to every team he has been. We all know Mane talent is raw and good. Even if what he was award is not the best for him. I still congratulate him for the award, it is not easy.

I was happy when he was leaving Liverpool but not happy with the club he went to. Liverpool underated Mane and were the causes of his problem of not been put forward as a world star, the attention was always on Mo Salah even when it was clear Mane was the better of the duo even though Mo Salah was the goal scorer but before there is a goal scorer, it means the players behind him are putting on some impressive display to create such chances for him to score.

Mane would had opted to go to La Liga, that club he went to isn't taken as a serious club. I don't even think there has been a Ballon d'or winners in that club history or probably Mane would had stay in premier league to him any of the big six win the premier league and the champions league then there wouldn't be anyone against clowning him the best player in the world as his influence would be felt in any premier league top side he plays in.
Liverpool lost a rare gem, his type will never be seen in the epl again imo. I was also happy for Mane when he left Liverpool because of the poor treatments he was getting from the club. He did most of the job and goal contributions and other were taking all the credit and get the huge wages. Bayern Munich was good choice for Mane, Bayern Munich are a good side with great history so in my opinion it was a good move too.

Even though that Benzema is considered a French guy but he has Algerian = African origins. When he won Ballon d'Or, it is France that won it but I assume if he lost it, it would be the Algerian or Real Madrid player wasn't successful to grab it Roll Eyes
Anyway, Benzema deserved it. Lewandowski deserve it. Mane and Salah deserve it. They cannot split it between them, but guess which player was successful to win many trophies past season and was actively helping to achieve that? Benzema..
If Liverpool won EPL and CL, it will be Salah or Mane for sure. If Bayern won CL, Lewandowski will be the one. AFAIK, that's the reason that push everyone to support Benzema rather than the others.

Thank You for further clarity, that was team work and also some level of individual performance from the Ballon d'or award winner Karim Benzema, no shades and arguments, he really deserves that award. I would also love to see Robert Lewandoski winning the Ballon d'or soon he has been robbed two ways ago, I hope he gets one to be the first polish player to ever win the Ballon d'or. ( Just as how, Karim Benzema would have been the first Arabian to win ).

Knowing how they treat Africans, expect some things like this and you won't get angry anymore. We should start facing ours doing for ourselves to avoid all of this biased comparisons and award's. I'd further support Sadio Mane and Senegalese National team in the Fifa World Cup which kicks off 12 November.

We are all aware of the racial discrimination against Africans when it comes to not only Ballon d'Or but in other awards. It would be wrong to believe that from 1995 when George Weah of Liberia won the FIFA World Best Player award to date no other African has merited the award. Many African players have been qualified to win this award but they have been denied because they are Africans. It might be possible that even African players and coaches might not vote for African players for the awards. Sadio Mané had a very great season last year but everybody knows that Karim Benzema deserves the award. He was exceptionally good last season.

Robert Lewandowski for me deserved to win it last year but somehow Lionel Messi miraculously clinched the award he is doing well this season and might clinch it. But I think the winner this year would be largely determined by the world cup performance of players.

Sadio Mane is a very brilliant footballer. He is string and intelligent in football. He is an idol of Africa, while looking at him, You'll see the typical Africa man in him. Very loving and a born philanthropist. You will have no reason not to love that him, especially if you are an African.
He was able to reach second position even when he was not the main man in Liverpool.

But Tbh, He was not robbed in the Ballon d'or.
Benzema was a bit ahead in individual performance.
If you can remember with me, Real Madrid was not a top contender for the Champions League. But Benzema magical arts brought Real Madrid back into the competition even when they were almost eliminated by PSG. He did the same wonders against Chelsea and against Manchester City. Only that three consecutive matches in the champions league is already due to give him the award. He was the Liga winner and top scorer and also the Champions League winner.
