Egyptian are getting angry from Egypt performance so far in this competition and they are calling for the coach and the federation to be sacked! It isn't acceptable for them to see their team failing vs Ethiopia for several reasons Wink

I think it's time he take a look at Noble, he's currently the best GK in our local league, he was part of the team that went to AFCON BTW, today's game result means a lot; seeing the boys come back from a goal down to win was incredible.

I still don't understand why the previous coaches didn't use Nobel as the number one choice. He's arguably the best among them all or is it still the agenda of playing aboard based players that's causing all this. I believe the NFF were interfering in the previous coaches team selection because the selection were just awful which caused us our games. We truely need to get the home based players involve as this foreign players aren't always reliable. Today Egypt lost and Mo Salah wasn't available.

I doubt they would had lost if Mo Salah was playing. The both goals were scored in the first half which gave room for 45 minutes of normal play plus extra time for Salah to have an impact as he always does unless he's playing against Senegal. Egypt would definitely bounce back as they're always favorite to qualify for the AFCON every now and then.

It's full time, the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeats Sierra Leone 2-1. It's fall three points in the bag. There is a lot of improvement since their previous two games which they played poorly. I think the new coach, Peseiro should do more to improve the team. Peseiro was impressive today, he was very active in today's game. I think what he did in Ecuador and Mexico match, he was just testing the waters. I think there is prospect in Peseiro.

Really expected a much easier win for Nigeria they conceded an early goal but for their sake they scored right after that. They got the win in the end somehow. Also Egypt lost to a really weak opponent and that is shocking this cannot happen in the future for them at all

The opponents are know for disturbing Nigeria at times.
Good response from Alex Iwobi to keep Nigeria back in the game.
And a great goal from the Napoli super star, Victor Oshime to keep Nigeria ahead in the game.
Good defending in the second half but errors should be identified, we shouldn't settle for less.

In his first three games, we saw some tactical play in our game, unlike the super eagle we know, we were arguably the best team in those games, I would like him to integrate some of our home-based players into the team, we are still struggling with our GK, our first and second choice has been awful, I think it's time he take a look at Noble, he's currently the best GK in our local league, he was part of the team that went to AFCON BTW, today's game result means a lot; seeing the boys come back from a goal down to win was incredible.

It's a good step forward starting with a win at a qualifiers.. but going a goal down at home is not encouraging.. I think we should improve defensively and balance the midfield..
Our goalkeeping department needs to be focused on too.. because from Afcon 2019 to this year's world cup qualification heartbreak in the hands of the black cats of Ghana our goal keeping department played a major role in all the defeats..

The new coach should bring in players who are hungry to wear the super eagles jersey not players who seek refuge in the super eagles because they were rejected by other national teams if possible a player with. No other international citizenship..a player that is just Nigerian.. a player that knows what this matches means to the fans back home..
That's will be hungry for success and do the national team proud...a player like victor Oshimen,, Wilfred Ndidi we need hungry players in this our super eagles team

It's a shame that the Super Eagles do not have a player who can score free kicks for them, they have had quite a number of chances. Gone are the days of Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo. I think to an extent, a convincing win against Sierra Leone will pacify Super Eagles fans who are still disappointed they didn't make the 2022 world cup qualifiers.
I am much disappointed as you are about the super eagles of Nigeria not qualifying  for the world cup tournament in Qatar 2022 but be it as it may the boys played a nice game today. The duo scored by Iwobi and Osimhen was an encoione for the team and I think they need to give more hardwork agaiitje next games ahead.

Nigeria not having a player that can at least be making goal chances at the moment like the likes of Jay Jay okocha and kanu Nwankwo as you mentioned is something the Nigerian football federation and Jose peseiro  need to give a special attention to in the home based players.

A lot of fans wanted to see the Super Eagles in the world cup in Qatar. The fans are still very much aggrieved and disappointed with what happened in Nigeria versus Ghana. The Super Eagles will have to do everything to bring back the love and trust back to the team, there is still some inconsistency in the team, this is their first win at home. I hope they can keep a winning streak going.

It was quite clear with the new coach selection that he was only testing the players in the friendly as he used a more familiar team that we know usually represent the nation as super eagles. At the beginning of the match, I was confident of the super eagles getting a win but some doubt came after the the 11th minutes as Sierra Leone went a goal up but thankfully Iwobi equalize just 5 minutes later. That equalizer played an important role in the win.

Although the super eagles controlled the game, had more of the ball possession and shot at goal, still it wasn't a convincing win as the opponent had almost the same shot on target as the super eagles. I'm just happy for the win and for Peseiro starting on a winning ground when it matters not considering the friendly.

Ethiopia is ahead of the Pharaohs by two clean goals. It's a surprise. I can't believe it. I don't know if the Egyptian team can come back and win during the second half, with the odds of winning @26. I think it's tempting, especially since the Egyptian team has good players, so I'll place the bet. Wink
With only 15 minutes left on the game, I doubt that Egypt could do something unless Ethiopian players gets exhausted. No real threat for the opponent = defeat.

For Nigeria they woke up after being behind with 1 goal earlier on the game and now they are leading 2-1 with few minutes left also.

Very annoying performance here so far by the Egyptian team even with the presence of Mohammed Salah they're still 2 goals down .
Very astonishing first half for me they really need to work on their defense regards to the second half of the game, What a loosed defense right now. With the way in which they are playing right now it will be difficult for them to come out victorious in this game , looking at things.

Nigeria is ranked number 3 in Africa, Sierra Leone is nowhere close to the Nigeria side, the Super Eagles should be able to win this one convincingly. I must commend the two attackers on the Sierra Leone side, J.Morsay and M. N. Kamara, their chemistry was superb. They cost us a lot of problems fortunately we came back into the game with clinical finishing. I  expect the Super Eagles to do more of what they did in the first half.

It's been a huge blow that the Super Eagles won't be in the world cup in Qatar. The match against Sierra Leone has taken a new turn. The super eagles taking the lead after being a goal behind. Things seem to be getting down to the favor of the super eagles. A beautiful goal by Victor Osimhen. We have seen a lot of fantastic crosses and passes from the Super Eagles. They are begining to exert dominance over the Sierra Leone side.

yesterday's games were interesting mainly because my country won.

Mozambique 1 - 0 benim

In the next game we will play against senegal, we are very unlucky because against senegal we will have to play against them in the first round and then in the second round in a row, this will make us have 2 defeats, because I doubt we will be able to win the senegal.

today's game:

Cameroon 1 - 0 Burundi

I expected Cameroon to score more goals

Mali 3 - 1 South Sudan

I bet on mali, but when they were losing I thought: " they won't be able to recover " but to my surprise, in 5 minutes 2 goals came in something very difficult to happen in african games

Nigeria's Afcon qualifiers against sierra Leone will be a massive.. Tomorrow is going to be  a day the new coach play his first competitive game as the super eagles coach

It is largely expected the super eagles come out with a victory so they won't be missing out on the Afcon as the disappointment of the world earlier to this year..a d it will also be a boost in morale to the team and the players

Nigeria has the ability and quality to come out victorious against sierra Leone
And that for sure is what

Tactical approach is needed so increase the flexibility of the game.... Nigerians needs answer now...we need to start a rebuild process and strong

I believe the likes of Senegal will give there best and retain the Afcon cup of Nations..
Nigeria have a lot to do if there are to match Senegal .. because Senegal at the moment is so organized the way they play ..the discipline they have..the team spirit...but Nigeria needs time to become this type of team ...the most important thing is to start from somewhere
The players and technical team of Nigeria have no excuse not to win this African Cup of Nations Qualifies against Sierra Leone. The team have been boasted with outstanding international players and the other players that must have discovered during the two friendly matches. Nigerian have been very patient because the Super Eagles have broken their hearts by three straight losses. This match is a must win, anything less than that will be a disappointment and I would start doubting the technical capacity of the new coach.

Sierra Leone was the surprise team in the Afcon just some months ago as it got to where no one expected them to go.I know Nigeria is the better quality here and have better players than Sierra Leone but this Afcon of just a few months ago showed that surprises do happen and I would expect anything in such game.I would not be surprised for a draw or even loss for Nigeria but I agree that the most common expected result is for Nigeria to win this game without problems since this time they are playing in their home stadium.

Nigeria super eagle not qualifying for FIFA world Cup had  made me lose interest in the team, their match against Ghana national team in Abuja were they failed to qualify was very painful and I am very sure lot of Nigerians wouldn't turn up to watch Nigeria vs Sierra Leone, it's a big shame and disappointment that the super eagle will not be participating in World Cup with all their talented players good luck to the new coach as he play his first competitive match as their new manager and I believe if the team started their campaign on a winning note probably the win the heart of their fans back.

@gabbie2010 the player’s and the ex coach should take the blame for not being able to qualify, but let’s hope that this new coach can turn the tide around and make Nigeria competitive again.

Nigeria lose again to an international friendly game against Mexico under a new a coach jose Peseiro , this is their first game under this new coach. I wouldn't want to use their first game to rate the new coach if he is capable of building the team strong again, other game coming will if the new coach is work or not.

The friendlies are best used to gauge the efficiency of the players, the coach does not care much if he loses let's say a game 2-0 but in that game he gets valuable information from different players and their form.He starts based on this information on how to build an even more efficient team and tries different tactics during the training sessions the team will have. This helps a lot prepare the team at the best the coach can and be ready for International important competitions.

I have experience with everything that has to do with Peseiro, and I know that he is a coach who when a player, no matter how good he is, and he doesn't like it, simply doesn't call him to the team, he looks for someone else who doesn't have the same technique or better, I think that Peseiro works with good players, however organizing a team is not his strong point, Mexico has a great level of football, most of its players are in a very demanding Mexican league, and the Mexicans have good technique, there are players like Chicharito Hernandez who even came to Real Madrid and showed a great level, in fact at that time he was hardly scored and when he was scored in almost every game he scored a goal.

I think that we should give some him time to see if he’ll implement some different strategies, but if @LUCKMLY is right then I don’t think he’ll do much good for the team, but for now let’s be patient with him and see how he performs in his first few matches as Nigeria’s head coach.
