I don't think it must be that long, the most important thing is when there is an opportunity to sell immediately and if there is no price change at all. keep selling then replace it with another coin.

It's okay to wait couple of years to recover your loss instead of losing more money or not to get back your capital. Because maybe once you wait for few years and you will be able to get your money back and here's the bonus you can get a lot of profit I think. You should hold it that you think only potential coin and if it's not you can sell it or wait to increase a little and then sell.

I think many people doing the same including me. Some of my holds already lost about 80% of its value so doing CL is not worth it. I also already sold some altcoins that lack of progress and convert them into btc or eth.

Most altcoins are useless if you feel that the project team is not active, doesn't even attending any crypto related events then sell of immediately. However if you can see that the team is active, always have an update on development and attending crypto events then i think it's worth it to hold.

But hodling decent coins are the only way to keep your hope to make profit in future! Yes iam in the same condition, no others way to recover my loss except just hold it for a few year. I still believe other bull market will coming soon or later. Lesson learned and i will not do the same mistake, greedy and FOMO bring me to loss much money. Crypto market is very bad in 2018 and hopely in this year and next year will be much better.

It’s really an ugly situation, we are all depressed.
I agree with you that most altcoins really can't recover from the crash, they are actually dead, so we should give up our unrealistic expectations, don't have a good prediction for them, they can't come back.

Not all altcoins are trash, there still have altcoins that can offer good services for us, just try to look for that coins and you can earn for sure. Shitcoins is meant to die, we should be happy for that since our money will be safe from any trouble.

To be honest, i still kept many of my coins in my wallet, waiting for the market to recover. Since i don't want to sell them right now when the price of the coin is this bad. So in this beginning of 2019, i hope the condition will get even better than it was last year.
