Some of us pre-ordered, fully expecting to not have ASICs by October, or even November.

Who pre-ordered with the expectation of delayed product shippment? Not me.

Do you see how your threat seems a little overcooked now?

It's not a threat, it's a promise.  Grin

And yes, I realize I am only one person, but I have a feeling there are others that feel the same way. It is hard to post your feelings on here, especially on such a controversial subject as BFL, without trolls picking your posts apart. I actually can't even put one single post on here about ANYTHING without someone trying to prove me wrong, calling me names, sarcastic remarks, or arguing with me. So, I'm not surprised there haven't been more people talking about this on here, but I know I am not alone.

That'll show em.

Ah... sarcasm. Unfortunately, there wouldn't be anything else that I could do.

Even though it may not matter to you if I buy from BFL again, I'd imagine BFL wants business from every customer they can get and repeat customers too. That's normally how businesses work.

But, I've been left with such a sour taste in my mouth, that's not going to happen unless BFL somehow makes it up to me in between now and then. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that BFL has pissed off either, so there are likely quite a few others that would do the same.

I'm so serious that if they delay once more, I am getting a full refund and giving my hard earned money to another ASIC vendor.

And what will you do if they don't want to give you a refund until January 1st, 2013?

They will certainly never see another $ from me if that were to be the case.

That'll show em.

As much as it pains me to say this, I agree. I feel like BFL screwed me by saying they will release their product in October.

I was on the fence when I ordered in September whether to order from BFL or Tom. I ended up ordering from BFL because I think they have the better product (read: power efficiency), they had increased transparency throughout the community and were releasing a lot more information than they used to, and the biggest reason: I thought that they would be pretty far through the pre-order list before Tom even started shipping.

Now we fast forward 3 months later...

I most likely would get my ASICs in December from Tom if I had ordered from him at the same time, but it is looking like I won't get my ASICs from BFL until January or later. If I had just ordered a Jalapeno or something, then it wouldn't be that big of a deal. However, I ordered $8,000 worth of singles. BFL literally screwed me out of whatever $8,000 worth of ASICs will make in the first month (maybe about ~$1500+)

I'm so serious that if they delay once more, I am getting a full refund and giving my hard earned money to another ASIC vendor.

I, unlike most people in the community it seems, will not put up with their bull shit.

Sorry man, that sucks. While I wasn't prepared to make a huge investment in ASIC pre-order hardware, I did eventually order and was one click away from paying BFL for a single.

Their customers aren't really punishing them for their consistently deceitful release date FUD ...

It's even worse: Their "customers" seem to be true lemmings. Dissing everyone that asks inconvenient questions on forums.butterflylabs.com
No idea what's going on there. Mass delusion? Mass boot licking syndrome?

Why people feel the need to continue to repeat the same thing, over and over, I'll never understand.

Me neither. Why BFL over and over again promises delivery dates which they can't keep, I'll never understand Wink

To get more Pre-orders ?

Exactly. Their customers aren't really punishing them for their consistently deceitful release date FUD, and it's great for cornering the lions share of the ASIC market, so why not?

I wish they had a live webcam in their assembly facility.
Something like http://www.nanofab.ualberta.ca/lab-information/view-our-facility-2/show-a-camera/?nf_CName=WCAM

I for sure would hate this. I don't want my boss/others watching me at work.

This would have to be done:

It needs to be.... at least.... 3 times bigger than this.

I don't know. I'd guess your boss would notice you're never in the office.
