Only a few altcoins are worth to buy for future use. And rest of the altcoins are worth to do altcoin trading. You can earn money with investing in altcoins. Future use I will prefer eth and waves. Zcash and Monero also good but now these coins are losing their value, and people are not interested. LTC is also good coin to invest.

Bitcoin Cash may be a great choice for short term investing, as it has been experiencing wild price swings lately. Since it lacks real development, and innovation, it could become a forgotten altcoin, as people switch over to a better cryptocurrency. The only thing that BCH has is the block size increase, but the rest is just like the ordinary Bitcoin.

It is only a matter of choice between businesses and individuals, which cryptocurrency will be the most prominent one in the market.

As for Lisk and Golem, these altcoins have great potential to disrupt the blockchain industry, and provide real use cases for the same. Lisk has a well-known programming language among mainstream developers called Javascript for its smart contracts, while Golem allows you to share your computing resources for the advancement of science, medicine, and others.

The previously mentioned coins can be a great investment for the long term. So it would be wise to build up your stack while they remain cheap.

FunFair looks like a great investment too, and can become quite popular if casinos make good use of its platform.

Things aside, other great coins that might be worth buying are NEO and MAIDSAFE. NEO is a smart contract platform just like Ethereum, with the difference of it using various programming languages than the latter. Since it is backed by China, it could gain real traction over the course of time, making it an ideal investment for the long term. And last but not least, there is MAIDSAFE which can become a great investment for the long term, as once this decentralized internet becomes released, it can become very popular due to its revolutionary tech.

Nevertheless, only time will tell what lies ahead for many of the most popular altcoins in the market today. Some may rise in value, and others may fall. But if you manage to take the right steps to ensure your investment, then nothing should go wrong. Just sharing my thoughts

By the way, two or three months ago I somewhere read an article about a token where you can put several other tokens in, so you don't have to buy them all separately. This token then always updates its value according to the change of all the coins that it comprises of. I thought of reading further on the next days, but forgot to bookmark the announcement. Anybody here who knows what I mean?

Coinmarketcap is a great source of info but you cannot find which altcoins are worth buying unless you are using a long term strategy and you have decided to hold for years in that case then the only thing you need to do is to buy the coins with the highest market cap and you are going to be fine.

I buy a lot of STRAT, XVG, RDD, DGB ... these are very good coin. I have been studying the coin very closely. These co-workers have a professional DEV team, good support community and big events.

If you are reading in the forum, I advise you to continue what you had started here, the more you read here is the more you will learn a lot True out of 100% of the altcoins was 90% are shitcoins and few are legit altcoin only. Those are legit coins are always listed in the coinmarketcap top 20.

NEO does look like it could be a nice coin to invest in though there’s not that many investors talking about that coin right now compared to most Altcoins and the price of Bitcoin going up. Bitcoin Cash is getting a bunch of people interested in their coin because of the news giving out false information on the coin and Bitcoin itself so there’s people purchasing the coin to get more Bitcoins when the price of that coin goes up.

I think that it’s a risky move since people are dumping the coins that they get for free for holding Bitcoins before the coin was released. NEO might only be a phase because there might be a new coin that takes over their spot.

Is dashcoin still a good coin? I agree with you about potcoin, but with dash I have not followed it.

XRP is my new favourite. I think the new floor has reached and the rebound has already started. Get in before its too late.

BNB coin from Binance is steadily going up, its success will be contingent on how well Binance executes their platform and promotions

Prime-XI (PXI) - I still recommend PXI. The dev is still working on the hardfork which will decrease the block rewards, therefore increasing the value of each PXI. This is purely a value play considering it's super small marketcap of less than $200,000. Lot of room to grow from here

Terracoin (TRC) - TRC is back to a very good buy area. It eclipsed 10000 sats just like I thought it would and it is now back to around 2000 sats which is a bargain. TRC is one of the oldest coins in crypto and has global name recognition. It has been around since 2012. Masternodes will be implemented in approximately 5 weeks. Testnet is up and running. This is a great time to accumulate some cheap TRC before masternodes. It will eventually hit $1+

BitBay (BAY) - BAY is one of my favorite coins. I firmly believe it is one of the most undervalued coins in all of crypto. Great buy right now around 500 sats. It already has a decentralized marketplace that uses double deposit escrow so there are no 3rd parties involved. A ton of work is being put in to it. The rolling peg is just icing on the cake. Unitus (UIS) - UIS should be given a strong look. It is the 1st coin that was able to combine multiple algorithms with merge mining. It can be mined with Skein, Lyra2re2, Argon2d, Yescrypt and x11. All of those are merge mineable. Very unique coin. Extremely secure, energy efficient, and mineable by the average person. There was no premine, ICO or dev tax. Just pure rewards. There are also only ~46.8 million coins in circulation. UIS has been running with no problems for almost 3 years and has a very talented and active developer with a budding community. It was recently listed on the Chinese exchange, BTC100 and it has been racking up a good amount of volume over there. You can also buy UIS on Cryptopia. There are also plans to get on more exchanges like Bittrex, BTC38, etc. There is also a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that is being kept private for now. Work is being put into UIS in all areas. I highly recommend UIS right now.

This coin only has a market cap of about $1 million... Unitus has potential for immense growth. Extremely undervalued, IMO.
