Monero is truly unique in the way that it enforces privacy when compared to most anon coins like Dash and ZCash. Its recent hard fork, shows that it aims for complete decentralization with an ASIC-resistant mining algorithm. Seeing that it has a dedicated development team, and promising technology, XMR is quite often undervalued when compared to other cryptocurrencies like ZCash. Additionally, it has the potential to increase further in value over the long term. As such, this altcoin would be worth buying and holding for quite a long time.

On the other hand, altcoins like Litecoin and NEM are also worth buying since they have a huge potential to increase in value over the long term. Litecoin grows alongside Bitcoin in terms of value as time passes by. As with NEM, I have the feeling that it would reach $1 and above in the future as it adopts Catapult for greater scalability. It would experience high transaction throughput and faster speeds, making it the ultimate blockchain platform for nearly anything you could think of. This altcoin is often undervalued considering all the features it has, including but not limited to delegated harvesting (stake your coins without leaving your wallet open), and mosaics. As such, it could be well worth buying and holding for the long term. Just my thoughts

Speaking from my experience, you can go with XRP, TRX and IOST. IOST has better features than all the other coins and if you go through its website, you will see how beneficial it is. I strongly suggest that you invest your money in it. It is still rising and has more than doubled in this week so that shows you how much this coin is worth. Apart from that, it is listed on all the major exchanges so it is easy for you to buy it from anywhere.

We all knew that many nowadays has been rise up in the altcoins, and majority of the member's too know that there only few altcoins are legit actually. And those legit coins are worth buying for anyhow.

I think that the point in buying altcoins is definitely there. The first reason is a higher return on investments than from Bitcoin, the second reason is that cryptocurrencies are unstable, and it can happen that Bitcoin will fall, and the altcoins on the contrary rise in price, the third thing is that you can gain profist much more faster.

Waiting is a wise decision and not easy for everybody who holds the coin, exact patience will be needed to develop. The demand might take for long days or even months to fulfill it's profitable price in the market. Altcoins nowadays are risky to hold, however, if you just want to trade them day to day then you must check out the trading volume so you can make sure that you are not going to have a bag of nonsense

I think it's always good to have a diversified portfolio especially as the space matures and prices track eachother less.  That said, diversifying can kind of erase some of the upside potential of a crypto-portfolio. Those who hold large quantities of a specific token or altcoin, have the power to manipulate the market. Take for example, Ripple, which is a centralized digital currency backed by banks

Each people has their own opinion about coins, because each of them experienced different things when handling their coins. I think the best thing that you can do is to study the market and the trends before investing into something, it's good to ask for opinions but don't rely on them to much. In the first place, everything is hard to tell whether some of the alts will soon pumped. It's quite easy to say that a certain coin has potential since no one knows what will happened later on

I believe that good reputable altcoins which have community acceptance will not die, and they will flourish in future. I think this year is the year for altcoins, you can see almost all altcoins price increase in this year.

But there may be another situation. When the market of crypto currency will not grow for a long time. A lot of other coins will appear during this period.

The investment potential is a very conventional concept. In fact, everything depends very much on the general state of the market at that moment. If the market grows, then very many coins can be called promising, because they also grow.
