There also some good altcoins to hold. But I see some shitcoins that should really be only for day trading and not for holding it for too long or you might end up crying.

I feel that altcoin is also suitable for holding if the project is good. Day trading is good if there is bigger trading volume. And it is more suitable for experienced traders.

Mostly why people use altcoins for day trading is that seeing that they are still new, there is still the potential for the price to rise to 1000 or higher percentage of their current prices, something we know that bitcoin did but seeing how high the price of bitcoin is now and how far bitcoin has come, this is not a very likely outcome for bitcoin but with altcoins, you can make that much profit.

For me, altcoins is really for daily trading. I will just hold my bitcoin as it has the value to hold. But for altcoin like Eth, i will use it to invest in ICO or other project that have potential.

Well, everyone has different types of strategy and different ways of handling their coins
Some prefer to hold, some prefer to buy sell buy sell, it really depends on how the person trade style is Tongue

Imagine if you use bitcoin with a market cap of 149 billion you need a bulk buy and sell transactions to create a movement in the market and it needs ample of time to do it, whereby using any alternative coins in a day trading is a better way because you can easily determine the massive movement of a coin due to small market capacity.

not for day trading .. it should be hold for longterm bot for day trading..
trading is always risky: insted you should place the sell order or buy order at your prices. not intra day that can take weeks & months also to get your prices.

Of course they take advantage of fluctuations to make a profit. Traders like this may have to check the smartphone every 5 minutes. Some people did. But I think this is not a part time job.

I think, not as you think.
for example, I have altcoin that I hold for quite a long time. until now I have held it for almost a year. although every situation always changes the fox over its value itself.
there are other ways to make a profit, as you say. Short trades are the most effective for generating quick profits.
so you can do anything depending on what you are planning to invest or trade quickly.

It is true that many altcoins are only for day trading.
I'd suggest you skip these altcoins, since it is possible that you will be the bag holder in the end.

seems like you are confused.
compared to holding,doing a daily trading is a difficult task to begin with.
because it needs a lot of attention,research and other things to accomplish the trade unlike holding it.
also in term of profit,holding is way more better because it generates more profit from what we are doing in daily trade.
when holding it,we are focusing ourself to reach certain point and gaining a profit based on a bigger picture unlike daily trade.
in daily trade we are focusing to make a profit for every trade that we make.
