Hello Everyone, I'm very new to Altcoins, Cryptocurrencies In General. I'm Looking for someone's advice that has been around for a while to kind of give me some tips or pointers on how to spot legit coin's, what to look for before investing. Really just any guidance on a basic level would be greatly appreciated.

If you are looking for legit coins, then go to coinmarketcap.com and look for the first 100coins. They have the biggest market capitalization which is an indication of how people believe in the coin and using it.

Just make sure that when you want to invest in an altcoin that you have a very good understanding of the kind of project that they are offering you, if you are not making a good effort to understand the coins then you stand more risks of investing your money into scam coins. Especially when you are dealing with new coins you have to be extra careful

For those of you who are new to cryptocurrency, the existence of an altcoin might feel a little confusing too much. Therefore let's analyze again coins that are less clear in the market which we will put into our portfolio.

For marketcap startups usually less than 10 million, their prices are above $ 1 on average, and within 24 hours their volume's above 10k USD. I think with this kind of calculation it means that this coin has a pretty good community/ volume/ability. Along with the prices of those who have never experienced extreme increases. That means this coin still has the potential/ opportunity to grow at an amazing level.

Look at the market Volume and Total supply.
Total suply shouldn`t be very big and if you are a total newbie Volume is >1 000 000$ for you.
Then try to find out which coin is prespective one Cool

Just make sure that before you are investing in any coin that you are doing a good amount of research into that coin, do not just invest in coin just because you think that everyone is investing in them. If you are investing in icos then you have to be very careful, there are a lot of scam coins out there in the market right now so you do not lose your money

My best suggestion for you is to actually learn how to make personal research by yourself. Don't dwell much on what people say or some news, at time they might be misleading because we are in an industry where your mistake will make someone else to make money

Investment should not be influenced by others. Projects must be explored, studied and investigated by themselves. Many of the projects are fraudulent now. You need to confirm the authenticity of the project yourself.

It is important to read the main documents about the project, see what the team will do and what the product itself is!

For the newbie, if you want to invest in altcoins then only invest in ETH. Because ETH's exchange rate is currently at an unprecedented level, it is possible to make long-term investments to make a big profit in the future. High potential ETH rates in 2019 could rise to $ 2,000 in exchange rates.

To enter the market, you need to learn how to understand its structure and gain experience! If you listen to someone, you will quickly lose your money!

I really agree, you don't have to be too confident about what other people say about the market that will go down or rise because you can make a picture of what happened last day.

First of all, we must understand that any coin is first of all a project. And to be confident in their investments, it is necessary to study what this project represents and what prospects it has. Just for myself, I decided that I would buy coins only from the Top 50 on the site of the coinmarketcap.
