You can ask the channel where many investor alywas discuss about which one altcoin have great investment, you can learn and try to allow what have the investor doing. Never buy some altcoin have raised moer higher price, you can wait until drop price to buy.
As a starting point, what we need to do is to familiarize ourselves with this market and then invest in some less risky cryptocurrencies.

I want to suggest the new bie to do the study as much as he can.Because your wise decision give you good reward.If you want to invest in coins invest only in Bitcoin because it is the king of altcoin market.Be ready for profit and losses.Don't be panic in any circumstances because patience is the key of success of this market.

Better to have your own research coins to be able minimize the risk in your investment because it can be mistake from others if you listen there suggestion. Looking or reading all source of potential coins in there respective whitepaper and marketing strategy will you more confident to investment.
the best thing you can do is to investigate before investing in an ICO mate. better you must know how to know how to choose good ICO projects, you must know if the team members are legit especially the CEO pf the project, they must be active participated in blockchain summit and other conferences that relate to cryptocurrency. they must be active in there social media sites especially in telegram. it must have white paper of the project, and lastly it must have website.
Read a couple of books about financial analysis of projects and start investing. I'm not sure your first investment won't burn out, but you'll get your dividends later.
If you need find total basic information about cryptocurrencies you should check section " beginners and help " this place is for every new user who need informations.

Hello Everyone, I'm very new to Altcoins, Cryptocurrencies In General. I'm Looking for someone's advice that has been around for a while to kind of give me some tips or pointers on how to spot legit coin's, what to look for before investing. Really just any guidance on a basic level would be greatly appreciated.
A couple of advise that you should take;
Investing in a new coins are very risky because they are more likely to fail, so keep that in mind when you are investing.
Always invest money that you are willing to lose because if not you might just end up giving yourself a heart attack.
Always make sure that ICOs are legit before you put any money into the project.
basically, to invest in the world of cryptocurrency we must be able to read the market well. we must also be able to choose coins that are legit for investment. we can see in the list of the best altcoins and of course there will be information about that. the most important thing is that we must be able to manage crypto assets that we have well.
I will give you prompt in view of what I post for by and by before putting into any altcoin. Considering the way that a decent item is one of the main considerations that will make an altcoin to keep going long, I guarantee that the item should have first been received before I put into such coin. Different components are great group and also the authentic information on the altcoin.

Therefore, to begin with, it is better to invest in coins that have already proven themselves as reliable and with a large capitalization.
First of all, I humbly welcome you to the Crypto world. I will like to advise you that you should start your crypto journey with a mindset that it's not a get rich quick scheme which if the profits you are expecting on your altcoins aren't coming quickly you don't sell off at a lose and regret later.
