Don't touch the new Altcoin, it's full of risk, if you want to invest with Altcoin then my advice is to choose potential Altcoins like BNB, ETH, and LTC or Altcoin which is in the top 10-20 at coinmarketcap. I am still optimistic we can profit from long-term investments with Altcoin.

Not only investment, all the decisions that we will take or the steps we will take going forward always have risks and we must be prepared for that. And for bitcoin itself, in my opinion is a very good coin to invest in the long term and for altcoin itself maybe only a few top altcoins are good to invest in the long term because for me personally most altcoins are suitable for use in trading rather than to be held in the long term.

If you do not know what can altcoin do, you might lose your money. Altcoins price is having a hard time to rise up once it has been dumped. The only thing that the price of it goes up is the bulk investors or whales. Also, the price of altcoin has a chance to increase if the value of bitcoin rises up since they are dependent on the price of it. No doubt that altcoin is profitable but for me? I would go still to bitcoin if we are going to talk about long term profits.
In my experience, you shouldn't invest altcoins in long term. There are many reasons for altcoins to die or prices will collapse many times when you start buying. I know a lot of people were holding altcoins in 2017 and until now they have lost hundreds of times and considered they have lost all their money. They had invested in the best altcoins at the time but now those altcoins are rubbish and have become scams. Just investing in BTC or a few altcoins in the top 10 is enough.
