Altcoin Season May Coming, Binance Research Report. Binance's research department suggests that a so-called alt season may be approaching the cryptocurrency market. Binance's research department suggests that a so-called alt season may be approaching the cryptocurrency market. A season is three months, so we looked at the performance of all Top 50 Coins over the last 90 days. The more Altcoins are up against BTC, the higher die Altcoin Season Index. If 75% of all Altcoins are up against Bitcoin over the last 3 months, it's Altcoin Season.
Yes, but don't get me wrong in understanding this, because Altcoin basically can't fight Bitcoin, you can see that when a lot of Altcoin starts pumping prices up, then Bitcoin also gets pumped and even most Altcoins go up in price because Bitcoin starts to go up in price first, this is what I always pay attention to in the cryptocurrency market.
what you say is true. but in some cases, different situations can occur. like the example that happened at BNB at the beginning of the IEO launch by the exchange. and also continues when the binance blockchain launches. they have improved which I don't think is affected by the state of bitcoin. because at that time we can all see that the state of bitcoin is not in a good trend
when Binance experiences an All Time High increase, the price of Bitcoin does not experience Bullish and is still stable, and indeed Binance when it is triumphant, it appears that their trading volume is large then it makes their BNB coins a lot of demand and makes All Time High, maybe it's not just BNB alone, many coins do such a thing. but if altcoin season comes, it's very easy for the money to flow in the air  Grin

Yes, for Altcoin at this time it is very difficult to increase prices. Although Bitcoin and several other top coins have increased. I see altcoin is currently very dependent on the price of Bitcoin. If we examine in more detail, there is almost no increase in prices on altcoin. It's just that the chart changes to green due to the Bitcoin chart and some of the top altcoins are increasing.
Yes, and the change in price charts for each Altcoin is certainly because the price is different from the previous one, just because Altcoin has already fallen too deep, it seems as if they have not experienced a good price increase in the market.

Bitcoin dominance could be fluctuating, but despite that, most altcoins no matter how low dominance is, which for some time now has not gone below 50%, will still depend on bitcoin.
It has been long altcoins grew independent of Bitcoin and that was in 2017 and perhaps early 20818 and it is hard for such to happen now.
The only factor that could result into that is if bull run is truly approaching, then we might see history repeating itself again.
But when halving will happen, will bitcoin dominate again with the history repeating before? Because now it is quite difficult to go up to 10k, is this from the effects of the global crisis so that bitcoin enthusiasts are falling?
altcoin is the same if bitcoin isn't high then other altcoins won't follow it either.
I also think like that, the economic crisis caused by the plague did provide enough financial impact in the community. So I hope that life can be normal soon, with another hope that the price of bitcoin can be better than halving before. maybe it's a good point to look at the economic recovery first, and I hope that if it's recovered the crypto market can follow suit

After reading few posts on this forum today I became confused because and I decide to let it out to get answers in return, is it possible for altcoins to grow (altcoin season) without Bitcoin? I'm not talking about pumps like if a coin get burned off it's max supply or if listed on binance and other top exchanges, I'm talking about every altcoins surging on their own without Bitcoin taking the first step...

I think this is possible, but the coin developer must find as many investors as possible. Because with so many investors who are ready to support the project, the value of selling coins or tokens will increase. In addition, the project must have a real product that can be exchanged for coins. Every successful project doesn't just sell ideas on social media. But they also sell products.
After such a fall in stock markets and the collapse of the global economy. I am sure that this is the end of many cryptocurrency projects. I think that many Altcoin from the Top 100 will lose another 50% of their capitalization.

indeed for now the price of altcoin depends on Bitcoin, because all holders focus on bitcoin, see the dominance of Bitcoin increases, there will be a time when dominance will go down and altcoin can go up without Bitcoin

Not necessarily as the big country like China are creating their own currency, it's safe that way that they are the ones creating their own, but then its still centralized, it's not what people wanted, they can still print money like printing fiat.

the management system might be more different from the savings on fiat money printing costs which might be reduced when each country could make their crypto. however, we will see how later fiat will be abandoned with technology to use new currencies in the future.
Fiat can't be abandoned, both crypto and Fiat will always co exist in the future, people or users are the ones to determine here and I bet not all are tech savvy, even if all the whole world knows how to use crypto we will still want to use Fiat

If a coin is going to survive long term it needs to become a national currency.
Thats the future.

Forget it, the national currency is not possible to be done by altcoins. It may possible for crypto to replace it but that doesn't mean if crypto can be a national currency. Why so many temtum shillers are still trash-talking about its crap project?

To take the best time to buy is not so easy as the people said lol. You guys called just buy when the bullish sign appears but it's still a speculation.
The bullish market conditions will be the accelerator for increasing awareness and the traditional market traders will look at the crypto market performance. There is no need to underestimate the power of the crypto industry. The national currency is a conspiracy theory for cryptocurrencies and it wouldn't go far after the recovery of global markets.

Yes it's possible, there is a reason why it is called altcoin season and that is, it is the time when altcoins surge in price. During this season, it means people are now buying more of altcoins than Bitcoin hence the reason for its price surge, in the same way, altcoins can surge together with Bitcoin. Also, it is important to know that, at this level or growth of this space, when altcoin season sets in, it will be for selected altcoins; that is, altcoins which are worth it, altcoins which already have working products and so on. So while clamouring for altcoin season, ensure to hold good coins.
There are really chances that altcoins will grow on their own but most of the time, bitcoin grow first before altcoins. We need bitcoin halving first for bitcoin to pump and it will be followed by altcoins to pump. And having said that, not all altcoins will surely gow this time but only those potential altcoins that have high chances to grow their value and left are those dead coins that will never pump anymore.

Stop speaking about altcoins like their price action has some seasonal variation of sorts, it doesn't.

Just buy when ALL the signs are bullish, and sell when shit hits the fan, it's really not that difficult.

If you sit around for years waiting for an altcoin season you're going to miss a huge amount of trading opportunities, particularly if you are a swing or day trader.
Well, yes, everything is really as simple as you wrote. But most often it turns out so to determine which season is now - bull or bear, it is very difficult. That's how it is now))) It seems to be already at the bottom, but what tells me that we can dive even deeper
It can go deeper as the situations that affecting the entire world are still dominating, talking about corona and the effects of this virus to financial industry. You need to work with how you understand and how you believe the market will go forward, the season might be more on it's bearish stage again. The only thing that we should be concern by now  is how we can hold on with those reserve assets that we are keeping. If you have spare and willingly take the opportunities then so be it.

Altcoins can surely grow on their own recently we have seen great examples of chain link, tezos and many more even some tokens have performed really well like snx and crpt. But to be honest the real parabolic altcoin season does not seem to be around the corner as of yet i think we may need to wait like 12 to 18 months more to see that highly anticipated alt season.
