After reading few posts on this forum today I became confused because and I decide to let it out to get answers in return, is it possible for altcoins to grow (altcoin season) without Bitcoin? I'm not talking about pumps like if a coin get burned off it's max supply or if listed on binance and other top exchanges, I'm talking about every altcoins surging on their own without Bitcoin taking the first step...

I think this is possible, but the coin developer must find as many investors as possible. Because with so many investors who are ready to support the project, the value of selling coins or tokens will increase. In addition, the project must have a real product that can be exchanged for coins. Every successful project doesn't just sell ideas on social media. But they also sell products.

in my opinion it depends on the quality of the altcoin project, if the quality of the project goes well and according to the scheduled road map, the price may not be affected by bitcoin.

Bitcoin for cryptocurrencies is a reserve currency by analogy with the US dollar, therefore, the correlation of Altcoins and Bitcoin is an objective regularity. But of course, there may be significant deviations from the Alts market in one direction or another.

Well.. that is debatable. I would go one step further and say that altcoins don't have any independent existence of their own. They will not survive if Bitcoin is not there. Do you really think that coins such as LTC and XRP would survive, if there is no BTC? Even now, the vast majority of the trade for these coins are being conducted against Bitcoin. During the recent years, the proportion has deceased a bit, but alt vs fiat trade is still not that popular.

Most altcoins are already cheap now and buying is a big opportunity because you don't have to wait for any bullrun before making insane profits, top altcoins can surge on their own without Bitcoin rallying first

This is very possible for altcoins to grow without bitcoin. You can agree with me that major news and major events can to a large extent drive the price of an altcoin. For instance, major news like:
Burn, new listings on popular exchanges, wallet listings, new partnerships, new products released and a lots more. All these and several other factors can lead to the pump of an altcoin aside bitcoin.

If we let our emotion decide, we might regret our decision in the future.
The question is easy to answer just by looking at the past performance of the market, bitcoin always recovers while altcoins always follow.

Very simple explanation I have but that has happened in the past and could possibly happen in the future.

Just believe and you'll be alright.

I perfectly understood your points well. On the space it is better not to let in our emotions to decide for us market situations.

There will never be such a season of altcoins as before. Previously, people invested in projects that just appeared like crazy, counting on an endless increase in profits to their capital.
Now everyone understands that the cryptocurrency market is unpredictable and dangerous, no one will invest huge amounts of money in such unstable assets in droves.

Many altcoins have proven their worth in the past, they bring you percentage of Returns to investors, that's why I think altcoins are better but catching them young can be extremely dangerous because you won't know which is more serious

No,

Altcoin prices always depend on bitcoin. One factor is that altcoins are only convertible to BTC, altcoins will be having a hard time to increase without the influence of bitcoin.
Bitcoin has a great dominance in this market and all altcoins are heavily dependent on Bitcoin's price increase. I think there are not many coins that can counter Bitcoin at this time so let's hope the price of this coin can rise higher in the near future.

Of course the altcoin season will probably come back again and this is a great opportunity for you to consider investing.

Most of the potential coins will always follow the price of Bitcoin, now most of the potential altcoin is getting very cheap in the market. Yes, again, there is glory for altcoins to recover its prices, now we should give some time for the market to recover the price of Bitcoin because now the market situation is completely in a down trend.

One of the most interesting for me is Carnomaly. In few words, Carnomaly will become the first company ever to offer a worldwide rebate for an automotive purchase. Both new and used vehicles will apply, as long as they are purchased from a verified legal dealer anywhere in the world. Upon completion of our consumer platform, Carnomaly will begin buying back tokens to replenish the rebates. And I recommend you to have a look at their website as there are many interesting features

From your words definitely attractive, thank you very much for the recommendation. Will have a closer look shortly!

I would say that I am having similar opinion. And talking about you, are there many promising tokens and platforms you are now following and can recommend? I only have 2 or 3 most advanced ones I am aware of, so always interesting to get a real recommendation. And if you have any, would be interested to hear your recommendations

Good afternoon. I wouldn't say that we can be talking about all altcoins at once. From my point of view, much depends on the concrete platform/token and its particular prospects. And it is important to differentiate. Because again, only own and concrete analysis allows to get an objective overview

So far from what I have observed, there are times when a good altcoin moves in an uptrend direction even without Bitcoin movement but that happens when there is a strong fundamental analysis, and then you see so many traders wanting to or rather buying the coin, before you know it,price has sky rocketed, but most times when BTC movement is stable also that's when altcoin moves.

Altcoins, especially now, will not be able to grow without Bitcoin. Here, on the contrary, one should expect an increase in the level of Bitcoin domination to 70%. So far, I do not believe in the growth of Altcoins, even in relation to Bitcoin.

It is possible but it can't be sustained, people do not want to hold Altcoins but rather Bitcoin, so when they  make profit from Altcoins they move back to Bitcoin, and also remember people first move money into Bitcoin, pump its price, move to ALtcoins, pump its price, then back to Bitcoin. I like what Binance is doing buy making it possible for people to buy crypto with their native currencies, this would help to break dominance of BTC in the space

Yes it is possible for altcoins to rally while bitcoin is either trading sideways or retracing,  in some rare cases both can even be pumping. It usually happens after bitcoin rallies,  people take profits from BTC and invest it in altcoins in anticipation of a rally also,  so the basic idea is riding both wave of rallies.
