depending on the project if indeed they have a good development then the price of the coin will go up regardless of the rising price of BTC.
for example there are some coins that have increased at a certain time and it is not a pump / dump that is usually done by shitcoin, because the duration is not for a while maybe it can be more than 1 week.
while shitcoin only lasts a few hours.

In any case, coins are still dependent on the main coin of cryptoworld. Some are more, and some are less. But there are those who maintain a small connection and are actually almost self-sufficient.

Yes it is very possible, In fact, I think I am seeing a situation like that in previous weeks, almost everything is down including bitcoin but LINK is surging like 5 to 10%. But situations like that does not happen everytime. Everything can happen on crypto or should I say on some altcoins. Some are fake pump and some are real so be careful.

With my own personal opinion, I didn't see any good ways that an altcoin could grow a higher price without bitcoin. The exchange sites that caters trading of different promising altcoins was using bitcoin as their mode of payment for an exchange. Though we seen some of them used eth, bnb or xrp but along the way bitcoin still existed. Most traders will purchase and hold bitcoin after dumping their altcoins, so the circulation of the market still continue to create strong demands.

Alts rise without the direct or indirect influence of Bitcoin all the time, and it's even been suspected that the few bullish trends we've seen in the past year were started first with larger altcoins like Litecoin or Ethereum before Bitcoin started rising, though generally when Bitcoin rises most other alts also enter some sort of a bullish trend, whether strong or weak.

I'm beginning to doubt we will ever witness the altseason we witnessed years ago. Bitcoin is currently dominating the rest of crypto by a mindbogglingly range and it's almost impossible for that to reverse anytime soon.

It is but for a very short period of time. The cycle before was like that, when bitcoin hits an increase then alts were dumping and vice versa. But looking to the market that we have right now, the chance is minimal. Bitcoin should pump first then the trend will follow to the altcoin market.
Many pairs are coming from bitcoin so without its help, the chance for alts to pump are not that high.

I do not think there can be an exceeding altcoin season without bitcoin soaring higher in price and doing wonders first.
I also think except for ample altcoins, it is hard for an altcoin to moon soaringly without bitcoin doing the same.

Think for yourself, more than 60% of the market belongs to Bitcoin, which means that to begin global growth of the entire alternative coin market, you need to transfer funds from Bitcoin to alternative coins.
Who will do this? Who will benefit from this? Given that the value of alternative coins is extremely which is extremely doubtful as is their current value. Do not feed yourself with illusions.

After reading few posts on this forum today I became confused because and I decide to let it out to get answers in return, is it possible for altcoins to grow (altcoin season) without Bitcoin? I'm not talking about pumps like if a coin get burned off it's max supply or if listed on binance and other top exchanges, I'm talking about every altcoins surging on their own without Bitcoin taking the first step...

I don't know why people keep on waiting for this altcoin "season". I mean like what is the hell is that? Does it even exist? We have seen few altcoins sometimes growing while the price of bitcoin was struggling or just remained the same. This is nothing impossible over here. But, mostly we have seen the price of altcoin following that of bitcoin. Though you will sometimes see some altcoins skyrocketing like crazy. Keep in your mind that those are mostly some shitcoins that are getting pumped by the developers themselves and will eventually get dumped. Most of them ends up dying really soon.

Absolutely yes, it is possible for altcoin to grow without the influence of bitcoin, even several occurrence of such has happened numerous times. One of the time such happened around the Q3 of 2019 where most altcoin was growing more than bitcoin price. Also a spike in price of altcoin happens mostly when the team decides to list to the token on a top tier exchange. The hype around such exchange and the community members spirit brings about the increase in price.

Hear the altcoin season? I am still wondering if there is a season. I think it's just a situation where the trend of a project, where the enthusiasm of enthusiasts rises. A coin might rise without following the increase in bitcoin. This year, the technology used will be more advanced. That way I think there will be a lot of good coins in the future.

This has happened before, we had altcoin seasons in which the price of bitcoin almost did not moved but this happened some time ago when the popularity of altcoins was at their peak and many believed that altcoins will replace bitcoin and that bitcoin could even disappear, since that time the market has changed significantly, now most altcoins are distrusted by investors and you will be hard pressed to find people that think bitcoin is going to be replaced by another coin, finally the circumstances are not that good for an altcoin season to happen now when the halving is so close and people are expecting for the price of bitcoin to go up.

My thoughts isn't possible in high chance. Most of the payment is making by Bitcoin and then Ethereum without Bitcoin this isn't possible. In bear market several coin did a run but those are new coin, because this coin demand is unpredictable. In bear market, Last year huge success I saw in counting house project now dump price.

It is possible and happened already several times in the past, both of the bitcoin and altcoins should have the connections affecting its market price but in this day there are just so many factors that are affecting the resistance of the market price of bitcoin and altcoins in this days the delay in the market, etc. Affect a lot and the bitcoin market price and altcoins market price is already affected by a lot of factors this day, the thing that should happen is not happening this day. Delays in the market price of bitcoin and altcoins could easily occur so for me it is obviously possible for the altcoins in the market to be bullish even without the bitcoin getting bullish in the market because of the delays.

it's impossible i think. the growth of many altcoins is possible only when bitcoin stops for a while. it is not a long period. maybe this is a week or two, but still, I think that only Bitcoin and the demand for it that controls the market dynamics. altcoins always follow bitcoin

It possible if altcoins will grow more expensive in value, it always depending on their teammates. What the new things to make people interest with that coin, give the holder advantages for bought it, and many else team can do.
No matter what season it is, if they can make inovation, the result will following what they did.

Possible. The altcoins that exponentially grow are the ones paired with BTC and USD because these are the ones that successfully made it. But having just USD will be a struggle for this coin.  BTC holders who will hedge value will buy USD but eventually buys back the BTC yet not an altcoin. Some BTC investors though will buy altcoin especially if they find the coin being developed making this altcoin grow.

The answer is yes and no, depend upon the situation and the project itself.
If we are talking about particular altcoin then it is possible but if we are talking about the majority of altcoin then it will not.
The majority of altcoins are pump and dump, they do not have any real value and even some of them do not have any progress in their development. Because of that, the majority of coins use Bitcoin as an indicator of their growth. On the other hand, some particular coins are able to gain growth because they have real value and steady development.

Some of the altcoins can still pump even without the help of bitcoin and then sometimes you notice that the price of bitcoin is falling down while the other altcoins are pumping. But most often cases we see are when Bitcoin pumps, other altcoins will also follow. Have you ever heard about Tezos? It is now belong to one of the top rank cryptocurrency in the market and IMO, I guess it is one of the tokens who totally surge without any help of bitcoin. Not, all the time when bitcoin goes up the altcoin will go up as well and vice versa that's why sometimes there will be an altcoin season in which most of the altcoins are rising. Then, the altcoin seems already discuss here.
