Yes, it's foolish to buy altcoin at this time. I think most of the coins will disappear in this bear market, and the correction will continue for a long time. I think only Bitcoin is worth investing in, and no other coins will be bought for the time being.
i think in this time, the market is being dumped awfully that we may think altcoins will soon die but i think there are many altcoins still worthy for long term like NEO or RIPPLE,... those of altcoins with unique characteristics can have the chacne to be pumped in the future and get more attentions from investors.

I also face the same worry, altcoins' market performance is very bad now, the price is falling endlessly, every investor has lost a lot, and I believe that there are a lot of people who have invested in altcoins, everyone seems to be can only wait for the arrival of the bull.
Personally, I think that the alt coin market is on the verge of death lol. Not death as in it will be completely gone (because that's impossible) but rather, something like, it will soon be dragged down to the bottom of the ocean. The reason I'm saying this is because there had been so much disruptor in the market such as scams, bad projects that had not been gone through well enough, etc. These things are the causes of the market going down. If only this would get fixed, then we will have a better place to live in the crypto market.
at the moment the price of almost all coins is low, but I'm sure there are still days for altcoins. now is not the time for altcoins to die because I'm sure this is only a matter of time until the market recovers. so it's better now to buy altcoins for long-term investments or until the market goes up.

Actually not only you that your coins or money goes to zero. Ill think all of us in here same situation but we need to trust that altcoins be back again into a high prices so we need to wait until going up again.
Dip are actually normal in crypto and it depends on you if you lose hope and sell your tokens below your capital or just trust on the token you invested to and wait for it to rise and moon again. Everything is in our hands so think twice on making an action.

With the current situation of alts we should be thinking logically if it's really worth buying of alts. However, I'm kinda doubtful now so I'm buying more bitcoin than altcoin. With many icos now that popped in the market, many altcoins are born and this made the supply higher yet the demand is decreasing because of fuds that intolerable.
Eventually, many coins will die and those who are strong will remain standing.
It depends on which ones you hold, and your financial plan when you get in crypto market
