I think you should check out Waves, it's really undervalued at the moment compared to the technology it offers. It has really big potential and I believe it could really take off during the next 2 years
i would advbice you to get riple and also to join airdrop there are some valuable coins that you will get and also i would suggest you! that you could get ethereum on the correction.sounds crazy...but imagine when bitcoin was 6k and now its 11k.you would make 5 profit.
If you were to hold an altcoin for two to three years it is best not to judge your investment on factors like market capitalization, current circulating supply but rather on the preliminary technologies of the cryptocurrencies. These are iOTA, NEO, Siacoin and RDD Coin.
Yes they are good to hold. As well as ETH, LTC, VTC, waves and xmr are good choices. These are more stable coins in the market. If you wish to take some risk and expect a high return, select AION, Tel, TNT and ETP. But it has more risk as I earlier said. Do your own research before you take any decision.
Well then you need to watch what altcoins to grab and what to merge as slag coin for 2-3 years really will fall in price,and usually keep them no sense of perspective,where there is technology and other things behind them,then clearly they need to keep and not buy,as they will grow above current

I would say that you already named some of my favorite alt coins for long term holding! Excellent choices! 
I would add also Lisk and Icon in the list
This is actually a very good idea, but of course do not forget to monitor these projects, I'm not talking about the price of these coins, I'm talking about what these projects will do, that is, I say that these projects simply do not close.

if u consider eth an alt, then definitely some eth.
i also like neurotoken NTK (AI+big data) and airtoken AIR (mobile+emerging markets) since these are big themes which won't go away anytime soon.

In this industry you can never look that much forward , a lot can change in 3 years. To make money the coming years you really need to be on top of it . But my best guess would be look for coins with a lot of other projects build upon it.
Before investing in coins suggest by others please do your own research before invest in any coin. While OMG is a better coin i will suggest you TRX,BNB,TKY,ETH,WTC,POWR,VEN are some coins that have huge potential.
That is the right thing to do when you want to grow more your coin, holding it for more 2-3 years will give you a potential to earn more. Also holding is the other way to grow and get high return after a long period of time. Also some of altcoin now have potential to be rise in this end of the year and upcoming years. 
There are some best coins available to investment for next 2-3 years such as Ethereum, Monero, Waves, Stratis, Neo,waves and Ripple. These coins are already prove their credibility and have great potential to grow strongly in future in next 2-3 years.
OMG, Neo, these coins need to be held. OMG can cost a hundred dollars, and Neo can cost a thousand dollars. So of course you need to have them in your portfolio.
Try to hold some BTC and ETH if you can. XRP, NEO and Waves are really good options for holding 2-3 years. Cheers !

Well I will vouch for NEBL I didn't know this one was really good for long term hold until I did a lot of deeply search on it recently. From now on I'll buy every dip of NEBL until I hold a bag. Goodluck to us.
be aware investing on token or coin outside FIAT currency, Not all the projects benefit their investors. Many ICOs proved to be complete scams, not only were they not being traded at all but some projects disappeared with the money and we have not heard from them right up to this day.

Such periods are likely to be a consolidation period by the whales, and when the right time comes, accompanied by a good press release of the project. no need waiting for 2-3 years for take a profit. take a profit as soon as possibe on your investment.
