I think that there is no better and more reliable Ethereum, it is a platform that is currently the most successful and promising. You can also consider EOS and NEO. I am sure that there will be some more good altcoins for investment, but at the moment I am considering only these.

At the moment, the ripple looks very attractive. This coin fell not so much as the rest. It seems to me that many investors have paid attention to this fact.
depending on how much you are looking to invest. if its small amount i suggest look at those low cap coins cause even tho they are risky they can be your life saver or can change your life

yes, the market conditions are indeed very bad now I think. every day I see a slight decline in the market. some altcoins can't rise. this makes everyone nervous. everyone will hope that soon there will come a good market and continue to grow.

Try to invest in Ripple, Ripple is a great coin, last time Ripple gets a hard pump and many investors get rich because of the pump of Ripple. So i suggest to you Ripple. That is a great coin, and have a good platform! Go for it!

I have been following credits, since the start of their project, and i could say their team are the best one, they keep on attending conferences at any parts of the world, that means they are stick to their goal in making their project known to the world, although this is a good method, but i want their product more usable in the whole business, i am supporting their project. I suggest you could take a study on this also.
I think you better try some ETH, Ripple and etc because they are making some changes to make their value in the market to grow in the coming years that will our investments reached to the moon. And I think you better rush in choosing the currency to invest with your money to get a better profit.
If things continue to drop like that in 1 year we will all go to moon to run away from our creditors.

I think one year is too short for a long term. You need to be sure, that the altcoins of your choice will moon in the future, so be selective and choose only legit projects like LTC, NEO, ETH and so on. Best of luck in your investments.
I agree that one year is very little for long-term investments. Consider a period of 3 years is better. but I would not agree to the advise about NEO and LTC. I do not think that in three years they will be in a good shape. 
time has no effect on the cryptocurrency so how long you hold will not affect the price of the coin, just need to see and wait for opportunities that will occur in the future to sell.
If you look at the current market, then it seems to me now is the time to invest in Bitcoin and ethereum!
I will suggest you choose some alts from old coin and token which has already have good reputation and product to make their coin or token be a great one in future so do your own research and select like 3-4 for diversify in investment , and use btc as a converter cos I believe alts will give more value to that of btc in future .
Personally, I also believe in the excellent potential of such active growth of some reliable cryptocurrencies. Including I choose a one-year investment in the purchase of Ethereum, Ripple and NEO, Waves and Monero. I am sure that they can actively develop and become more expensive next year.

You may listen to lots of advises but you should make your decision, because it depends on your aim and your assets.

I think with the current market accidents, in a year in the charts only Bitcoin will remain, which means you need to invest in Bitcoin, it is the king of all cryptocurrencies that will help you earn and fly to the moon.
