It is very difficult to predict which altcoin is next in line to moon. However, Ethereum is a good choice because it has a relatively low price now. You can also check on Ripple, EOS, because these coins have also shown much capabilities of rising for the past few months.
I think if you make a little mistake in your analysis, then in a year your altcoins can turn into simple numbers on the screen that will cost nothing.

There are lots of potential and great projects which may become something in the future. Take a look at Phatasma (SOUL), they are still in the early phase of their projects and holding them for a year or so will definitely yield you well.

I will choose CMT to hold for a year, Actually I bought quite a lot of CMT in the past and hold it. This is a very good altcoin under my evaluation and many others
