MOBU - FUTURE OF SECURITY TOKENS
February 24, 2019, 12:54:11 PM
Is it very bad if a coin has a low daily trading volume?  The known coins have at least 6 figures or more traded daily at the very minimum.  And of course btc and the top 10 coins are traded in the millions and even billions daily.

If a coin has low trading volume, is that very bad?

For sure it's a very bad sign if a cryptocurrency has low trading volume because it means that there is no liquidity and you won't be able to sell it if you wish to do so. There are no buyers for the coin, just only sellers. This way I always recommend to sell part of the tokens right after the ICO or bounty campaign participation in order to get some profit and eliminate future risks of low liquidity!

Yes, it is a very bad sign for the project and the token as well, because that means the token can be easily manipulated and dumped, no investors will also want to invest in such tokens.

If it has a low volume it means only few are trading it. Which means it is not active in the market. If ever you wish to buy/sell it, it might take time for you to buy or sell it in a decent price. Most likely projects with low volume are dead or not active anymore.

Oh yeah. And there are hundreds of them. If there are no buyers, such investments are worthless. Such coins fall on your wallet and remain there forever. Movement, trade signs of a live project.

You should take note that it is very risky to buy altcoins that have low volumes. You cannot make profit from it because it have stable price due to its low volume in the market.
when an altcoin has a very low volume I prefer not to buy it because it will only make the money I have stuck there, because if there is no trading volume then the coin can be said to be dead and that is very dangerous.

That is indeed bad sign for a coins, low trading volume means that the there are less or no people doing a trading, if we purchase a coins, then there is big possibilities that we will have a hard time to sell our purchased coins.

Nor is it true that the low volume is a bad thing for a coin. However, unless altcoin has a low volume below $ 10k / day, I think it's a very bad signal
How can you say if that was not true? In fact the volume is everything in the crypto. The developers paid a big amounts of money to listed its coin on the major platform to get the big volume to provide the best liquidity. That makes sense if low volume means bad for crypto.

most of altcoins has no value and to my mind you would better collect ethereum, bitcoin , bnb and tezos instead of buying multiple shitcoins. That is my advice for each newbie

Avoiding any low transaction volume coins, at the same time it will be able to manage our cryptocurrency. When we aren't purchasing coins that has a lower volume that means we have a safer precaution on a project that we are join into

It's not a done deal if the volume is low. Some project are just in a hodling phase, waiting for better times. It is nice when a project does have liquidity behind it though.

I won’t invest too much money on coin with low trading volume. It might not able to survive through a long depress bear market. You might also find difficult to sell the coin with low trading volume .Anything can be change too, a small project or a new coin is common to have low trading volume at beginning,  it has still chance to catch up trading volume in the future if it is a good project.

I would not say that it is absolutely bad. Although it matters the amount of daily trading volume. If this volume is more than 5 bitcoins, then this is a good result.
it all depends also on the capacity of the existing market, the greater the trading volume in the market, of course the greater the daily trading volume of a crypto asset. it will also see the performance of the developer in updating information.

Of course yes. So the coin is not very interesting to users. But we must not forget that if the project does not have a finished project, then such coins are badly traded.

Coins with a low trading volume have a high chance of death but they could also be working on development and can shoot up in the future.  This is the risk you have to take if you are going to invest in these low cap altcoins.  It can pay off handsomely but you really have to do your homework on what is worth investing in.
So this is neither good nor bad. Assets with a small volume of trade have only one obvious drawback: such assets can't be quickly bought even for a couple of hundred $ without a significant change in price.

It is an indication really of concern for coin future, but volume should be checked or compared in all exchanges which on coin was launched.

Altcoins with low volume can bring you awesome profit, because the prices may vary on a lot of exchanges. But you should be very careful because sometimes if an altcoin is tradable on any exchange for a low price, you won't be able to transfer them.
