I just received the ZOTAC 1080 Ti AMP.

Still mining on ETHOS Distro:
2000 core
5700 mem

makes = 37.9 MH/s @ 197W.

Still original BIOS. Should I try and flash a particular BIOS? Any ideas to get it to mid 40's?

Every Bios should be fine, but your card should be doing 46-47 with that settings.

Give it a try without the Pill and T-rex in Admin-Mode: --mt 4 --kernel 3
Try to get a core clock between 2012-2037 (all above 2055 will not be stable), below 2000 decrease the hashrate.
I have a mem clock of 5616 on all my cards, but all up to 5700 should be fine too. Don't go higher than that.

I run this in a p106-100 rig with pheonixminer.5.5c on ethos 1.3.3. I think the pill is already enabled by default because the command from their KB is not working (supposed to be only for 1.3.1).
bios: 86.02.39.00.73
Don't know if mt and kernel commands will work on this setting. I really don't want to update to hive and other miners because the rest is running well right now and I never got into hive os...

Htop should let you see whats running...look for OhGod on right column.  CTRL-C will exit the utility

Sometimes it will work fine other times i get rainbow pixels then a watchdog bsod

Yo, good people of the interwebz!

Anyone tried the "pill" with a 1080ti mining cortex (CTXC) with gminer Huh

Can you push it above 3G/s

Bless anyone who tests this for me!

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?
No need to spread needless fear.
The link in the original post (the first comment on the topic) is safe. Has been for a long time.
You can check with virus total.
There are, however, a number of similarly named fakes being circulated around. As you can see here in the original file's relation tab on virus total [...] there are quite a few.
Avoid all EXE files with differing sizes other than exactly 458,240 bytes. Also, check the checksums. The original file's SHA-256 hash value is:
Code:
1261052E34B3205DC04F5DD9E4B76D2649DBCDA738DC8E2665B07F56D659E716
but you shouldn't listen to me and ask for the checksums from the original poster.
@VirosaGITS please do list the checksums in the first post of the topic so everyone can be at ease and avoid fakes.

here are my checksums from the original file i downloaded back in the day and still use now. i posted it before but here it is again.

of course trust no one, dyor but our sha256 checksums match as you can see. not tthat means you shouldnt look into it further.

this is the one i use, its the original from back in the day (BUT DONT TRUST ME EITHER)

Code:
OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2.exe        447 KB (458,240 bytes)     ‎May ‎01, ‎2018, ‏‎10:55:28 AM

and the hashes for the above executable:

Code:
MD5
1351BF58A407FA5F89A6613E00A2E9DF

Code:
SHA-1
547BAE93C4437183E9D3176D226AFAC20AF287E9

Code:
SHA256:
1261052E34B3205DC04F5DD9E4B76D2649DBCDA738DC8E2665B07F56D659E716

Code:
SHA512
38AD312442031871AC73A8FAD87FDF0D02900764CAA697BF3DCBD6B13C35E42CE32F1FA729BF09B4830C8F265054201256BAA1E7B1D51730EFB4BDDC6A3E4BA9

again TRUST NO ONE EVEN ME. and while its the one ive used from the very beginning (long before it was taken down for reasons) USE AT YOUR OWN RISK (if you can find it obviously)

perhaps others who have it will also post the hashes of their (hopefully known good) executable to confirm my hashes.

and no, i will not post it anywhere as im not sure of the legalities, sorry. just posting the hashes for others to verify they have the one that i have (and i got it from the source back in the day).

edit: it does seem to still give a slight boost on my 1080tis on eth even with custom straps via the miner. but its not as good at increasing hash as it was.

Hi there,

What kind of MH does you get on ETH with a 1080ti? I am about to buy one in a few hours hoping it can do 50+

~47 MH/s with the pill

powerlimit 100%  - usually run at 70% but with eth the price it is right now  i went to full power.. pretty wasteful otherwise - and then +200 on memory and core

with tweaking maybe a bit more but 50+ really isnt in the cards anymore. imo.

Would you mind posting your card's exact brand and your actual Memory and GPU Mhz (not the plus)

Update:

Bought the 1080ti its an EVGA SC2 Hybrid Water cooled
It hovers between 45-47 with the pill. Pretty cool , I just wish it would stay steady, it drops to 42 sometimes and barely goes over 46 and occasionally hits 47

My overclock up to 2000 GPU is stable above 2000 quickly crashes.
My memory up to 5812 seems stable, I have not yet tried higher.

I was going crazy reading all these old threads and wondering why my gpu is not able to overcome the 47's wall.

Anyway, I have an EVGA 1080TI FTW3 + Kraken X63 Water Cooler (I got it for gaming, first). I've also flashed the XOC custom bios, so I have full control in clocks and voltages (power limit is unlocked too, but I have no control over it).
I'm using the latest nvidia gaming drivers (not the studio ones) + the latest (I think) claymore miner.

With the Pill, GPU Core at 2000MHz (1100mV) MEM 5760MHz, I get 44-47MH/s with 250W of power consumption.

I can't overcome that numbers. I tried almost everything with overclocking: I can get to 2100MHz and 6000MHz without any issues, but with no benefits.
I saw that some of you guys are using the strap parameters. Do you have any advice for them?

Is there anyone that is still able to get 50MH/s with the 1080TIs? Or is it impossible with the increased DAG size? Please share your settiings with us!

If you have the pill uninstall NOW.

It's a Trojan virus that allows hacker to login to your PC, typically around 1am PT or 4pm ET. It just be from India. They go through your browser and try to drain your brokerage accounts. It happened to 2 of my PCs already that had nothing in common but this file (from OP link in first post) and Phoenixminer which is trust.

Just use Pheonixminer with option -straps 2 it does the exact same thing.

Just for information.
A friend of mine just start mining with is gaming GTX 1080.
It was hard to find the pills exe, we found this one and it seems to works
https://github.com/admin-ipfs/OhGodAnETHlargementPill

With pills + OC he can reach 39 MH/s on ETH right now
Seems good for this old gen.

Dude I just finished stating even the OP link is to a virus. In fact a remote desktop connection virus. And you are posting some random GitHub link. Wow.

I am a long time member here and I can confirm the link in the OP is actually a remote desktop. I downloaded the file from the link in the OP nowhere else.

So far two of my machines have gotten a someone on my screen opening browser and logging into my crypto trading accounts. Luckily I had no money for them to take and Gmail stopped them from logging in (luckily) and a few other exchanges sent me emails.

So PLEASE do yourself and favor and wipe the computer where this was either installed or even copied on. Even if you have the .exe and never ran it, it may have infected your PC.

All you have to do is to add -straps 2 to Pheonixminer and it does the same thing.

DO NOT download this

It works for all gdr5x ram. So it works for the 1080 too.

Yep.  It nearly doubled the hash rate of my 1080 pair. So glad I found it.

The pill only works on the 1080TI.  You are deluding yourself if you think the pill works for any other card.

Sorry for my lame question, but can anyone please help me with linux command lines to install downloaded -r2 pill file on the system? I'm a total noob in *nix, just managed to install the system and Awesome miner remote agent today for the first time. I tried to use commands for EthOS provided by Verosa (changind directory names to mine, of course) and it didn't work. Any help will be appreciated.

Your 47 MH/s are fine. This is one of my water cooled Gigabyte rigs:

https://i.ibb.co/X3LGGSg/999-14-qwezrfuqtzgwije.png

The 25% fanspeed is just a safety feature for my AwesomeMiner. It has 0 fanspeed, because of watercooled. The settings you can see in the picture. Iam using T-Rex with --mt 4 --kernel 3.

I think the speed of your GPU's depends heavily on the manufacturer and the cooling. I also have a few Palits and EVGA non-watercooled, but none of them brakes the 43-45 MH/s, even with same or higher settings and with just 50-60C.
I flashed a BIOS specifically designed for LN2 overclocking, so I have less limitations than stock cards and I can go a little higher in speed.
Of course I have a little more power consumption, but, considering the KW/h costs we have in Italy, the earnings are still more than the costs.

Anyway, I'm glad to know that I'm not doing anything wrong. Things have simply changed since the first "pills' benchmarks" have been shown.

Hasrate has gone down.  I have multiple 1080ti's that used to mine at 50.  They do about 47 now.  Try undervolting and only bumping up the core speed.  I get best results that way.

Sure, undervolting could be the way to go. I have to go deeper with my tests, since I haven't found the proper settings so far. I'll try to design a specific voltage curve, maybe I'll still be stable since mining is not as stressing as gaming.
