Yes, PoS (we call it "Proof of Sprout" aka "Proof of Stake"). Beans will be available to compete with other sprouting beans on the network after they mature. It takes approximately 6hrs. to mature. When a BitBean sprouts, the Beans in that sprouting block are split in two and 500 new BitBeans added to each of the two new blocks. There are simply too many variables to calculate when you will have a sprouting block of Beans. You could check here for an idea of what to expect: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bitb/#!extraction

PoW ("Proof of Work" ended at block 10,000. There are no more PoW blocks to mine for BitBean. BitBean is a pure PoS "Proof of Sprout" crypto now. PoTS "Proof of Transaction Sprouts" will be added in v2.0 This will allow smaller wallets to have a more active role in maintaining the network and be awarded new sprouted BitBeans!

I would like to point out that the Mac wallet requires Mac OS X 10.7 or greater (64-bit). Bean Core will be publishing a build for older Mac OS systems (< 10.7 non PowerPC) in the near term.

On the money advice. As we head into 2016 don't be expecting to be rich before June. x10 returns (or more) are very possible but it will take patients and up to 3 years of investing before shifting to selling off stacks of beans ... but as long as the network and markets are live then more less Beans is at rock bottom range ... my best advice is to buy $1 of beans per day over the next 24-36 months. You will be well served.

Poloniex bans new york users, so I can't use them anymore. They've already disabled my account. Same goes for cryptsy.

I'm sticking with bittrex. If it gets delisted, my entire beans become worthless as no exchange out there will allow me to trade or use them.

Has happened multiple times and the big holders always step up and generate the volume, should be fine. It is pretty much a monthly thing.
