Sorry Guys, i increased network weight Smiley

Hello, I'm new to bitbean and relatively new to staking. My bitbean wallet is missing that green up arrow that provides your staking statistics. I downloaded the wallet from this thread, I also downloaded the wallet from the bitbean.org website, they both have the same version number and missing green arrow. In other wallets the arrow is grayed out when you don't have mature coins. Maybe in this wallet it is completely gone until you have mature coins. Do I have the wrong wallet or am I doing something wrong.

The "green up arrow" you reference is the labelStakingIcon. This is unusual behavior. Please do the following:

In your wallet go to "Help>>Debug window" and click on the console tab. In the input box, type "getstakinginfo" without the quotes and copy/paste the results to an email to me:  [email protected]

labelStakingIcon is invoked when "-staking" is true, which then passes control to QTimer, which should start after 30 seconds and update. Please also indicate what platform (Windows/Linux) your running and indicate if your running Linux if you downloaded the binary or compiled from source.

Thank you.

If you put staking=0 in the conf file it removes the staking ability and the staking icon.
So remove staking=0 from your conf file and then the staking icon will appear and you will be able to stake.

That did it. Thanks alot. I though about why I would have set staking=0. I remember copying addnodes text from somewhere to speed up the syncing process, the text I copied musta also had staking=0 and I wasn't paying attention, just doing a cut and paste.

Thanks again for your help.

Welcome Libertymind

Never seen that... hum...

Try to leave the wallet open and staking (remember to unlock the wallet if you have it encrypted) to see if that icon appears. Let's start with that, if it does not I'll try to contact the dev to help you out.

Usually it's 6 hours but leave the wallet open and staking for more time ok?

Good Luck

Ok. I have it unlocked for staking. I will wait 6 hours. Thank you for your help.

Thanks for the reply, the community needed that Smiley Hope to have you back with full force soon!

Question: I notice you have you're staking your BitBeans into cans, how can I setup my wallet to stake in cans also? Wink

BitBean HeadQuarters Has Moved

I want to apologize to Team Bean as I have been very occupied with moving my Family and Office to a new location.  The move has not gone as smooth as I would have liked. For the first two weeks in June I was on the road and staying in Hotels and camping with my family while waiting for our new place to become available. There have been many extenuating issues that have come up. I am currently getting the office setup and look forward to getting this project back on track. Due to all the issues I have been dealing with, we are 2 months behind schedule. We'll be putting out an updated Road Map soon. Currently I am waiting to get an ISP to install Internet service. In the mean-time I am working with multiple WifFi repeater bridges for Internet. I hope to have the Internet issue resolved within the week. You will see more regular posts and updates from me moving forward. I am grateful (mucho gratitude!) for the great and loyal members of Team Bean and Bean Core! Thank you also to the patient and loyal long-term investors, your patience will not go UN-rewarded. Also I want to thank those who have dumped BitBean recently, so those of us who are involved and working on BitBean can buy some more cheap Beans! Please dump some more!

I'm posting some pics of the new Head Quarters. 'Temporary Head Quarters' until I open up a separate office in a commercial facility...saving funds for now and making the small office work, so we can save money for trade shows and marketing in 2016.

Here are some pics (of work in progress getting the new office setup)...

This coin doesn't need a dev at this point. By the way, anyone seen satoshi in the BTC forum? No?
If you say so.

I payed my Raspberry 35€ and i even learned my way around linux. Yet, for someone that doesn't want that machines like those could be an option.

Just wanted to let everyone in here know about our dedicated staking hardware. Save electricity, and increase your coin's security, get them off of your home computer, and onto the StakeBox. Check it out at stakebox.com. Go ahead, get your long term support cred, buy the device meant to stake your coins for the long haul.

I think that goes in the Mining section.

What is the max blocksize that Bitbean can handle when staking?
I dunno man, it's been two weeks and i've yet to understand that. Start with big blocks, and they'll split their way till they can't stake anymore, and at that point hey should recombine to a bigger size.
