There are no dumb questions my friend. Now just say for example you have 500k beans and you want to split them up into smaller blocks. You would need to activate coin control under settings - options - display and check the box "Display bean control features (experts only)" click apply and then ok. Now you can split your beans into smaller blocks of say 50k so you will have 10x 50k blocks =500k beans you started with. By doing this it can help you sprout more often instead of having your beans in one large block of 500k. I hope this helps.

Hi,

I have done this but I dont't see where and how can I split beans. Can you make a photo or something pls

Tnx

Sorry right now I'm on my laptop and away from home so I can't post a image of this however I can try and explain it better. Now if you have activated coin control you can start splitting your beans up by clicking send beans. Once there you will see a tab "inputs" click that and a box will pop up, then check the circle list mode and all your beans will show up. Then select the beans you want to combine, then click OK Now it will take you back to the send beans box where you enter your address and copy and paste the amount where it says "After Fee:" and paste it into the amount under your address. Then click send and you should be done. I suggest you stop sprouting while doing this.

Good Day, splitting beans into small amounts seems a good idea. Can you please elaborate "Then select the beans you want to combine, then click OK Now it will take you back to the send beans box where you enter your address and copy and paste the amount where it says "After Fee:" and paste it into the amount under your address.". I have 346k beans and if I would like to split into 2 blocks, The first block 173K i have to send to which address? and then second block i don't have to send right? Is it possible to have 2 addresses in one wallet which is sprouting? If so how can I create a new address in my wallet so that I cans end the first block in the send beans column.

Is there any point of splitting you coins into piles like some other PoS coins or just keep them all in the same pile?

In other words, after installing wallet, adding .conf file and coins, do I need to do anything else?

Thx

Yes I think that splitting your beans up into smaller blocks of say 20k to 50k is a good idea to earn more sprouts. Just test out different blocks of beans to see which works best for you, I have found that splitting my beans up into 20k blocks sprouts pretty good but I'm thinking of now making them 30k blocks as the network weight is getting larger and the difficulty has been increasing.

I know this is a dumb question but what do you mean by splitting the beans?  Huh Sorry.. I'm just new in this kind of stuff.

Thanks a lot everyone!

Ok I understand a bit better now. I will play with connections. In terms of updating the list of nodes, how would one do that?

Thanks!!
You just copy and paste the nodes to your beancash.conf.

The number of connections doesn't have any effect, positive or negative, on staking and 5 to 10 connections should be suffice.

Hello there,

2. Does anyone know why BITB is dropping in value so much? Unfortunately I bought at $0.025, so I have lost 50% of value since 2 weeks ago!!! And the sprouting is so tiny that i just keep hemorraging "money" :-)
Any ideas?

Thanks all!

this my help to get a better connection

bitbean is probably going down do to people selling their profits or maybe just scared what i do when this happens is just keep buying @ all numbers balance Initial Purchase Percentage %, sprout more and sell your sprouts for a easy income.

Thanks!

So, i have opened the Beancash.conf - which was blank by the way!? - and pasted all those lines. Will see what happens.
One question though: why is the number of connections=10?

Thanks a lot!
a blank conf file is okay nodes change i would recommend you update the node list monthly

Thanks a lot everyone!

Ok I understand a bit better now. I will play with connections. In terms of updating the list of nodes, how would one do that?

Thanks!!

Sprouting your BEANS is very profitable so buy and take them out of the exchange and put them in your wallet, their .0016 bTc per spout. So take advantage and make some good money  Wink

Hello there,

I am fairly new to this forum!

2 questions:

1. I have got around 400k BITB in my Bean Cash Core wallet, encrypted unlocked for sprouting, but i do not get anywhere near the performance that everybody seem to get!!

So far only one sprout of 1000 BITB, after almost 5 days!. And in terms of connections, i am only getting 6, and the laptop is LAN connected, to a 76Mb/s broadband (EE). How is this possible? My laptop has a intel Core i7, and 8GB ram. I am not sure whether these specs are sufficiant?

2. Does anyone know why BITB is dropping in value so much? Unfortunately I bought at $0.025, so I have lost 50% of value since 2 weeks ago!!! And the sprouting is so tiny that i just keep hemorraging "money" :-)
Any ideas?

Thanks all!

A few months ago before bitbean popped (again), you were lucky to get a stake a day with 1 million bitbean. I wouldn't be surprised if difficulty was higher now with elevated price

Hodl the bean

Yes that's right but now it is a little harder to sprout as the network weight has been increasing in the last couple of months which in a way is a good thing as it helps support the network and makes it stronger. However it does hurt the little guys with a small amount of beans sprouting but they will all eventually sprout.

Hodling is the only way. I just need more FIAT to add more Beancash in my wallet. I still haven't bought a mini pc for sprouting though.  Grin

this my help to get a better connection

bitbean is probably going down do to people selling their profits or maybe just scared what i do when this happens is just keep buying @ all numbers balance Initial Purchase Percentage %, sprout more and sell your sprouts for a easy income.

Thanks!

So, i have opened the Beancash.conf - which was blank by the way!? - and pasted all those lines. Will see what happens.
One question though: why is the number of connections=10?

Thanks a lot!
a blank conf file is okay nodes change i would recommend you update the node list monthly

i put 10 connections because i have other coins staking and to many connections slows things down for me play with the number and find your sweet spot

10? are you getting alot of orphans?
I get some orphans but if i go over 10 connection my wallet stops working I real dont know why in your case things might be different.

Any ideas?

Thanks all!

hello and welcome
400k gets you around that do to the high network difficulty , laptop specs and net connection are fine if you want add this line in your Beancash.conf

Good Day Bean Cash,

I am planning to do sprouting with 346K beans. If I do the staking for long hours and then if the internet disconnects for 5 seconds and then resume again, will it effect my rewards? Please help me as my internet tends to disconnect for about 3 to 5 seconds quite frequently.

I believe while staking, the staking should be uninterrupted for best rewards but not sure if 5 seconds of disconnection will effect my rewards. Kindly advice.

Your beans will continue to gain weight, but you'll only get the reward when your wallet is online.

Can you please elaborate on "your beans will continue to gain weight". Since 2 days my wallet weight is 86725. Will this weight go up while staking my beans?

Yes, beans will gain weight until they stake, I don't believe there is a max weight

That's a great news. Thank you. Can you please tell me the importance of number of "connections" in Bean Cash network. what is the minimum number of  "connections" required? I have seen people having 10 connections, 16, 30 and 66 connections. Which is good minimum number of connections required for promising rewards? I have 7 "connections" in my Bean Cash network. Can I sprout with even a single "connections" ? Sorry if my questions are silly but I really need to know about this.
