Good Day Bean Cash,

I am planning to do sprouting with 346K beans. If I do the staking for long hours and then if the internet disconnects for 5 seconds and then resume again, will it effect my rewards? Please help me as my internet tends to disconnect for about 3 to 5 seconds quite frequently.

I believe while staking, the staking should be uninterrupted for best rewards but not sure if 5 seconds of disconnection will effect my rewards. Kindly advice.

Your beans will continue to gain weight, but you'll only get the reward when your wallet is online.

Can you please elaborate on "your beans will continue to gain weight". Since 2 days my wallet weight is 86725. Will this weight go up while staking my beans?

Yes, beans will gain weight until they stake, I don't believe there is a max weight

That's a great news. Thank you. Can you please tell me the importance of number of "connections" in Bean Cash network. what is the minimum number of  "connections" required? I have seen people having 10 connections, 16, 30 and 66 connections. Which is good minimum number of connections required for promising rewards? I have 7 "connections" in my Bean Cash network. Can I sprout with even a single "connections" ? Sorry if my questions are silly but I really need to know about this.

Whoa! That is great! Are you using a VPS or your own hardware? What hardware/computer specifications do you recommend aside from the Mini PC that was recommended the other day if I may ask goodsir?

I'm using my own hardware, my setup is pretty uncommon as i have to deal with many things regular users don't. My internet is capped but there is a vpn i can use to gain unlimited traffic, then again this vpn doesn't offer a public ipv4 so i need another vpn in that vpn to get a public ipv4 with open ports i can assign. I'm using an entry level xeon e3 from 2012 for my homeserver which runs many things including bitbean quite nicely.

cheers

ok wow. It seems I've got to research these technical jargons. Not to mention that it also involves using a vpn with a public IPv4 address  Shocked  Huh Thank you for your insights good sir!  Grin

As i suspected that the value of Bean Cash will drop down real quick, It could rise up again if they will announce a new update or else the value will just stay the same.

Let's see what will happen on a couple of days if the value increases.
I hope it goes under 100 sat i have my btc ready

Sprouting your BEANS is very profitable so buy and take them out of the exchange and put them in your wallet, their .0016 bTc per spout. So take advantage and make some good money  Wink

Hello there,

I am fairly new to this forum!

2 questions:

1. I have got around 400k BITB in my Bean Cash Core wallet, encrypted unlocked for sprouting, but i do not get anywhere near the performance that everybody seem to get!!

So far only one sprout of 1000 BITB, after almost 5 days!. And in terms of connections, i am only getting 6, and the laptop is LAN connected, to a 76Mb/s broadband (EE). How is this possible? My laptop has a intel Core i7, and 8GB ram. I am not sure whether these specs are sufficiant?

2. Does anyone know why BITB is dropping in value so much? Unfortunately I bought at $0.025, so I have lost 50% of value since 2 weeks ago!!! And the sprouting is so tiny that i just keep hemorraging "money" :-)
Any ideas?

Thanks all!

Im not sure its just me or someone else have the same problem also...
Sprouting 800.000 beans , my rig is online 24/7 , my connection to the network is over 30 all the time, sometimes 65,sometimes 35.
Last time i received sprouts it was 2/27/2018 , now im close to 50% result what the  online bean cash calculator estimated.
I never believed any online coin calculator in the past, those calculator are just a rough estimate... but none of those calculatros are 50% off ...

i have sprouted more than 16 times since 27, however i'm sprouting with 1.8m

seems like you just had bad luck

Whoa! That is just awesome! 1.8M? How long has it been sprouting if I may ask good sir?  Shocked

sprouting since end of january Tongue

I think you should not miss more than 2 days of staking with the amount you have.
Are the coins divided with multiple stacks like 100k each?
Maybe each stack is divided to much smaller unless you were combining them regularly and the network weight increased in recent days?
Did you try close and restart wallet?

I tried .... closed the wallet , restart the wallet , restart the computer nothing changed
a sent beans  to my wallet with 8x 100000 stacks = 800000beans
sprouting worked fine till feb 27th

You can enable bean control feature from Settings => Display tab => Check the box for Display bean control, then go to Send Beans => Inputs... => Click on List mode.
You can see how many stacks of beans you have and how many coins on each stack.
You can combine or divide there and I saw 100k coins for each stacks  were recommended for better staking a while ago, but it could be changed with ever changing network weight.

Your stacks of coins are 25k to 50k now, since your original stack of 100k staked and each stake was split in half.
You can combine 2 or more stacks by checking the box on the far left of coin control window and sending the your wallet address.

I think you have these options for now.
First, leave the coins as it is, since you have restarted the wallet already and it's going to take some time to see if the restarting made any difference.
Second, combine them all as a stack and start staking as whole and it's going to take few days.
Third, you can combine those 25k stacks to 50k or 100k for newer staked stacks but leaving 50k stacks. To do this, arrange the stacks from new to old by clicking on the top of Date or Confirmation column
and check the stacks you want to combine together, then send the chosen coins to your wallet address where your coins are right now.

I did not know srpouting bean cash is based on luck

There are a lot of factors that come into play when sprouting beans. The network weight/difficulty comes into play as the more weight in the network the harder it is to sprout, I noticed that when the price starts to go up and more people transfer their coins to the exchanges, the network weight goes down and that is when I sprout the most. I have around the same amount of beans as you and I have been sprouting at least every second day. Do you have your beans in smaller block sizes? Most of mine are in blocks of 20k.

Yesterday I did a quick survey on twitter just to have a quick feedback about the expected amount of beans from sprouting. The link to the tweet is: https://twitter.com/BitbSproutCalc/status/970532000653332480

Tweet: "Time for some feedback guys! I would like to know what you guys think about the http://sproutingcalculator.com . Has the expected sprouting been right according to the beans you have been sprouting?Have you sprout more or less than expected?"

got so far 4 replies:

- "I have sprout more"
- "same here i am sprouting alot"
- "8.4% sprouting for me"
- "It's bean more then expected."

I don't mind if expected bean after a month is HIGHER than expected.

Note: I have tried to have all the BEANS sprouting in one address and in different addresses, and my conclusion is that regarding staking it looks like it does not matter if you have all in one address or in more than one. Currently, I have them slip in 5 addresses. On one of those addresses, the beans aren't "mine", they are sprouting on behalf of a friend, and even that address complies with the expected monthly sprout!

So if you aren't getting the expected sprouts remember, that to reach the expected amount of sprouts for that month you have to have the wallet OPEN and in SYNC 24/7, and then there's the "luck" factor but from my experience, it won't differ that much from the base number that you get from the sproutingcalculator.com

Hi all,

i am a noob regarding staking but i would like to involve and from what i have read Bean seems interesting.

I have some really newbbie questions and if any experienced user can give me a heads up i will be much obliged:

1. The sproutcalculator says i have to have 100000 beans. I can not buy this amount of beans right now . Is it worthy to stakea lower amount of beans?

2. Does the amount of beans someone owns has any connection with how much sprout gonna get?

3. Do you know any good links with tutorials explaining stuff regarding beans?

4. Are there advantages to use a service like simplepospool and if yes is it better than staking on my own?

Thank you for your time reading this.

Regards.
