Uh, I'm not sure what the developers did, but you should probably be aware that without PoW blocks a PeerCoin/NovaCoin fork is vulnerable to the stake burnin vulnerability.

Interesting, I was under the impression that the POS vulnerability was fixed in the next update.

It was -- by using modifiers derived from the entropy of the PoW blocks.  Grin

See in kernel.cpp:
Code:
bool ComputeNextStakeModifier(const CBlockIndex* pindexPrev, uint64& nStakeModifier, bool& fGeneratedStakeModifier){
...
}

ComputeNextStakeModifier uses hashes of 64 blocks (both PoW and PoS) as source of entropy.
Compare 64 blocks to forge StakeModifier with 10 blocks to confirm transaction.

trading in the shadow's shadow
Pity post...

I got really drunk last night and sold my 20k Blackcoins at 800 on the first wave. I woke up in the morning with a terrible hangover and watched the price of BC continue to rise, then I proceeded to throw up. I'm over it now, but it looks like I wont be able to buy back in without taking a pretty decent loss. Comfort me, ridicule me do what you will.

Pity Donations...

Ahaha, just buy back in man. Don't go for short profits.

that's not bad.... sometimes it's best to secure small profits, the whale may stop this pump at any time and then you'll be crying if you could have sold with a profit and now you have a loss instead. Happens to me a lot!
I sold 2k around 800 as well (bought at 600 so thats good!) I have plenty more, bought at higher prices so I'll get rid of that when there is profit on those buys as well and I have 2k of mined BC's that i may hold on to till we reach the moon. Smiley

I didn't know coinmarketcap invented a time machine...

It can only forecast into next week though. Not too impressive.

What I love with Blackcoin is that dumpers make another people rich. Everyone is happy, dumpers make small fast profits. buyers make big slow profits. So dump to me your BC Cheesy
If trading allows you to accumulate more coins and supplement mining, how can that be a bad strategy? Not everyone has an endless supply of BTC to invest without having to sell some coins first as the market changes.
