If you think BLK is distributed well, check out IXC.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/explorer/bubble.dws?coin=ixc

Ooh that's beautiful. Aren't there any exchange wallets though? I'm not familiar with the coin.

It was merge mined with bitcoin for years, so it is very well distributed among many miners.
It's the first altcoin after namecoin.  Released in 2011!

Is it true that there are no more whales holding bc?

At times it doesn't feel like it since it seems every time BLK gets some good buy support it is countered by someone dumping like 3-9 BTC worth of BLK.  It's kind of discouraging but I'm in it for the long haul, been holding since the beginning  Grin

I have extreme belief in this coin, the community and the Dev team. No matter what the charts say ATM, I know they will be different and waaaaaay more beneficial for us holders in the future.

I have been holding Blackcoin for 3 years, and I have strong confidence in Blackcoin too, I believe it will rise like a rocket sooner or later, probably in 2017.

Whales only make coins less predictable, their stability is an illusion.

I sure hope so. That'd be great. Proof of stake works better with a healthy wallet dispersion.

So, wait. Let me understand this.

Now that BLK's codebase is 0.12v, it supports SegWit/LN and all the other goodies which come with the same version?

Not yet but the benefits of SegWit have been considered to be implemented to improve the PoS network further.
Maybe it should be one thing to consider in future releases.

Some people in Venezuela are literally going to starve to death because the only money left of the businesses they used to run are kept in bitcoin and the network is failing their requirement to live.  I wont say the people at the top dont care but they dont feel the pain of their actions certainly

What are you talking about?

did you saw the whitepaper about BLK's PoS3 ? https://bravenewcoin.com/assets/Whitepapers/Blackcoin-POS-3.pdf

It's more a yellow paper as it was not authored by rat4 who devised the changes within PoS3.

Ideally the users should be choosing direction, the people paying and using the coin network for whatever purpose can decide and however it relates to the fee cost for them and so on ?
I always thought that was a mistake bitcoin was making, I dont blame the various people, their egos, views or actions even but if the network becomes centralised to just one point of failure it suggests the inevitable breakdown and problems that beset modern FIAT ?

0.13 is segwit code. To remain neutral to both strands of development (ie rat4 is still maintaining a client and may have other plans this summer), the codebase  was brought up to 0.12 which allows for loads of other stuff but doesn't automatically assume a political position re:segwit etc.

Very professional to take a distance in this messy debate and simply work with both ends. Whoever wins.

Blackcoin holds no stake in this issue. We have a stake in something else Cheesy.

What is segwit/ln?
bitcoin core : segwit and lightning network

Easiest benefit to promote to cryptocurrency users is securing your own blockchain and gaining the rewards that normally go to miners.

Honestly, maybe an ad campaign on PoW forums and subreddits would be a good place to start.

Could we not run a fundraising for such an ad on reddit? Maybe Gritt could provide an address where the community can send money to for this?

I would be a Donator for this...
Possibly even provide several different addresses for several different campaigns.
